Beautiful winery to visit with wonderful upstairs tasting area. Wine was fabulous. Our tasting pourer was fun and informative. After tasting we had a great time taking in the amazing scenery while playing bocci ball and drinking our Pope Valley Winery wine. Definitely make your way here to taste!

Very cute winery with friendly staff! This is a gorgeous winery with great wines. My only flaw is I did not see an elevator for someone disabled to get upstairs but they did have downstairs seating available!

Very nice winery and a great way to spend a couple of hours on pleasant Saturday afternoon. Linda helped us and was very friendly and pleasant. We tried the four main wines and then she poured us the Faultline. Amazing, ended up buying a few bottles! It’s a bit off of the main road but the views and drive are well worth it!

Honestly loved the experience and how beautiful the winery is. Everyone is very kind and Kristin has such a kind spirit. We appreciated our time there, the tour, and of course the wine. 🍷 Definitely recommend to go. Would love to go again when ever life brings us back to California. 💙

This winery is tuck in a small corner but it is amazing. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and my little one (5 year old) had lots of fun. Super chill place, glad to have spent my birthday weekend here today.

If you are not looking for a pretentious snooty place to taste local Napa wines this is the place for you. Helena (our host) created a fun welcoming atmosphere for novice wine drinkers. She explained to us how to appreciate the wine and broke down the different flavors of each wine, starting with lighter wines moving towards darker. She also gave us a tour of the cave where the wine is stored, which was hand dug during the prohibition era and showed us the upstairs which gave us a stunning view of the vineyards at Pope Valley. Despite the rain, Helena gave us an unforgettable experience and did not turn us away because we were traveling with a 10 year old child. We purchased some delicious bottles of wine (Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Port) and also played some cornhole.

One of the best wineries in the Napa Valley, in my opinion. Great wines and reasonable prices, especially for the quality. The staff is great and always accommodating. Highly recommend.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Venue was really beautiful and fun. However, there is much better wine to be had in the region. We bought a bottle after our tasting just to not seem rude (maybe silly but here we are) and we really regretted it. Cork broke into the bottle when we opened it and we ended up pouring most of it down the drain because, after all the good wine we had on this trip, this just tasted overly acidic and unpleasant. Money down the drain, unfortunately.

I almost don’t want to write this review in fear of more people going. Great experience with Brooke, she was super friendly, very informative and answered all our questions. Very quaint winery with activities to boot. Highly recommend, and ask for Brooke if you go!

Loved the vintage and rustic feel of this winery. Has a great history and they repurpose the wine barrels and bottles to make unique stuff. If you are lucky then on the cats on the property might join you for the tasting as well.

We read other reviews saying this was a hidden gem, and Pope Valley did not disappoint! It's off the beaten path and you need to take some very twisty, windy, steep roads to get there, but the drive was both beautiful and fun. Pope Valley Winery is very relaxed and down to earth, and perfect if you're looking for a more chill winery. They have a "petting farm" where you can walk the vineyard and touch and taste the grapes, bocce ball, and plenty of other open outdoor space. Our host Reanne was wonderful and, because it was not very busy, offered to give us a tour of the winery. They were all so great we ended up joining their wine club, and look forward to visiting again!

My wife and I took a drive to Pope Valley to see the area. We visited Pope Valley Winery for a tasting. Ely was our host, and an awesome time we had. The wines (all) were wonderful and we ended up buying one of everything to include their beer! We will be back again soon.

Pope Valley Winery was like going home, and having the most wonderful wine to enjoy on a beautiful day. Brooke was welcoming and I think the whole family was there to make everyone feel welcomed. We were out taking pictures of the beautiful countryside, the blue skies, white clouds, green hills, and all the wildflowers blooming; Stoping here for our picnic lunch, was matched with the best wine I have had personally in my life. It was a real surprise and just perfect. Bravo to the best little winery in Napa!

Beautiful location, we were able to bring our own picnicking food and have a wonderful lunch. The wine was met, but we had good views and a cool tour in the wine cave. The winery is a little out of the way compared to the rest of the vineyards, which meant a longer drive but also more privacy and less crowds.

The wines were so delicious and pricing so exceptional, I had no problem deciding to become a long-term wine club member. Our host Dana made the experience exceptional. PV Winery is a beautiful and rustic area with tasting tables both in and outdoors. We enjoyed some cornhole and bocce in between the generous five-pour tasting. The personal guided tour of the cave was neat!

We visited the winery and were blown away. Great wines, with generous pours of each wine, superb host in young Prescot, he was very knowledgeable and was attentive but not too much. The winery is of the old era which is still very much alive and kicking here. The buildings and the history are so interesting which makes the whole experience even more pleasurable. Highly recommend to all wine lovers. Cheers

The Pope Valley Winery is one of the best wineries in the Napa region. Their attentiveness to detail and tradition gives quality flavor to their wines. Samantha, the Tasting Room Manager, could not have been more friendly and solicitous. This winery exceeded the expectations of my friends and I because it is reminiscent of old California before the vast commercial wine production hit the region. It’s a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. I enthusiastically became a Heritage Club member after tasting and now get their delicious wines shipped to me!

I've been going out to Pope Valley Winery for a few years now. Hands down it's my favorite location and the wine is superb. They have fantastic outdoor seating with quiet natural surroundings. The remodeled tasting area is super, although I really liked the rustic shanty that it repaced. If you want to get away from the commercialization of Napa, it's a must do. In my opinion the wine is better also.

Truly one of Napa’s hidden gems. Pope valley winery is exactly what napa was always meant to be- amazing wine, great atmosphere and down to earth people without all the overcrowding and overpriced fees we unfortunately see at some many of the household named wineries out there. I simply can’t recommend this place enough. So much history (open since 1800’s!!!) great wines and a phenomenal great location. Our favorite part is their wine cellar which was carved out from rock by hand back in the day- amazing!

Bring your own picnic and enjoy some bocce - that's the best parts of wine country without the crowds.Take a tour of the grounds if you get the chance. The barn opens up into a hand carved cave where they store the wine...very cool.

Very nice place in a beautiful location. The best is how genuinely friendly are people there; not just the person that attended us (I think her name was Jessie), but also people which was just working there (Javier and Bill) and stopping doing their job just for talking with us and showing us the place.
