It’s been extremely difficult to try and reach this groomer. Calls and texts go unanswered. Finally received a text back days later. Told me to come 8/22 and scheduled an appointment for 11am. Came today and waited outside of the location for more than 40 mins. No response, no call, no pick up. Do not waste your time. Find another groomer who is willing to do business.

Horrible customer service. Multiple times I have made an appointment, confirmed that appointment, waited outside several hours for someone to show up for my appointment. And NOTHING! No phone call. Nobody shows up. It's as if the customers time is irrelevant. I am done. I will make it a point to let everyone know that this place sucks.......

Same posting as others regarding keeping scheduled appointments. This one-man show is the most unreliable groomer I've had the unfortunate experience with in 6 years of my loyalty. When the business ownership changed from Jordan, this business went way downhill. I scheduled 3 appointments (this time, and 2 previous appointments last week) and the owner (Matt?) repeatedly either didn't just show up or left last minute texts to cancel the day of the scheduled appointments. The owner always has absurd excuses for last minute cancel excuses ranging from the "bad weather" that doesn't happen, "I lost my car keys" to the dog ate my homework.Learn from my experience, don't walk away from this business, but RUN!

Same thing as every one else. Multiple appointments, all canceled, various excuses that don’t add up. Been coming here for a few years now, was a good business. Matt doesn’t care at all. Unfortunately a once thriving business will close. Very sad.

These people are so unreliable. I texted them multiple times with no answer and when they finally did and gave me my appointment, they canceled. I never had an issue with them before. Who knows what’s going on with them.

Tl;Dr - The grooming results are good. They've always treated my dogs well. The groomers themselves are all over the place. They don't keep the appointments they make and their communication skills are poor. It's very disrespectful to the customers and unprofessional.Long version:I used to feel assured taking my dogs here to be groomed or have their nails trimmed. They've always done good work with my dogs. The issue is their lack of communication. They're difficult to get a hold of, they're inconsistent and lately they've been very unreliable.Example: They scheduled an appointment with me on Sunday. They knew they'd be closed on that day and they still let me make an appointment anyways.Today when they were supposed to be open at 8am. They were closed and flaked on a bunch of people who showed up to the business via appointments. I understand emergencies happen. Life happens. They still had the responsibility of contacting their customers and letting them know of the situation so they could rearrange their day and take their pets elsewhere.They couldn't be bothered to extend the minimum courtesy of a text to let anyone know the business wasn't going to be open. This isn't the first instance of disrespect I've seen but I've had enough of it. I'm sad for everyone inconvenienced because of their thoughtlessness and irresponsibility.They must not care about their customers or they don't care if their careless decisions reflects poorly on their business. I hope they get their act together. Until they do, look somewhere else.

i usually groom my dogs but this is my first large breed - and after being turned away from others on the basis of not accepting new cliental, we booked my 10month golden for a nail trimming hair trim and bath . i was not disappointed and will be returning

Very awesome people here who helped us get a haircut for our hairy chihuahua. They took their time and even tried every pet groomer to see which one he worked with best. Thank you guys so much!!!

This groomer does a great job, my yellow lab is always excited to go in. They take care not to get water in his ears since he easily gets ear infections. Reasonably priced services. Usually able to fit him in for a same-day appointment during the week.

Fabulous service. Had a small misunderstanding when we first went but after the owner called because he wanted to make sure we were happy and took great care of us. I appreciate the commitment to great customer service. My Husky looks great and she was very happy when I went to pick her up. The sign is misleading. This place does grooming ONLY. They do not sell pet supplies.Full disclosure; I did not use any services, I was only looking for dog shampoo. Id rather give my money to a small business😭 but Petco wins this time.

I was referred to BGG by my brother. Having a new pet, I found it difficult to upkeep his goomimg needs. BGG has been nothing short of amazing to my boy Big. Having an American Bully can shy people away however when I walked in I found the owner playing with him on the floor as if he was a baby. I was so happy they have treated him so kind. Big is truly a kind and shy dog. Thank you BGG for taking good care of him. He's been there 5x

I called this place on Thursday March 19, 2020 to make an appointment for that upcoming Saturday. The following day (Friday) I received a text message from the groomer to confirm my appointment. I replied immediately to confirm my appointment for Saturday at 8am. On Saturday, I arrived at 7:50 at the grooming shop. There was a sign on the door that stated that they were closed due to the state mandated closure. Clearly, this is understandable, but I would have appreciated if they would have contacted me to communicate their closure. I tried contacting the number provided, but nobody picked up. A text message was also sent to that number and have not gotten a reply back. I will definitely take my dog some place else that does not lack responsibility and a professional attitude.

Over the past ten months we have used Barking Good Grooms multiple times. We take our dog Bella 🐶 and I must say when she arrives at the location she is very happy and Jason ( and his Wife owners own this business) they are very accommodating on the times and dates we schedule our grooming appointments, drop off and pick up times.We have had grooming services at other dog groomers business's in the area and I must say that Barking Good Grooms prices are the best and the customer service is excellent.(🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟)Bella is always very happy and she looks and smells great. We really recommend Barking Good Grooms in Port Hueneme.

These are very sweet, nice people, I like this place very much. There is no stress, good energy and because of that it's a simple thing to bring your dog there. Heidi is a terrier so it's not complicated but I've seen the other dogs that are leaving with their owners and everyone looks terrific. I highly recommend them 😊 all the other groomers I've gone to have high stress atmospheres this place does not, yay!!!

I've been to several groomers throughout Ventura county and have had some horrible experiences and some not so bad experiences. Today was my first time taking my dog to Barking Good and its by far the best groomers I've taken my dog to, the prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and my dog came out looking fantastic.

Left in tears today after being told first that I did not have an appointment, but I confirmed through text.Second was told my beautiful Cockapoo was matted. The groomer Matthew actually argued with me while I was showing him she simply has very tight curls.Worst part is, I sent the owners an email regarding my experience, and so far... one week later, they have not even responded.Horrible customer service. Shame on them for not even trying to make things right.

Have been coming here for a while now , and am so pleased to have found this shop! My mini schnauzer Ochee hates having his nails clipped but the team at barking good manages to get them done quickly and efficiently. Reasonably priced for a groom, and the staff is always so friendly. Definitely would recommend !

Incompetent and ruthless. I took my dog for an allover haircut/trim and they forfeited the haircut because my dog was "scared of the clippers". Yet they still charged $33 for giving my dog a bath! It's ridiculous to call them professionals if they can't even manage to clip a dogs hair because it's scared. Is MY dog the first dog they ever encountered that wasnt used to being clipped?

I made an appointment with a text message confirmation and they had no idea what I was talking about when I got there. Fast forward to making another appointment and I get there and they say they can’t take my dog. I do not recommend!

Took my dog for a haircut. They were not capable of clipping her hair because she was " scared". Isnt that where experience and professionalism is supposed to come in. But I still got charged $33 for bathing my (already clean) dog. Save your time and money and go anywhere else.

I am very disappointed on this poorly unprofessional service. I scheduled an appointment for today. I went there wasted my time, my car gas, and went quickly to the office (appt) just to find out it was closed. I went there and called many times and no one answered. I searched their website it said it was open. Their answered machine (voicemail) stated they were open but their office was closed!! Why scheduled me an appt if they were going to be closed! Totally not going back!

Don't bother making an appointment. You have to wait weeks for an appointment only to get there and be told that the groomer won't coming in. This is not an isolated incident.
