A local small engine repair shop who recently went out of business referred me to True Value Missouri Flat Rd. to repair my lawn mower. The staff in Service was very personable, helpful and kept me informed on the repair of my Honda self-propelled mower. The mower had been gradually running rough where another shop did not fully address. The mower now runs very smooth with instant start on one pull.True Value pricing is very competitive, and the excellent customer service was refreshing. The full service package cost less than other local mower repair shops as well.

I rented one of their carpet cleaners and am very happy with the results. The machine is relatively small. Small enough that I, a 71 yr old senior, was able to unload it and load it back into my car without hurting myself. I was also able to operate it without issues. The best part - $25 for 24 hours! Can't beat that.

This true value has the most incredible customer service. We had an issue with a lawn mower we bought there and the owner and the guys in the shop went above and beyond to help us out. Absolutely amazing. Not to mention the fact that they carry tree work/climbing gear. Thank you!

This place is great. They have most anything you may need for mountain living. Open early, the staff is very knowledgeable the selection is wide. They have an extensive section of tree working equipment, one of the best I have seen in the whole eastern side of the state.

Each time I shop there I am greeted by name and 3 or 4 employees ask if they can help me with anything. Love the customer service! I will always prefer the experienced opinion of folks who know what they're talking about to walking into a big box store and having to hunt for things on my own and hope I got it right.The store has some of anything I could need and if hardware wasn't enough, you could easily walk out having purchased a John Deere tractor implement (it's happened...).Thanks for being close to home and having the things I needed!

So glad this smaller location is here. They may be small in size but they are big in service! Excellent customer service and just enough in their on-site inventory to help with almost any project. They also will refill propane tanks on site!

This is an excellent hardware store, with friendly helpful people and a good place to shop.It is not a good place to have lawn equipment repaired. I purchased a John Deer mower from Home Depot that has been set up by True Value and for the first year struggled starting it. I eventually discovered that the battery was undersized and the terminals had never been properly tightened.Last summer it took five weeks to get a drive belt replaced, and it cost a lot more money than I’d ever have guessed. The mower broke down yesterday and again, it’s four weeks before they can look at it. I contacted Sears Home Service this morning. They came this afternoon and fixed the mower at a very reasonable price. Admittedly, the same day service was a lucky fluke but the moral of the story is that you don’t have to be stuck in lawn mower purgatory for a month. Call Sears.

Great Store!I’m new to the area and had to buy landscaping power equipment. Their Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They also have a very good reputation for servicing the equipment you buy from them as well! I also used their rental dept. I needed a “Log Splitter”...it was in great shape and rental process was a breeze! I will definitely be a long time customer!

I've been coming to True Value with my Grandpa and My Family since I was a little girl. I love the fact of the basis of The old True Value is still the same. The people who work there actually enjoy their job and have a true passion for What True Value stands for. They are always courteous , respective , helpful, informative . I always know if I need answers especially about things from the 50 , 60 , 70 , 80 's , ECT ., They are ones to help , if not they send you to Placerville Hardware Store , Downtown Placerville , or Home Depot for newer or comparable parts. I bought a stihl chainsaw here yesterday at a great price. They even filled it with gas and oil and started it to make sure everything was okay. After using it for the day, I talked to the service manager and told him how happy I was. He was extremely helpful with maintenance tips!

I have always had good, friendly service from the employees here. The store has had everything I have looked for. When I was trying to match paint to the color of a plastic shampoo bottle because that was the exact shade I wanted, the gentleman helping me was professional and patient. I was so delighted with our results I called to let him know just how perfect it was. For more than 20 years, I have been pleased to call True Value on Mo. Flat Rd. my favorite hardware store.

I went in today looking for special bolts and lock nuts. Most of the employees normally offer help without asking. This time, things were different. I asked one man for help, showed him the type of bolt I needed and asked him if they had it. He looked at it, said "yes" and turned around. Within a couple of minutes a young girl shows up at the same hardware aisle. Well, this time an elder guy quickly shows up and starts offering help. He was at least 10 minutes answering all her questions. Another elder guy shows up and stands by the girl and starts offering more help. I just looked at the three of them and said to myself: "Next time I will be wearing a skirt".

If your looking for a new John Deere tractor this is the place in Northern California to buy it. Don is the man to see. He will take great care of you. Lots of little things that add up like filling the rear tires with Rim Guard and free delivery and full tank of gas ( dont forget the hat) He made the process effortless and made me feel like a valued customer. This is the last independent dealer left in Northern CA. Glad I drove to Placerville and you will be also.

Loved this store. Bought lot of stuff with great service and very helpful staff. Unfortunately went there today and no staff were wearing masks. Guess they don't care about my health or Public Health guidelines. We all need to do things we don't like or agree with for the collective good i.e. traffic laws.

I 5hink this s5ore is great. At least they have AA batteries. I was at Walmart the other day and I couldn't find the batteries for my flashlight and no one knew where they were.
