Great food, great people, great location! They carry wonderful premade food that I can take home and easily heat up and they make great hot food too. They have yummy specials for breakfast, lunch and dinner that I crave. Not to mention the best homemade cookies! I’ve loved everything I’ve eaten from here. And they carry great gluten free options and organic and natural food choices. The owners really care about the quality of the ingredients and the products and are always there making sure everything is running smoothly. It’s got a classic Placerville charm with both indoor and outdoor seating and is even dog friendly!

This is my favorite place to spend my weekends eating brunch and drinking mimosas (they also have local beer and wines)The fensed in front yard has picnic table seating and is a great area for kids and dogs to run around safely...Yes, this place is dog friendly.The atmosphere herr makes me feel at home and you can't find the food they serve here anywhere else...*Homemade soups that change daily*Homemade salsas that are made fresh weekly*Smoked cheeses- Cheader, Pepper Jack, Colby Jack, and Monterey Jack*Empanadas*Samosas*Gyros*Flatbread pizzasAnd much much more...Come in and check out one of my favorite spots to come as a local.

This is one of my favorite places to go to in Placerville. Their menu is so diverse, and has offerings that you don't find in any surrounding establishments. The food is delicious. The owners are delightful company. The chef is so passionate about what he does, and it really shows. Great beer and wine selection. I could spend hours in this place, it has such a unique, comfy ambiance.Vegetarian options: They have so many vegetarian and vegan options!

Came here for memorial day lunch. A really cozy restaurant with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I enjoyed my gyro so much I had to get a second one! The meat was yummy, great flavor and the veggies were nice and crisp. The cider on tap was really good too. A great place to have lunch and relax before shopping around town!

Came here for lunch and we’re so happy we did. We had soup and empanadas with beans and rice. Everything was extremely delicious, super high quality. They have a great selection of beer and wine too. And they are dog friendly (and absolutely love pups). Finally, the owners are lovely - we enjoyed chatting with them. Highly recommend!

Excellent experience today in Placerville! My husband and I came with our baby to have lunch before hitting the Apple orchards. The owners were so awesome and the food was delicious!We ordered the chicken tacos and pesto flat bread. Sooo good! 🙏🏼🙏🏼😃Also the cornbread and homemade salsa was on point 🔥We will definitely be back. Highly recommended The Market on Main!!! Will definitely be back next time we are in town.

The gyro, empanadas, Spanish rice and beans and house made sauces are AH-MA-ZING! I wish we had stocked up on more empanadas for the rest of our roadtrip! They also have a mini market and grab-n-go cooler with fresh salads, and drinks etc. Definitely recommend checking it out

Cute little spot on main Street! Really love the chimichuri sauce that come with the empanadas. The owner/chef is really passionate about food and spices. They also sell charcuterie boards and local wines. Delicious food, will definitely be back!

I was visiting family from out of town and wanted something good to eat. I seen the reviews on Yelp for The Market on Main and had to try it for myself. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of their food. I ordered the Tuesday special, 2 Carnitas tostdas side of rice and beans with my choice of an ice cold draft for a fair price. This is exactly what main street needed. I love the atmosphere and Charissa provided friendly service. If you're in the area I would highly recommend swinging by to grab a bite. They also offer champagne and wine by the bottle along with pre-made meals to go. Betty's famous fudge is a must try!

I recently visited The Market on Main and was blown away by the incredible food and friendly service. The empanada was a standout for me - it was so fresh and tasty that I had to ask the owner/chef about it. It turns out that it's an Argentinian empanada, which is different from any other I've had in the past. The dough is more like a pizza crust and it was simply amazing. The filling was perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor.Another dish that I really enjoyed was the caprese. The sauce was delicious and extremely healthy, which is always a plus. I loved the combination of fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil - it was the perfect light and refreshing dish.The owner/chef was incredibly friendly and passionate about his food, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere inside The Market on Main is cozy and inviting, and it's clear that they take pride in sourcing the best ingredients.Overall, I would highly recommend The Market on Main to anyone looking for delicious, unique dishes in Placerville. The empanada is a must-try, but everything on the menu is delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Don't miss out on this gem of a restaurant!

BF and I stopped on our way back from a weekend in Tahoe. I cannot emphasize enough how delicious this was! We had the gyro and a mushroom empanada, with some grab & go drinks and also purchased some fudge to go. I LOVE the refrigerated case for picnic items. The food was hot, fresh, and the pastry for the empanada is unreal. The chimichurri sauce is amazing as well. I WILL be back and would LOVE to do office lunches with empanadas from now on!

You’ve got to check this place out! Delicious, perfectly portioned, and appropriately priced small bites for the foodie’s appetite. Great selection of local beer and wines from El Dorado County. You could build the perfect picnic basket in one sweep. New favorite spot downtown to grab a bite or a dinner party gift to-go.
