This place is beautiful, I am so glad I stopped here to check out the ride pools and shoreline. The views are serene and gorgeous. The food at the cafe is some of the best I have ever had! And the people who work at the cafe are so sweet and friendly. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are relaxing in your own hometown.

I have never been to the pier. Very old and serene. Walking the rocks next to the pier was awesome! No restaurants were open due to the pandemic. Still a must see spot if you like to explore the rocks and small pools of water for sea life.

We have been traveling to Point Arena for over 37 years. We love fishing from the Pier and watching the surfers. Walking on the rocky beach at low tide is the best. Our family used to dive for abalone and pick sea urchins off the reefs.. Great memories...

Whales spouting about and pelicans were seen as we fished off the working commercial fishing pier. Watching boats launch from the 6 ton crane was a treat. Salty fisherman gifted my son and his buddy a few live Dungeness crab, and let them check out the days’ 275# catches.

Nice place to walk around and watch the life that goes on there. My Navy Seabee veteran husband likes watching boats and water and the boat winch was fun for him. We walked along, talked to a couple ol' gals fishing. Good place to stop and stretch one's legs after driving a lot.

A working pier so often cluttered with large crab traps and boats being hoisted in, plus a decent number of recreational fishermen too line the rails. The surfers often gather and scan the waves off the end checking the conditions and sometimes even jump off with their boards to get a head start to best surfing a mile or two along the beach on the right. Folks generally nice though again the commercial fishermen got a job to do so stay out of their way and stay alert when you see boats being brought onto the pier with the crane. Cool thing is you can often buy fish or crabs right from the fishermen for decent prices. Good pizza at the base of the pier too. Fishing can be ok but a lot of snags. Don’t bother dropping crab pots here at the pier as people only get tiny crabs and few at that. Trust me I’ve tried a few times and seen many others try to with little to no results.

It's a great place to stop and stretch your legs. Alot of surfers and cute little coffee shop.

My SO and I went twice, the first time the tide was high, sky was cloudy and it was windy. Def should have brought a coat. The following occasion was sunny, lowtide and more joyful. Pier has WiFi, a few tables and places to fish in the pier. Is it a fun stop while in the area? Yes. I don't think its worth driving far out to visit.

Great place to take the dogs, then get something to eat at point arena pizza, or the pier place restaurant upstairs.

Great place to enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer and watch the waves rush in

Absolutely serene. The gentle lapping of the waves is calming. This is not a soft sand beach, but it would be hard to find a more beautiful setting- especially during the sunset.

We usually love to eat at the Pt. ArenaChowder House! They're seafood is fresh and delicious. The big old bar is old school and staff friendly. Unfortunately yesterday, it was closed because of Covid19! Be safe Chowder House + see you soon! The surf was good though!

Fishing on the pier is very difficult. Tuns of rocks and snags. The coffee shop there makes a great mocha.

Great place for walking the beach and finding treasures! Pieces of abalone, shiny from tumbling in the ocean, driftwood, beautiful weather...I LOVE THIS PLACE!

I've seen more picturesque piers, but this one has all its bases covered. There are picnic tables overlooking the sea, a real working pier with fishing and lobster or crab boats, a swing, a rocky beach, plenty of parking, and an attractive restaurant and cafe.We came at dusk just to take a peek, and were rewarded with a family of sea otters feasting on a fish they had just caught. That's one for the bucket list!

Good fishing spot off the pier, but can get crowded so get there early like we did for breakfast coffee and enjoy the sites.

Great surfing spot. The pizza at the wharf is one of the best in California.

Beautiful place for fishing. Caught a bunch of perch, two skates and a cabazone. Use sand fleas for the perch. You’ll find them underneath the seaweed in the gravel.

Not a tourist destination. Strictly a working pier. One shop in the parking lot.

Neat place to hang out. The shops and restaurants are unfortunately closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, but we brought lunch and sat on the rocks. It's a pretty spot.

I was dirtbagging it down the coast and saw this place had 3 dollar 5 minute hot showers. I got 2 tokens for 5 bucks and took a loooong 10 minute hot shower, which felt great after 3 days of dirtbagging in the van. Easy parking, easy to get shower tokens from coffee shop, girls inside were sweet as can be and very cute. I'll stop here again when I need a road shower, and maybe even try the pizza next time. If you're a road warrior and need to scrub, highly recommend

I was at a private party for about 20 people. There was a fixed menu, but the food was absolutely delicious! The likelihood of me being able to get there again is not much, but that's not because the place wasn't good. I am totally blind and can't drive, so getting there would be difficult. If you're ever in the area, try the chowder! I ate enough of that that I was too full for other things, so I don't know what else to recommend. The decor was very cool! It was a lovely place to be..

The place to rest and recover from the rigors of the road - with excellent food, amenities and lodging. The full beach experience with comfort. Walking along the pier is just so refreshing! Watch the surfers, birds, waves and fishing boats. While there check out Pier Place, Pizza and Cove Coffee. Have excellent coffee, little gifts, and good, fast food. Excellent stop for families and really everyone.
