Since this is kind of the last stop drug store between Placerville and lake tahoe, the prices here are higher than most other similar stores elsewhere. I guess i understand, but i dont agree with it. If you get the right coupons, and try to use their system of discounting, you come out alright. Anyway...The staff has always been friendly at checkout, and generally helpful. Other than at the register though, they typically seem to not exist. Once in a while i may find an employee stocking or something, usually in a crouched position (oddly enough) where they aren't visable unless you are right next to them.I guess i pretty much find what i need here to a basic extent. This is a pretty small town, so not a whole lot to be expected.. Its not target or something.Haven't had the best experiences in the pharmacy. I will just say that i get Rx at safeway now.The store pretty much always seems nice and clean!

Horrible automated phone system. Makes you waste gas to find out if your perscription is even filled or not. Safeway across the street is better so dont bother with CVS.

Good store, don't care for getting rid of people helping, replaced with auto tellers.One thing, you use to carry Miller High Life Bottle 🍺 Beer, now none !!

I have had problems with my prescriptions every single time I've gone in over the past 6+ months. This pharmacy constantly says they didn't get the prescription, they lost the prescription, they need the doctor to call them back, they don't have them in stock... Some of the associates are also very rude, which only adds to the frustration of running out of medication because the pharmacy screwed up.It's worthwhile to drive an extra 15 minutes to Placerville to pick up prescriptions there.

Every single time we go to pick up prescriptions, there is a problem. EVERY SINGLE TIME! I have never had this happen at any other pharmacy, ever. I understand the staff being overwhelmed, but half of them don't seem to know what they are doing.

Pros:Frequent good deals on alcohol and soft drinks.Cons:Pricing on every day items is 20-50% higher than Safeway.Check the expiration date on sale items (even non-sale items). Lots of expired and near expired items on their shelves.Be mindful of the marked sale prices of what you buy. Too often they ring up higher at checkout.Most non food/drug items are of wal-mart quality.Had an issue with their pharmacy one night just before closing. Had a real need, but they were rigid, and not very accommodating. Since then, I've been much happier with Safeway.So I pretty much just come here to stock the bar, but not if I need ice as theirs is usually old, and mostly frost.Update 3/15/2020: prices on booze and soft drinks seems to have gone up. At least what I buy is now 10-20% cheaper at Safeway.

It's not the individual stores, buT rather the $5.00 A MONTH FEE FOR BEING A REWARDS CLUB MEMBER. I signed up and my first bankstatment showed a charge for $10. I called and after a number of transfers on the phone, the extra charge was removed. Meanwhile, I called to cancel the remaining membership and was told they'd take care of it. Six months later I am still being charged.so I called again and someone with broken English offered a confusing promise to take of it at this writing the account is still alive and taking $5 every month. Warning:do not sign up for extra care rewards!

The pharmacy associates are terrible. They can't even bill basic medi cal. They delayed my daughter getting her antibiotics for two days. I transfered her prescription to rite aid and they had it filled and billed in 45 minutes. If I was corporate I would let go of every single one of the associates. I have been in retail management for 20 years. The worst service I have ever seen.

Horrible!!! Would not give me my script. After multiple calls back and forth with my doctor, the worker at the pharmacy finally realized that they had entered something wrong in the system and were being rude to me for an error on THEIR end. Then, the pharmacist must have SOMEHOW not put the lid on the bottle correctly and my medication spilled on the counter!! The worker then used her BARE hand to pick up the medication and put it back in the bottle!!!!! INSANE!!!! Will be reporting this incident. SUCH a health and safety violation!!!!

My Dr called me in some pain pills and the pharmacist had to flex his power and deny them because he didn't feel I took all prescribed medicine. What a big weenie. A little power sure goes to their heads.

often have long waits and high prices, only thing you can say is that Safeway is just as bad. Several times I have asked them to stop calling me about refills but they ignore my requests. I get 2 or 3 calls every day, even for pills I no longer take, and they fill my answering machine. I would not reccommend them and would not use them again.

CVS corporation is not customer or employee oriented. I paid for a savings program, carepass, and they could not honor advertised discounts. After comparing savings pricing I found I could obtain same items elsewhere cheaper.
