It was an amazing stay. Myself, my sister, and our two daughters. The cabins are so great. Cozy little cabins tucked away and on a lake with a great wrap around deck and hot tub. The cabins are fantastically built and have a lot of cool details that you don't see anymore. They are really cute and well put together. Great little wood burning stove to keep you warm. Mini fridge, microwave, electric stove \ oven and full compliment of dishes and utensils. They have barn cats that wander around the property and we adopted Amos for the weekend. He came right to us when we called to him and slept in the bed with the two girls and was happy as could be just chilling on a cushion and being pet. He has 7 toes on his paws which is really cool, and he's just the sweetest cat ever. It made our whole weekend to have a cat to hang out with. The tour is really great, they take you around in land rovers and show all the animals to you. At night the Giraffes roam the grounds and they come so close to the cabins, it's just magical. We were sitting in the hot tub and there were giraffes just a 100 ft away from us. I loved every minute of the stay. If it's raining just bring shoes that can get muddy, the grounds may be a little muddy around the parking area. I can't recommend this place more. It's such a great place to spend a weekend.Rooms: The cabin has one bedroom with two beds and a loft with a large bed.

For anyone seeking a very special unique experience on the California coast that is a hidden gem of beautiful animals and great people, visit B. Bryan Preserve. They care for some of the most beautiful African animals and have created an environment for preservation and fun education. They have at least 3 species of Zebra in addition to species of antelope and 4 of the most handsome giraffe, the tallest at over 18 feet tall. There are multiple tour options but the most immersive private tour will bring you face to face with zebra and giraffe….it is well worth it to have such a personal experience. It should be on your bucket list!On site are also the coziest cottages with incredible vintage design, very comfortable furnishings and a view of the giraffe paddock. We went outside to walk to downtown for breakfast (a very short walk, about 10 minutes) to find 3 of the giraffe munching away on some tall branches in the morning sun. Very cool. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, warm, kind and informative. They welcome all of your questions and address them with kindness and a wealth of knowledge. If you want to plan a special trip, B. Bryan Preserve is worth it. It will create lifelong memories while helping an incredibly organization that relies on guests to fund its mission. It’s a win-win for everyone.Special thanks to our guide Sierra for giving us such an amazing experience to cherish!

Glad they are helping the animals for sure... but this is just a small zoo-like place, not a safari-like experience...did the guided tour and Logan was great!... my wife and I enjoyed it, but our kids (ages 4 and 7) lost interest easily.

Amazing views and beautiful animals. The animals are very well kept and have lots of room for roaming. The views are so great and the employees are very helpful. Tours are great and give lots of helpful information. When you go on the tour make sure to wear clothes that are okay to get dusty, it can be very dusty while riding in the safari cars. It feels like you are in the African plains when on the tour. The gift shop is very nice. Incredible place.

Did not stay here even though that was an option to do so. The place was great, we did a tour which was about an hour. we were able to get out of the land rovers that transported us through the compound to see the animals up close. But at a safe distance. You'll have an opportunity to see them up close because they give the animals treats to show up by the fence. The main attraction is the giraffes because at the end of the tour, you get to feed the giraffes they will lean down to you to grab the cabbage from your hand.

We went yesterday for a birthday/family outing event and did the VIP tour with Megan as our guide and animal caretaker. She did an amazing job and showed our somewhat chaotic and large family the utmost patience, respect and knowledge. She answered all of our questions and made our experience one that I will never forget. I hope to come back again one day and do the tour again and see all of the animals. In terms of the animals, they all seemed happy, healthy and content with their lives. I think it speaks volumes that a deer has chosen to stay because they take such good care of their animals. The B. Bryan reserve gives them the life they deserve and need, and dignity while spreading awareness/raising money for some very important causes.

The BEST preserve I've been to! The staff is insanely knowledgeable about their species. You can tell they take the absolute best care of their animals and are working towards conserving precious species daily. I loved going on the tour and learning about different African hoofstock species and their cool adaptations. They have all 3 species of zebra and Nubian giraffe! Please visit if you can, it's so worth every second!

We absolutely loved our stay at B. Bryan Preserve. We stayed in the bridge cottage and it was absolutely perfect. The view of the giraffes was our favorite part! Every single staff member we met was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. It is obvious they love all of the animals and truly want the best for them. The tour was very informative and we learned many new things. If you’re in the area, B. Bryan Preserve is a must visit!

A little gem on the coast. We hopped in a range rover with a few others and toured the grounds to meet the animals. Our guide Sierra was knowledgeable about the animals and conservation needs. There were 3 types of zebra, several antelope and giraffes. At the end we fed Moxie the giraffe. Apparently the giraffes can be trained for vet care and also painting sessions. If we come back this way, I'd like to paint with them. If you're in the area take the time to support their efforts. Highly recommend the guided tour.

We've come here a couple of times already and stayed at their cottages. One thing that may not want me to come back anymore are their toilet seats, they're wooden and they're stained, it's gross to me to have to sit on that toilet seat.Their service is awesome and the animals are lovely to see and visit and learn about them. I especially love feeding the giraffes, we normally spend a good amount of $$ at their souvenir store, it's worth it since it benefits the animals and the employees who work so hard at this place. Worth the trip of 3 hours and quiet town. We love it. (Except for the toilet seats)

Had a wonderful time on a recent self-guided car tour. We had been past the property several times trying to spot zebra and the giraffes from the road, but finally made a reservation to see the animals up close. It is a relatively short drive around the property to see the animals in each enclosure, but with only one other car on the day we were there, we did not rush, and took all the pictures we wanted. The highlight was the chance to feed a giraffe at the last stop, which is the only time you are allowed out of your car. The keeper was very friendly and knowledgeable, and answered all the questions we had about the animals and the property in general. Spent about 45 minutes at the preserve, after a 40 mile trip from Fort Bragg, but would not be surprised if we stopped in on our next visit to this part of the CA coast.

The preserve is well-managed and well-maintained.When we were there, on a weekday, we were the only ones on a tour. In the driving tour, you don’t get out of your car until you get to the giraffes. If you have purchased lettuce from the office, you can feed the giraffes. you are chaperoned closely for this activity.

Cottage & Tour both AwesomeWe stayed at Zebra cottage and it fit 3 nicely. Everyone in our travel party loved it! We loved the zebra themed decorations & the outdoor hot tub! The cottage had a very comfy king size bed that my daughter loved. Kitchen was well equipped and came with a fridge, microwave & oven.On the day of our tour it was rainy and the giraffes went hiding into their barn. We therefore got a rare chance to get up to eye level with giraffes and fed them! When did you ever get a chance to look into giraffes into their eyes? They did a lot of conservation work here and provided a nice place for Zoo animals to retire. Worth a visit!

I really enjoyed my experience at this preserve. The drive getting there is long, but it is a lovely scenic drive. The animals were great to see, and the tour guide we had was knowledgeable and pleasant. The best part is definitely getting to feed the giraffes, but I also loved meeting all the animals. Some of the zebras are free roaming the grounds and that was pretty cool too. At the end of the tour you can visit the gift shop and I found some great wooden figurines. My husband and I will definitely come back to visit. We want to try their lodgings, which we didn't know they had when we first arrived.

Stayed 2 nights in the bridge rustic cabin. Very cozy for our family of 3. It had everything we needed and the best part was the private hot tub. If you're not into rustic accommodations, this is not for you. But was perfect for us especially since we did the on-site animal tour. Loved driving through the property and seeing the zebras, giraffes and antelopes on the way to our cabin. Tour was incredible. My son loved feeding the giraffes at the end of the tour

A nice place to visit when you are in Mendocino. Its a great work done by these people to preserve Giraffe Zebra and Antelopes. A nicely developed place. While taking the trip of the Preserve, it is very well explained by the volunteers/staff of the Preserve. They also give the opportunity to feed Giraffes. A real good project with excellent purpose. Best wishes,

The whole family loved B Bryan Preserve. We stayed in the Bridge Cottage and loved it. The decor with antellopes was nice and the hot tub was awesome. We need to come back in the spring or summer as sunset was fairly early when we went limiting our usage. The highlight of the trip was feeding the giraffes on the tour. You get a sizable discount if you stay there. Our toddler was beaming ear to ear and couldn't stop talking about it for a week saying "feed giraffe lettuce".The owners and staff are good people and are doing a lot for the conservation of the animals. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area, it was about a 50 minute drive down from Mendocino.

Our second time being here! This time we brought our kids. The private tours were booked already this time so we did the self guided. It was great and I would do it again but the private tour is where it's at. I was super jealous of those on the private tours. Before feeding the giraffes was more fun but it was still a good experience. Also the gift shop I personally loved. Left with a couple wood carvings. Included some old pics of me back in 2014 feeding the giraffes before covid

Took the family to the preserve to feed the giraffes. It was a pretty amazing experience. We got to feed the giraffes right out of our hand and even held food in our mouth for them to grab. It was a surreal experience. They also have zebras and other animals. The staff was great and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend.
