Jonathan was amazing! He went out of his way to recommend me what dog food I should get for my dog. He went over the best ingredients to look for in the food and what to avoid. I've never had anyone help me this much, I truly appreciated it. He educated me and was kind. I would 100% recommend this place but especially to ask for him for help.

I only come here for the grooming salon. It is standard-issue Petco in every other respect: while the cashier is friendly and helpful, there is usually just a single cashier at any time, so you might end up waiting to check out. The grooming salon is nice, and the service is excellent. Prices here are about $10 higher than at other salons for some reason. It would be nice if the salon was near the front and had a separate entrance. Morning appointments can be a hassle since if the main store is closed you have to force the doors apart to enter and then walk towards the rear of the store.

We needed to return something due to our error. We purchased the wrong food. The person was great at taking it back and getting us what we needed. They also were wonderful about helping up find the items we wanted.

The employees here are very knowledgeable, nice and upbeat. My fiancée and I stopped by here after shopping at Walmart next door because she wanted to get some dog treats for her dog. I was more intrigued with looking at the animals. I saw some guinea pig, Fish, gecko, snakes, spiders and etc. The store is going through a remodel so some stuff might not be at the right place. I had a good time looking at all the animals that was out. The downside is that they only had 1 checkout aisle open, they don't have self checkout. An employee also told me you can't record inside the store but I was just talking pictures.

I made a vet appointment yesterday and received my email confirmation. I drove almost 45 min to find out my appointment was canceled because I accidentally put wrong number for the appointment. They told me it was my fault in a VERY rude way! ( of course was my mistake) but they had my email where they sent me the confirmation!!I asked them why they didn’t send a cancelation email and the guy helping me just told me “we were busy today so we could’t send you an email”.TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF!! They “manager” was rude at all times!!Be aware of this place!

They didn’t know what was wrong nor had any kind of idea. I was told the vet was going to have to google things and make calls but at the same time when I refused test I received attitude from the assistant. They didn’t give me the results right away I had to ask for them myself. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the doctor reached out to another doctor to ask questions in grateful for the effort.

Love this PETCO as it is usually well stocked with everything I need for my pup. I really appriciate the people who work at this store because they are really friendly and they are well informed about the products the store sells. I like taking my dog with me and he loves to go to PETCO.As a pet parent and a animal lover, i feel good about giving my business to a company that has a no-profit foundation that helps animala in need called PETCO LOVE.

It's Petco on this side of town. I actually take the drive to come to this location. The cashier lady always super cool and always super helpful. Stores always clean, and I can always find what I need. Customer service is on point. The veterinarian portion vetco is on point. Everything is on point here.

I took my little Louie V Yorkie to the Porter Ranch CA location, everyone there was kind, friendly, Caring and professional. My usually highly anxious dog was relaxed and comfortable. They got him feeling much better and on the mend, also gave us great recommendations to keep him feeling good. I drove all the way from Burbank d/t the availability of appointments but I would drive back there again if needed. They were great!

No service, low stock and I usually don't go in public places but really had to use bathroom. Looks like they haven't cleaned in weeks. With what is going on today with pandemic, kind of shows this place doesn't care about cleanliness.

Always under staffed since COVID. I try to be understanding with shortage of staff and supplies- but to have ONLY one person on the floor who is also new, is ridiculous!! The girl was super nice and hard working. Helping out a family with SO many questions about their puppy. I could not find the dog food for my daughter’s dogs. And no help!! I asked this girl (short, long hair, Asian decent) for help. In an Extremely rushed voice, said, I need to get this to a customer, I’ll help you right after. Nope never to be seen. She might even be the manager.Half hour later the same new girl helped me find it. Very hidden in some isle. It’s a speciality food. Now waiting in line so I figured I’ll do a review since it’ll be a while.Petco makes so much money off their puppy mills for ALL animals they sell. You’d think they’d spend some money on hiring more staff. And stop having all the prompts to donate when you’re trying to pay. Petco should just donate. Terrible experience!Let me know if other local pet stores are better.

They Didn’t even cut my dogs hair . After having him for 2 hrs they called me to say he had a lot of energy and was being “difficult “. He’s a very chill dog and they even raved about him being so calm at the last grooming apt. Appeared to me that they weren’t qualified to be working in the grooming dept as my dog couldn’t have proven to be any more challenging than a normal dog. My neighbors said the same thing happened with their dog there. Very disappointing. They simply bathed him and cut the hair by his eyes and then proceeded to charge me 50$. I’ll be finding a new groomer.

Pet harness was shelved at $22.95. At register it was rung up at $27.99 for a smaller harness. Cashier refused to adjust or even send someone to correctly shelve the items.He couldn't be bothered so I won't bother going back.

First, the store called to tell me that the stylist called in sick and reschedule my appointment. I expressed my disappointment as for client, the policy stated that client had to cancel at least 24 hours in advance while the store called and canceled my appointment just a few hours before my appointment. Then, yesterday, when I dropped off my dog for the bath and haircut, The stylist kept telling me that if they couldn't detangle her hair (she did have knots at a few places), then they had to cut her hair short. I told them I prefer to keep her hair long if that was possible. When I picked up my dog, she looked so ugly. My daughter cried all the way home!When we were waiting for our dog to come out, there was a Poodle dog came for a haircut. Again, the receptionist kept telling the owner that they will cut the hair short (#8 or so on the sample chart, the one that is next to the shortest length) even the owner kept telling the receptionist that she wanted to keep the hair length at #5. I do hope that owner was not disappointed like we did.It seemed to me cutting the hair short is the only thing that the stylist at that location knows how to do. Lastly, we had to pay in advance before we could see how the work was done on our dog. If the service was good, the store should not be afraid that the customer would not pay for the service!

Horrible experiencePeople walk by and don't even ask if you need assistance. I had to grab someone after one person walked past 3 times and another once. Even the guy at the register was no help and acted as if he did not know anything pet related. Hoping the (Vetco) side, which was closed, is better otherwise I guess I’ll make the extra drive to Granada Hills location instead of Porter Ranch

Jay and the gentleman that was at the register were so so helpful!! Jay assisted me with recommendations on stuff to get for my new kitty and introduced me to vital care! The cashier helped me sign up and gave me a run down of all the benefits! They were both super friendly.
