Small shop with lots of good bread! We bought a loaf, went to the market and bought some cheese and just had a picnic outside on a picnic table. The bread was still warm as we ate it, around 10am. Note, they do not sell breakfast sandwiches, though they do have pastries and coffee for the mornings.

Nice little bakery. I stopped as I was heading out of town to pick up a few pastries. I got a Strawberry Poppyseed Scone, Toasted Almond Meringue, and a Cinnamon Croissant. The Croissant was especially yummy warmed up. They have all types of sweet and savory items. Quiche, sandwiches, crackers, biscotti, brownies, cookies, just all types of good looking treats. I'd be coming back regularly if I lived in the area.

This is our must stop spot in point Reyes station. The sour dough baguette sandwiches, tea cakes, scones are all amazing. They used to do decent cappuccinos but looks like they recently lost their barista. Hope they find someone good to fix that but since they’re really seeking their pastries I’m still a happy five star customer.

Oh man. Their pastry is amazing. Talk about your perfect tart crust! Ditto the quiche - perfect custard. Excellent espresso drinks as well. Highly recommend the Golden Milk done dirty.

I first discovered Brickmaiden at the Berkeley farmers market many years ago, and was immediately impressed. Since that discovery I would frequent Point Reyes and go to the local stores that carried their bread for wholesale to get my fix. But now they have their own bakery!! And it’s great. And it’s not just the bread that’s excellent, their scones are amazing as are their cookies (particularly the sesame one).

Brickmaiden run a very impressive outfit. The naturally leavened breads are a thing of dreams. The olive oil crackers are, well, like crack. They pair perfectly with the cheese from next door. From the dizzying array of cookies and treats, we settled on the macaron (perfectly constructed to be at once delicate and substantial). And, the brownie-yeesh-such wonderful chocolatey, gooey, crisp-on-the-outside goodness. I will always, always return to Brickmaiden when in Pt. Reyes.

Once we had tried their excellent plain butter croissant, we knew that we hit the jackpot and tried a variety of things. The chocolate croissant was of course excellent, and so was the quiche. Their savory scone was a little dry but still very tasty. They have a nice little garden retreat in the back where you can enjoy your coffee and tasty treats which is a big plus.

Though this crusty crunchy baguette may not be for everyone, it floored me. The texture was heavenly and so was the best scone I've ever eaten, by a long shot. Go ahead, and buy you favorite scone and compare it to brickmaiden. Theirs is crunchy, light and moist and yet still a scone. Maybe they are redefining what a scone should be or maybe i just never knew.I've been to Paris and had the 2018 winner for best baguette and though the flavor is more mild, the texture is adventurous and lovely. And those were the only two things i tried. Will be back!!!

The best pastries! Special thank you to the barista and/or baker who took my order from the porch. I couldn't leave my dog outside for his own safety. Though dogs aren't allowed inside the shop, they have a lovely dog-friendly garden area.

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago and was surprised at how delicious the pastries are here. I had a lemon tea cake that was phenomenal. The gougeres were great. My husband had a slice of quiche that he enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this bakery and will be sure to visit everytime I'm in the area.

The scone was excellent , Coffee top notch. They got a great machine. The bread looks good, but a little bit too expensive for my blood! Let me know if it’s any good and worth buying it for $19?

First, thank you for having a chocolate chip cookie without nuts. All of their items that I have tried over the years have a delicate clean flavor that comes from using fresh and whole ingredients, fruits, spices, etc. Brickmaiden has mastered pure comfort items that make your soul happy. They pair perfectly with an morning beverage. And the staff they have at the Thursday Civic Center farmers markets are always the most friendly people at the market.

All I can say is WOW! As a bakery and bread/pastry connoisseur, I'm not easily impressed. This place was incredible. I had read someplace that people in the know come HERE for pastries and espresso, even though the other bakery in town has a massive line and seems more popular. Where to start? Best scone I've ever had in my life. And I don't even like scones! Plain croissant, the item that every bakery should be judged by, was outstanding - one of the best I've had. Their bread? Also fantastic. Espresso? Hand crafted, and there will be a wait, but well worth it. Homemade soda? So good. Shortbreads, biscottis - you cannot go wrong here; you just can't. We didn't want to leave Point Reyes Station because it meant leaving this bakery. And we've been trying to scheme ways to get back ever since. If ypu appreciate high quality pastries, breads and drinks, then go here. You won't be disappointed. Oh, service was excellent too.

Everything is good here! We found their pastries, bread, homemade crackers and cookies to be very high quality. The fruit and savory tarts on rye pastry crust are especially amazing. They also do good espresso drinks and have a small but nice tea selection. We stopped by every morning during our stay in nearby Inverness and are still thinking about Brickmaiden now that we're home. If you're lucky to get one of the 3 stools by the window, you can stay in and enjoy. Otherwise it's not really setup to hangout. Everyone was super friendly but they can be slow and we had a couple of mornings where the line was out the door. So come when you have some time to spare.

Absolutely incredible baked goods and coffee. Certainly worth a stop by. Locally sourced and milled flour in the bread <— wow! Everything from meringues to quiche was tasty and worth the price. No bathrooms. They advise that you use the local park bathrooms instead.

The quiche is del-iche, the savory tart has my heart, and the savory babka is ... damn good. I also recommend the Golden Milk. But now down to brass tacks. The baked goods are indeed good, very good. The prices are a little steep, but more or less expected for Marin. I come here again and again; perfect for fueling up before a day on the range. The kitchen staff seems lovely and appears to be having a good time. The main woman often running the order window on weekends does not. She seems like she needs a hug, or one of her own delicious babkas. It doesn't at all ruin the delight of the food, but it does put a slight damper on the vibes. Overall, it's good and I recommend it.

Tried a couple different items and all were great: apple tart/turnover, lavender honey pound cake and chocolate babka. Nice touch of adding whipped cream on the tart and on the coffee :) Looking forwards to visiting again!

Delicious and innovative savory & sweet babkas here. The slice of coconut & chocolate babka was incredible and so indulgent for breakfast. We had to return the next day to try the savory version, which is poppy seeds, scallions and cream cheese.

I just ate one of the most delicious foods I've ever eaten, a mushroom, onion and chard sandwich on homemade bread. Extraordinarily delicious! Tasty, full-filling, uniquely delicioso!

If you need to look at the prices, it’s probably too expensive for you. And forget about sitting in there pretty garden area and trying to eat those expensive pastries. Clearly, somebody has been regularly feeding the birds. They are quite bold about flying right into your personal space and grabbing chunks of what you’re eating.

Great artisan bread. Organic local ingredients and an incredible brick oven! They are an important part of West Marin's local economy worthy of your support. Brickmaiden: open your storefront soon as you can!
