Excited about a brand new target in Placerville where the old Kmart used to be. This store offers everything you would expect target to have. And it’s shiny and new so everything is very clean and organized. I found everything I needed for my shopping trip today and then was checking out. I was about to get five stars until the checkout process failed. I was buying a gift card for someone and had several checkers all gathered around trying to figure out how to do it. The manager finally came over and asked me to move to a different line. They again were having problems and he said for my trouble he would give me 10% off. When they were done ringing up my order, which was over $300, the checker asked how to give a discount. The manager then I just got off five dollars. I’m not sure what kind of math that is but it certainly did not equal 10%. Will be nice when they get their act together. I had to park way out in the parking lot and when I was done unloading my car I had to take it all the way back to the store because the card returns are in about the third parking spot from the doorway. Those should be moved out until the middle of the parking lot so you don’t have to walk all the way back to the store. It’s a typical target, but the customer service needs some help. I may continue to shop in El Dorado Hills.

I love the large selection of products that they have. All of the workers there are really nice and smiling so you feel good. They don't always know where the product that you might be looking for is. They will try to help you find it though. There are plenty of places to grab hand sanitizer. They sanitize the carts and self cashiers. So you shouldn't worry about that. This target is new so the carts aren't broken. The holiday section is always being updated. You can find just about any decoration you want there. They have plenty of candy brands, so if you want to have some candy or for a project that would be a great place to go to. They have a great selection a sizes for clothing. The return policy is nice and very quick. The restrooms are in the back, near the beauty supply. I have not been inside of their restrooms but from what I have heard from my friends the restrooms are clean. I recommend to everyone!

I love Target in general but not comfortable giving all 5 stars. Be aware this is a small store. They have a little bit of everything but missing a lot. I think they need to get to know their shoppers and stock accordingly. I love Target Circle and try to come get deals. The lay out is a little weird so I wish it was easier. Haven't been to the Walmart much since target opened.

The people complaining about this Target are those hard to please babies that just want to complain. It is a smaller Target (Placerville is a smaller town), but they had a great selection for what they can during covid. With how the world is right now it's not as easy to get products. Look at Wal-Mart for example. Plenty of empty isles.For a vegetarian it was great. There was a good amount of vegan lunches on the go. I really liked their grocery section as a whole.There were some lines. I'll admit a little messy, but I feel that way everywhere. The cashier was so sweet and helpful.The parking lot is pretty bad, but I don't blame Target for that. The lot is shared so they don't have any say on how it's designed.

I love this store so much, they have such a wide variety of things at an affordable cost. They don't always have a large selection of meats and produce but all is well. The only thing that I would warn to customers is that time and time again their produce has gone bad, in particular the onions and garlic which often have large sprouts in them or their potatoes which often have started to go green. Please keep an eye out when you are buying the produce to make sure you're getting something that is still at it's peak, but other than that it is a great store.

Okay just went in after reading all these reviews... it fantastic!! Yes the shelves aren’t fully stocked but they opened during Covid where most places aren’t able to stay stocked. This store is beautiful and modern and had a pretty much anything you could need, including a decent liquor section. No it’s not the biggest target out there but if you’ve been to any target in a large city (ie:San Fran or Portland) this store is sufficient !

Wow. Just, absolutely, hands down the best Target store within 100 miles. All due to Isaiah and his 150% service attitude and his undying, willingness to help. Well done Target. The only reason I still spend $15K a year here is because of young folks like Mr. Isaiah, so eager, so positive, at the Placerville, CA store. Well done management. Well, freaking done. A+++

We visited this Target for the first time while on vacation. It was beautiful and new and well stocked. The only issue was that while they have a sign out front requiring all who enter to wear a mask, many people were not. I am not sure if this is part of the larger political climate in Placerville, but we are all in this together and have to protect each other.

Very disappointed! I do not recommend! This is some sort of "mini Target" or something! Many of the shelves were completely empty! The store was setup quite poorly. Every line was blocking the walkway even though there were only a few people in each line. I had a small list of items to purchase. However, those items weren't available or stocked. I regularly purchase my list of items at the other Target location (about a 10-15 minute drive from this location) without any issues.The staff was poorly trained and not helpful. I will not go to this location again! I will continue to go to the El Dorado Hills location!

I, like so many others, was so excited to have a target move into placerville, in the former Kmart building. However, I hardly shop here, and still often go to El Dorado Hills or Folsom to shop at target.Don't get me wrong, this store is clean and pretty and all that, it's just way too small!! They often don't have the things I am looking for, or have seen online. It's ok for some stuff, it just feels like they shrunk all the departments, and just chose a few items to stock each dept.Also disappointing that they didn't build in the snack counter because I love those personal pizza hut pizzas that some targets serve, though I heard they are kind of phasing those out from most locations 😢I will say the customer service here is better than a lot of other locations I have been to. The staff is usually smiling and happy to help when needed.

People may think the store is automatically bad because its a smaller scale of, for example, the El Dorado Hills store but I think it’s cute! The staff are all lovely and patient. Them being new is actually a good thing because they are just starting out and still have that positive attitude! I Hope they continue to adapt to concerns and keep up the good work!

Actually really happy you’re here, however... there were 3 women in the store with no masks. I’m a local caregiver, and this is exactly why I stopped going to Walmart. Now I don’t feel safe going to Target too. More than one employee saw them, didn’t say anything.

I went to this new Target recently and contrary to the one-star reviews, I thought this Target felt pretty big, but perhaps it’s the layout that makes it feel that way. Regardless, I found all of the essentials and then some, that I needed. I intentionally wanted to wait several days after the opening to avoid the herd. If all you are used to is shopping at those super-sized stores with nothing but junk products and zoned-out employees just waiting for their retirement, and have no compassion for new stores and staff needing to work out the kinks, then this Target is not for you. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, don’t take it out on the employees - please have some patience and understanding. Have you heard of a place called Amazon.com? Google it. Overall, I’m happy that this Target is here and I hope the one-star reviewers will not deter others to shop here.

It is such a nice store, the workers and everyone are nice, I love having one in Placerville so I don’t have to go to El Dorado Hills or Folsom so convenient!!!! 😊
