Very nice hotel that's very dog friendly. Ken runs the place and does a fantastic job (he'll give you a nice lesson about booking directly - call please him to save $). Housecleaning was very good, rooms were very clean and some staff might live there (and are very nice). A friend stays here every July 4th - no fireworks allowed - but it's very dry in summer. We were there in December and there's actually some grass at each end of the building for the pup. Free breakfast is back but there are several GREAT breakfast spots near by. Donut/breakfast sandwiches within walking distance but Marlene's & Glen's Diner a mile away has the best chicken fried steak YOU WILL EVER HAVE! And they are also super friendly. Overall a great stay with fantastic views.

We live nearby so there was no need to ever stay; however, family and friends visiting us state this place is awesome. Whelp, unforeseen circumstances forced our family there late one evening. Shenandoah Inn was a pleasant relief in the madness we had going on. Jesse, the front desk attendant, was amazing and helpful. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. We ended up having so much fun, our boys said we need to do it again just for fun. We highly recommend!

It was my husband's birthday. We have been there before, so I hoped it had not changed much. The room looked nice, but then there were some issues. The room faced the sun side, so couldn't open curtains, because sun was too hot. Maybe they should get some reflective film. The bed was like a trampoline. Ever time my husband move, I would get woken up. The breakfast was not great either. Packaged food, so we went to the donut cafe that was great!. Rate was expensive for what we experienced and wished it was a better stay. We probably won't be back.

Great place to stay! I was riding in on my bike and Ken reached out to check on my progress and greeted me after a long ride. The pool and hot tub were just what I needed and the room was perfect. Lots of little things like razor and toothpaste. I wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks for your Service Ken and for taking great care of me!

Found ourselves in the snow storm in Sierra foothills. My husband is a Supervisor in our local Municipality. He was on call, roads closed, blocked, our power out. We made a decision to go to our local hotel at least for that night. Ken at Shenandoah Inn, was amazing, took excellent care and when power was still out the next day, needing the room again, Ken made sure we were well taken care of again. We evacuated during the Caldor Fire, Ken took excellent care of us, the fire crews and other evacuees. If you need too, or if you're traveling, I highly recommend the Shenandoah Inn, call the hotel directly, talk to Ken.

This is right on the highway. The nice things I can say is the air conditioner works and there’s a clean pool. The beds are OK.Just discovered that for two people they left us one coffee packet.Even though it says on the website the breakfast will not be served because of Covid, the man at the front desk last night assured us that we could. But now at almost 8 o’clock in the morning they are closed up can’t even get a bottle of water. The refrigerator barely keeps anything cold. So I will be throwing out my expensive dinner from the lovely restaurant down the street. And they gave us 24 ounce bottles of water. I guess I should be grateful that there are two of them. What are the lamps does not turn on because it’s broken. And instead of fixing the overhead fan in the bathroom, they simply removed the wall switch. I assure you that is very very uncool.I would never stay here again. At over $200 a night for two people it is literally highway robbery.

We have a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff and management team were so welcoming and adaptable to our needs, the room was spotless and the amenities more than we could have hoped for, especially during covid. The location is perfect for wine tasting weekend. I highly recommend this place and to book directly with them instead of third party websites.

When I needed a safe, cozy and warm place to stay after my all electric house lost power and got 3 feet of snow...the Shenandoah Inn was the perfect solution and even 30 minutes closer to work! I also did not experience any of my medical problem symptoms when I was there...very peaceful. Ken and his wife were very gracious and helpful. Also I love the view out the back!!

The managers Ken and Marie are awesome! Very clean hotel and amenities are just right. Rooms are bigger than the hotels you see today. This hotel might be a bit of a distance if you're going southbound or northbound but the little bit of drive is worth it. Managers will give you tips for wineries to visit - just ask... Ken served in the military if that's helpful to you. Marie is a very gracious hostess. Here are two views looking out from our second floor hotel and a portion of the entrance.

Great views and a spacious sweet were ours for our stay. We were part of a large wedding party and the staff made sure to take care of anything we needed. The continental breakfast is simple but has quality items and is quite filling. They are VERY strict about the pool closing time, but offer an outdoor patio area where you can congregate for late night gathering under the stars. This place is absolutely worth a visit if you're on the Plymouth/Jacskon area.

Our band Avalon Rising played at the Motherlode Scottish Games this past weekend, and we stayed here. The rooms are spacious and clean. The amenities (including the little things like mints in the fridge, free bottles of water, free razor/shaving cream, etc.) were an unexpected treat. The views of the Shenandoah Valley were breathtaking. The rooms were quiet and the beds were firm but comfy. It was the perfect place for us to relax after performing all day. The owner was extremely nice and approachable. I told him, my wife and I were coming back for a visit!

Every time we stay here the Shenandoah Inn just gets better. This year we noticed extensive new landscaping, fitness room and guest laundry. Outdoor heaters kept us warm after an evening dip in the beautifully landscaped pool and hot tub (great pressure in every jet). Charcoal and gas grills are available for guests at the poolside picnic area. The rooms are large, immaculately clean, freshly updated, with comfortable beds and sparkling modern bathrooms, and have an unspoiled view of rolling hills and oaks. Very convenient to lots of area wineries. Managers Ken and and Marie and their friendly staff bend over backwards to ensure that our every wish is met, intuitively, often even before we ask.I just can't find words to do the Shenandoah Inn justice. Try it when you're in the area. I guarantee you will be impressed.

We stayed 9/20-9/22 for a wedding. Rooms were ok- clean but outdated. Understaffed during check-in. Our friends found the outer shedding of a crocodile-lizard in their room that the house keeping “missed” per staff. A neighbor complained we were loud at 10:30pm on a Saturday night. Normal volume conversation outside our room, since there is no common space. The woman on staff came out and muttered “F*** you” to us as she walked away. Customer service? I don’t recommend. Pro: The continental breakfast was basic, but nice to have.

This place was great. Spacious rooms, decent view and great staff. The free breakfast was one of the best I've have had. Will be back to experience the wine tasting in the area.

Very clean! Big spacious room. The bed was comfy but like someone else said the pillows aren't comfortable if your a stomach sleeper. I bet if I would have said something Marie would have accommodated us because she was super sweet.

For the price, this place did not meet expectations. Thin walls so we could hear our neighbors conversation and sleep apnea. Shower walls covered in someone's hair. The positives are the view and pet friendly.

I love staying here. Not only do they treat us like family every visit, but they are service dog friendly. It is family owned and operated. And Ken is a Veteran who served in the USMC. Customer service and Hospitality are top notch! Can't wait for our next visit.

We spent 3 days here and it was great. Ken & Marie (the innkeepers) were very accommoodating. The rooms are big and clean. They smell fresh and the furnishings are like new. I would highly recomend this Inn to anybody in the area, we will go back again.

While I hoped to have a beautiful weekend, nothing about this inn lived up to even a basic hotel level. First, it looks like a Motel 6 that was repainted to be an Inn. Everything about it is at the Motel 6 level. Pros-- Close to Murieta Equestrian Center. Ample Parking. Cons--- It is beyond Basic. Our room had huge gaps around the baseboard, so we saw a number of very large critters in our room, including pretty large (6"+) caterpillars. The walls are Motel 6 thin- and you can hear everything. The breakfast was a joke. It was a piece of fresh fruit, and coffee/hot chocolate. The staff was suspicious of everyone. They walked in and didn't ever say hello-- just asked me for my name, and credit card. Not friendly. I came back later to ask if I could take a hot chocolate packet for my daughter back in my room (it was sitting on the counter and I didn't need to ask but did as a courtesy). You would have thought I asked for a diamond-encrusted watch with her look and reply. She agreed begrudgingly. The pool wasn't clean, was really cold, and in poor shape. Despite being a peak weekend at the nearby center, this inn was barely occupied. Very deserted which wasn't ideal for a woman and her small child traveling alone. The area could be more pretty and walkable. 10 mins away is much nicer. It seemed moldy or dusty in corners- but the main surfaces were clean. It is a budget hotel at Inn/resort prices. I wouldn't suggest anyone stay here despite seeing all the positive reviews. I don't know where they stayed but it wasn't at the Shenandoah Inn. Save your $.

Clean rooms, we felt warm and cozy. Hot water for shower or bath. The surrounding hills and trees provide a relaxing environment. Clean water in pool and jacuzzi. Continental breakfast is delicious. Boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, variety of breads and spreads, OJ, milk, coffee.

My interaction with Ken, the manager of the Shenandoah Inn, was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in my life.In the first week of November 2017, my then fiancée and I booked a winery in Plymouth for our wedding on 09/15/18. While we were looking for accommodations, we came across the Shenandoah Inn and contacted Ken, the manager. We chatted on the phone for the while, shared some good conversation and I learned about his background in law enforcement as I also work in public safety. He informed us that there was a barbera festival that day, so he already expected many visitors that day which is totally understandable, but there were other weekends available. He stated we could get the entire hotel booked (about 44 rooms) for with a AAA discount at a reasonable rate for 1 night with no deposit on the rooms. This sounded perfect as we were planning on having a large group for our wedding at the nearby winery. This was at the early stages of our wedding process, so we were considering changing the date of our wedding in order to have the majority of our accommodations covered. Ken confirmed that September 29th, 2018 was open (although his computer did not allow him to make reservations yet greater than 10 months out), and told us to call back in two weeks on 11/29/17. I was slightly hesitant to change the date of our wedding, but the thought of allowing all our guests to be under one roof was reason enough to do so. We pulled the trigger, moved the wedding date back and trusted Ken to follow through with his word.I called him back at the date he instructed me to do so, on the minute the hotel opened and informed him of the reason I was calling and his terms of our stay. He appeared surprised by the phone call, and when I asked him directly if he was going to honor what he told me, he said “yeah, that’s not going to happen.” I could not believe it. I was beyond frustrated, but kept my cool on the phone. He would not back down, and we “compromised” on ten rooms (5 queen and 5 king), 2 night minimum, full price (this part I’m not 100% on, but I believe it was 169 for 2 queens and 179 for 1 king- may be vice versa) paid upfront. He told me the bill and I was hesitant but agreed. I asked him for a receipt, he texted me a picture of the printout and my card was charged for $1,924.90, more than the price he discussed with me. I called back 5 min after the reservation and he said the price he told me about didn’t include tax, I know this may be silly but I had had enough at this point and said, “you know what, just cancel all the rooms”, which he promptly did. I did not want any of my guests to give this establishment any money.Instead, we reserved 2 large shuttles to transport people to and from Sacramento, closer to the majority of our guests’ homes.I never write negative reviews, but I feel like this story needed to be shared. We still had a wonderful wedding, the guests had a blast, and it was everything we could have wanted.

We didn't end up staying here.. we had to cancel last minute, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating to us. They provide a military discount and are only 45 minutes away from Kirkwood. A much more affordable place to stay if spending the weekend on the slopes!

Great place to stay. The staff was friendly and super helpful. There isn't a whole lot around in terms of entertainment unless you count the wineries but definitely a place to be if you want a relaxing weekend
