No pool or spa in service. Beautiful area, but pack food because dining options are limited and mini market are expensive. Nice area to go on coastal trail walks.Nearby activities: Visit to lighthouse is just 2 miles away.

The little cottage was wonderful and 3 miles from the lighthouse. The cottage has a full kitchen and full bathroom. They don’t have internet unless you go online and pay for it and you have very limited cell phone access. The have a little coffee shop opened for breakfast & lunch with indoor & outdoor seating. The facility also has a pool & spa. There isn’t much to do in the area except hiking or hanging out at the beach. Point Arena is mostly overcast and chilly. Great place to unwind and relax.

I enjoyed my stay here. Forty plus cabins right off highway 1. A couple of miles away from the lighthouse and a 5 + mile easy cliff shore hike. The kitchen was very well equipped. Actually better than most Airbnb's I've been to. Comfortable bed. The had the crunchy hospital plastic wrapped pillows which was probably the only con thing for me.I had forgotten some items from home and was able to take ups delivery at the front desk. The lady was very helpful. The restaurant is only open til 2 pm. The pool water is not warmed and the hot tub was warm not hot. I stayed there for two weeks and there was no cleaning in between the two separate weeks but I was charged for it.I recommend this place. Specially during the winter since it wasn't that crowded.

Location is great. Quick drive to many sightseeing locations. Isolated so there is rarely sound from obnoxious cars. The actual buildings were a lot smaller than we expected. However, it met our needs. One bedroom and a pull out couch in the living room. If you have more than 4 people total, this is not the building I would recommend for you. Picture attached is zoomed out for a broader view. There is a Cafe right at the entrance and that was nice.

This is NOT your typical RCI GOLD CROWN resort. It has a nice, casual, inexpensive restaurant on site ... and the lighthouse is on the same road. It is $5pp to get in + $5pp to climb and meet the lighthouse keeper who gave us our evevated tour. The gift shop is great! Has everything. We came back and hiked the open fields on two different days. All you have to do is make sure you loop the chain back over the gate behind you. There are easy paths which are simple to navigate. Walk towards the beach, and you'll see 100s of Pelicans on the beach and beautiful views.

Cost spot. Gas fireplace is a nice feature. Individual cabins made for more privacy and quiet. We were there in late January, so hard to say if it accommodates families with kids. One restaurant next door, others 2 miles away in the town of Point Arena.

Beautiful Location. Clean grounds and unit. Nestled in the trees. Lighthouse Road right there. Just a two mile drive to the lighthouse to view gorgeous sunsets. Rural area so Star Gazing is tremendous. A bit small but perfectly adequate for two adults. The bed was very soft, too soft for our liking. Kitchen well equipped. Oven is a convection oven that looks like a microwave. Nice galsses for beer or wine. Friendly staff. Lots too see in the area. Shopping very limited. Stopped at Costco in Santa Rosa on our way up for food.

Cozy little cabins provide everything you need for your home away from home. The cabin was clean/sanitized before we arrived and the kitchen cupboards were stocked with items like pots, pans, silverware and cookware, pot holders, knives, strainer, measuring cups and spoons, wine glasses, regular glasses, and coffee cups. There was also coffee and a coffee pot provided. The closet contained an ironing board and iron. The bathroom included travel shampoo and conditioner, soap, and a blow dryer for guests use. My favorite feature was definitely the fireplace. I would go back again.

Cozy cabins, gas fireplace, fully kitchen with newer cookware and utensils. Many newer screened windows that open & high windows near peaked roof let in light. Plenty of storage. Darker furnishings a bit dated but not a big deal. Perfect space for a couple or family with 1-2 kids. Close quarters for 4 adults. Well kept grounds with large redwoods surrounding. Next to Arena-Stornetta preserve, with its amazing meadows, stream & headlands, ravines, birds, stunning cliffs overlooking the ocean. An easy not-to-miss hike.

Nice room suite. Mini kitchen is well stocked with utensils and appliances. Full range of cups and plates. I've been sleeping on memory foam, so mattress seems springy but was comfortable after all. We made most of our dinners using the kitchen during our week stay, so the local cafe being lunch only wasn't an issue. There is a laundry room and you'll need quarters from the front desk. The pool was heated while we were there. Great central location to explore up and down the coast.

Stopped in to do some tree work at this resort from Ukiah. The Cafe is small with outdoor seating available. The meals have a home cooked feel with good prices! The lighthouse is not to far from here with guided tours. The cabins are beautiful and well kept! While staying here be sure to head into town to check out the pier and have lunch! Plenty of activities to do while visiting Point Arena!

The unit was great for two people who want a quiet & relaxing time. Nice privacy, bathroom and kitchen facilities, etc. I would give the resort 3 1/2 - 4 stars if that was the only item. The pool is not heated and the spa needed cleaning and paint, badly. Also, not much to do at the resort. Hwy 1 is narrow and curvy so getting anywhere takes time. But there is something to be said for peace and quiet.

We spent a week here mid June. The weather was generally sunny, but a bit chilly in the mornings. The cabin was very nice and well equipped, but the gas fireplace was a bit finicky turning on. We we surrounded by pine trees, but minutes from the bluffs overlooking the Pacific, and from the lighthouse of Lighthouse Point. The one thing you should know is that with the exception of Point Arena, just about everything is at least half an hour away on some really winding coastal highways. We spent a lot of time driving, but we still had a lot of fun !

Clean, well maintained, and well stocked individual cabin-like units. Very quiet and peaceful. Not much to do on-site and "resort" is not an accurate description. Also not the best place to be when it's raining since roads and parking areas are not paved. The trees and ferns look great in the rain but tracked in a lot of mud. It's a 55 minute drive to Mendocino in the north. Do not drive that section of Hwy-1 in the dark. Plan ahead.

First time traveling in this part of the US, so didn’t really know what to expect. Units at this location are ~12’ wide by 36’ long & are probably pre-fab construction. If you’re looking to get away from the hustle & bustle, this location should suffice. However, there are a few quirks to advise you about.Other than the café next door, not a lot of dining choices in the Point Arena area. And while the café is convenient, on those days it is open, it closes at 2:00 PM. Cell / internet service is non-existent & in general, most day-to-day services are a bit of a drive away. Additionally, several local businesses seem to think nothing of sticking it to the tourist crowd – we saw gas process approaching $7.00 / gallon & heard of some spots over $8.00 / gallon. As far as the unit itself, it appeared to have been very well cleaned before our arrival. To that point, the bed sheets smelled of bleach & after being in bed for just a few hours, whatever the chemical, caused our skin to be irritated. The thermostat is the ancient slide tab style, making adjusting the settings an exercise in frustration – the slightest tap seemed to change the setting by at least five degrees. Just upgrade to a digit thermostat, they’re more efficient & can be had for less than $20 each. The return air vent for the HVAC is in the cabinet under the sink. While the cabinet door is vented to allow air flow, there is so much stored under the sink that the vent itself is mostly blocked. When it came time to check out, the process is a bit cumbersome. The office generally doesn’t open until 9:00 & checkout is by 10:00. Should you want to check out early, you must leave your keys in the safe located by the office entrance. Unfortunately, you need to know the combination to the safe. Wanting to check out before 8:00, we call the office & leave a message. We also call the after hours / emergency number as well – no response. What if its an emergency? Saw one of the maintenance workers as they were arriving for work & explained the situation. While he too didn’t know the safe’s code, he was willing to turn the keys in for us when the office opened.

Low key, camp like setting. We enjoyed the great staff and cozy cabins. Lots of hiking opportunities in adjacent parkland. We stayed during California power shut down and staff made every effort to take care if us.
