I want to really like this store (good selection & prices) but certain employees really make me feel uncomfortable. The younger gentleman that works Saturdays is definitely on some kind of drugs and seems like he’s really out of it and trying to avoid helping customers and answering questions.

I love having Elston in Poway. Nice clean store. Friendly, helpful sales staff. Well stocked. I can highly recommend Elston Hay & Grain.

I used to love the friendly staff at Elstons but it has really gone downhill. The skinny older man with glasses was one of the RUDEST people I have ever met. My car alarm went off by accident my friend kept accidentally setting it off and we couldn’t find the keys so we were laughing about the fact that we couldn’t find them. He approached our vehicle noticeably upset after I turned off the alarm and said it wasn’t funny. I went in and apologized profusely saying it was a complete accident because we couldn’t find the keys and my ding dong friend kept accidentally setting it off. Even after apologizing multiple times he wouldn’t speak to me or acknowledge my presence. He was so so rude! So moral of the story don’t accidentally let your car alarm go off. Oh and my horse friends also mentioned that this gentleman has been rude to them as well. Even though I have done TONS of business with Elstons over the years I will not be until they find new staff.

Kind of out of the way, but worth the trip. Cheerful friendly service. In and out in minutes. We buy pine bedding pellets we use in place of cat litter. Less dust, less odor and much cheaper than regular cat litter that doesn't work as well.

Elston's Poway is wonderful!! Always so helpful...delivery service goes above and beyond as delivery driver put down all new pallets to keep fresh hay bales off muddy ground

If you have chickens, horses or other technically more traditional pets than petco urban options, it's likely you already have an opinion of this place. If you live in Escondido or east county, there are other options for feed stores, but my only real complaint is their hours; my pseudo complaint is not allowing us to haul own own sacks to our vehicles when pulling in that parking lot on the first place is many people's only redneck adventure and some hay in the hair would complete the experience.

Elstons is a great place for quality, affordable feed and animal needs. The staff is attentive and answers questions and the loaders are quick and friendly. I wish they opened earlier on Saturdays but you can't have everything.

I like shopping at Easton's because the employees are always nice and helpful. The store is well stocked, and their prices (especially with newsletter discounts) are competitive. The store is easy to access with ample parking. Guess I couldn't ask for much more!

The reason for the one star is I was in the Ramona store today. I felt so bad for employee. She was helping customers, manning the phone finally someone came out. Rang up one customer and left while the other employee was still trying to help others and those on hold on the phone. The employee with the beautiful curls was so gracious and professional.I will not shop where the employees are treated like indentured servants. They're are plenty of other feed stores, thank you!

The Poway location has always offered outstanding customer service. The few times that there has been a hiccup in the service, the problem was corrected just as soon as possible - and always with an apology and a smile. If the item I am needing isn't in stock or carried by Elstons, the employees do their best to help me locate what I am wanting.
