Professional tip. Don't buy the Marsh-mellows here. Unless you enjoy the taste of cleaning products and Clorox inside them. In other words, buy anything other than things you can put in your mouth. Otherwise spend your money on cheap products that won't cost $20 such as in Target.

Mangement is a joke at this store! They care more about an expired twinkies than employees not following procedure with cash handling or theft protocals. It also generally is a mess inside. Clerks arnt at the front. They seriously put a sign on the door saying they are in the bathroom. It seems like the employees who actually care ar let go when they speak up. They should really start drug testing these people. Will never shop here again.

The Store has really lost it's quality this year. The new staff gossips, leaves all stocking in the isles and shelves are quite empty. Some staff don't work and have the poorest of customer service.

The store is great. Have to search for the good stuff. And watch for expired food. But I keep going back for that for deals. 😊 The cashier was horrible! Wouldn't stop talking about himself, how he hates his job, the store sucks and bad managment. Even told me that the music makes him want to scream. He needs to go. But I keep going back. Usually it's a good visit.

Hi my experience at family dollar was a good one. The people there are really nice and real friendly. Most of there prices beat anywhere else's. And I was surprised by the selection of food. All and all a pretty good place to shop. P.S. need to get bags.

Clean store great prices nice employees.... I have to update my review over the last 6 months the store has gotten overwhelmed with stock it's EVERYWHERE it's unsafe very cluttered no zoning going on .. i use to go in and grab cosmetics that is now a disaster i haven't been able to buy cosmetics for the last 3 months because it is always empty very disappointing

I called Family Dollar in Pollock Pines California on May 6, 2020 in tears with the intentions of purchasing a pair of tennis shoes to put on my moms feet and a bra. After re-connecting with my mom first the first time in several months, we spoke on the phone. I was determined to help her after finding out that these past months she has been homeless. During these trying times with CoVid-19 she has struggled to receive help, Those that have known her for years have shut her out from the hysteria of social distancing... Long heartwrencihing story made short, i valled Family Dollar and spoke with Pam. A woman whom ive never met, and she must have heard the pain in my voice. As i pleaded with her to make a purchase over phone. She denied me in efforts to protect my information. Without even skipping a beat, this woman said "I will not take your information over the phone, But send her in and I would be happy to buy them for your mother"This is proof GOD is at work even 400 miles away. He put that woman on the other end of the phone that day, and my mom isnt barefoot. God bless you Pam

I found some Biscolata chocolate STARZ cookies and chilled Loca Moca Java Monster, and two-dollar flip flops. Polite smiling clerk gave me a bag I didn't have to pay for. My visit made me fee as if life was actually good for a moment.

After the old Los Hermanos burned down, I was frustrated to hear it would be replaced by a dollar store. I thought "Pollock Pines needs a dollar store about as much as we need another auto parts store".But this place has grown on me. Initially, when I just needed a jug of milk or a box of cereal, wanting to avoid Safeway's checkout lines and CVS' old and expired food items, but more recently to purchase as much as they have on hand that I normally would have purchased elsewhere. Bottled water, soft drinks, milk, cleaning supplies, condiments, snacks, nuts, and related food items, even over the counter meds. Yes the selection is not vast, but what is there is cheaper, and fresher than even Safeway (with milk usually having a 3 to 4 day further out 'use by' date).Staff is friendly, and there's rarely a line to wait in, and I have even been impressed with some of the 'Family Dollar' branded items. What's not to like?
