Great little local pet store with a self service pet wash. Good selection of raw food and kibble. This pet store does have the buy 3 get 1 free deal on most items. I do this for the pet wash!The pet wash has a variety of soaps and conditioners, towels and a blow dry function.

Very friendly and helpful customer service. The store is always clean and well organized. Shelves are always well stocked. They have self-serve dog bathing tubs and for the price, they provide a selection of soaps, towels, and air dryer. Like most pet supply stores, prices are on the high side, but they provide an excellent and quite diverse selection of foods and accessories for dogs and cats (I'm not sure about fish or other small animals). You may place an order by phone and online for pickup or delivery (delivered orders are filled and dispatched from Fremont). The delivery service has so far been excellent and timely (same day, but subject to the time you place your order). For every three items of the same kind that you buy, Pet Food Express gives you a fourth for free. This 4-for-3 does not apply to delivered orders, only to items purchased in-store. Overall, visiting Pet Food Express stores is a pleasant experience ... my pooch loves going to the Pleasanton store.

This place was recommended by the Dublin SPCA and I see why. Very friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. A great variety of products for every budget. They also provided us with additional resources to care for our new puppy. We'll definitely be back for our pet needs as he continues to develop.

The service here was excellent. Our dog is very sick and has a prescribed food and we ran out and went to the store, which they kept it open past their closing time. Not only that, but because they knew that my dog was really sick and in his final days, they gave us his prescribed food "on the house". The way these people treated us was way above and beyond what's expected, and I hope they realize how much that meant to our family.

Staff is very helpful and will carry out and load all your products. They offer great discounts for all products. 4 for the price of 3. Any size of bag food. Every Tuesday they have a nail clipping service, expensive but necessary for your dogs.

Have taken our dogs for years here for baths. Today soap dispenser was empty. When asking if it could be refilled for the dogs bath, “no” was the response. This of course after I had paid. Will think twice about going back.

I meant to write this review several weeks ago (July, 2014), when I was there, but the time got away from me.The customer service at this store is outstanding. I was in a rush, and a sudden need for a large quantity of cat litter -- more than I could carry. Not only did the courteous and friendly staff direct me to it immediately, a young man (I think his name was Tony) helped me carry it all to my car. This may not sound like an exceptional level of customer service until I mention that I had actually parked quite a distance away from the store -- in fact, across nearby Amador Park. Tony was cheerful throughout the long slog across the park, and made me feel well-taken care of!

Love their deals. Buy 3 get 1 free. Everything in store is gauranteed so if your animal doesn't like it you can bring it back and get a full refund. The only drawback is that their cat department can feel a little light for all of my needs so so still have to shop elsewhere for a few items sometimes.

Pet Food Express is a great little chain of pet supply stores. Their prices are about as good as you'll find, particularly with their 4-for-the-price-of-3 can policy. The staff is always friendly and helpful. For some reason, though, I can't help suspecting that they're actually cats and dogs dressed up in people costumes. They just seem to identify a little too much with their target audience. So far, though, no one has tried to lick my hand or nuzzle up to me. But it wouldn't really surprise me if they did one day.

This store in pleasanton is the worst!! I walked into the store and about 5 workers greeted me hi, then huddled and returned to talking with eachother. I was walking through the store for a few mins b/c i was looking for a specific item and couldnt find it. ABSOLUTELY none of the five workers huddled together offered any help!!! They acted like i didnt exist! Ive been to other petfood express castro valley, oakland etc and the people in these locations are sooo much friendlier and helpful.

The staff is knowledgeable and most know exactly what they stock, so if you need a quick answer, ask! They are friendly and super helpful. If they are out of something, you can give them your number and tell them how much you need and they'll set it aside for you. I come here regularly for pet food.

I am super impressed by the level of service at this Pet Food Express. At first it was a bit overwhelming how many times people asked me if I needed help. Finally I decided to give in and said yes please. I explained to the gentleman that Isabel and Oliver seem to be suffering with allergies more than usual and Isabel's weight is up. He not only recommended a food, explained why, carried to to the till and wrote on the back of the receipt why it will help. The elements to avoid and if I don't see a difference I can bring it back in 30 days to try something new. Order of things to avoid #1 Chicken # Corn #3 wheat #4 by-product

Seriously, if you can get your pet goods here (i.e. specific brands), do it. Their prices either match or barely any more than your typical nation wide chain store (Petco, Petsmart..), yet they are a more "local" place.Enough about the business, this location has such a helpful and friendly staff. We've been a ton of times since moving here and every time the staff will greet you but not be too nosey. They are there because they care about you and your companions. This is definitely why I keep returning.

Great pet store and staff. They have a nice pet wash in the back, but you can wash for less at Petco Unleashed. The best part is the "buy 3 and get 1 for free" deal.

We bring our dogs there for bath every two weeks. Folks are very friendly and helpful. They provide additional towels and treats right at the wash place.
