Located in a cute, pink Victorian house, this breakfast spot is perfect if you're looking to fill up. Come hungry - the portions are big! I tried the cheese blintz and it was absolutely divine! Pancakes are huge and we heard good things about the French Toast as well. Staff was friendly even though they were quite busy; we had to wait about 15 minutes on a Saturday morning. There is self-serve coffee to drink while you wait which was a nice touch.

The Placerville restaurant is pretty good but shows it’s age with faded paint and unkempt restrooms. Took awhile to get water to our patio table on a warm September afternoon. Food arrived quickly and was adequate. Several very close by restaurants I’d like to try and I should have done so today instead of Sweetie Pie’s.

A Placerville institution, is Sweetie Pies. This cute spot occupies a large Victorian on busy Main St. Your fun meal begins when you walk in the door and a friendly server asks if you would like a mug for coffee: it is self-serve.You will be guided to one of several clean, attractively decorated rooms to be seated. Their large menu has many familiar breakfast and lunch items plus a few surprises. This busy restaurant has many people show up just for their wonderful pastries, especially their cinnamon rolls, and some enjoy them on their outside patio.Oh! And did I mention outstanding pie?

This is our first time. Food is great. I like the atmosphere as well. However, servers are not friendly. They choose people to say hi to (maybe because we are the only Asian people there).Upon checking in, they immediately give you 2 small cups for coffee or other hot beverages but the label that says “Swiss chocolate” is not what it is and when you ask them, they just say they get the same complaints from other people. And we did not know that you have to pay $3.50 per cup. I didn’t even get to enjoy my hot beverage.

We stopped by on our way to Apple Hill. Sat outdoors on a very pleasant fall day. We were served immediately and pleasantly, and the portions were significant. My wife and I split the fish and chips and it was more than enough. The salad was delicious.Very relaxing environment. Highly recommend

It's a vegan option for sure! I wasn't able to see any pictures online so I thought it would be helpful if I posted. It comes with the option of country potatoes or hash browns, I chose country potatoes. They offered several toast options to accompany but none of the breads they make in house are vegan and they didn't know or care to look to see if the sourdough or English muffins they get from other sources were vegan, so I opted out of the toast. I added some smoked sea salt to mine but I'm pregnant and seem to be adding a little salt onto everything lately so I can't be too sure it wasn't already seasoned properly beforehand. There were a lot of veggies added in, including tomatoes and I love that. Overall good option, they have a bunch of coffee options inside and the other food I saw coming out of the window looked great. Quick service, I called ahead and got there in 7 minutes and didn't have to wait at all. Hot and fresh, potatoes were cooked just how I like them, some with some crisp, some nice and steamy. Plate was big enough for 2 adults. My 4 kids and I shared it, and they loved it. Total was $14.02 out the door. Not bad!

Had to stop for breakfast before heading up to South Lake Tahoe for the day. And, my husband and I were very pleased to have found this cute little spot. When you walk in there's a self serve coffee bar with a variety of flavors. The service was great and friendly. We were pleased to see on the menu a scramble section because we never see that at all. I ordered the Veggie Scramble w/ a side of Healthnut Pancakes. My husband ordered the Denver Scramble w/ a side of homemade toast. Our breakfast was delicious!! Definitely making this our morning stop before heading up to Tahoe each time...😁

This place has the best breakfast and the best servers. i really enjoy having breakfast here but the only con is the waiting time specially on a weekend and the place is very small so you don’t have any personal space also i wish their restroom was clean.I haven’t had a good experience with the restroom, they just have one restroom which everyone wants to use so again the wait time.It doesn’t have diaper changing station which is a minus for me and also the restroom doesn’t have enough lights which is also strange to me but of of course they beat everyone else in one game that is taste of their food.

First time here and it was a Sunday. They had a hard time keeping up with the customers. Our waitress was nice and friendly. The food was good. My son enjoyed his blueberry pancakes and side of scrambled eggs. My wife and I had the Veggie Omelette. The omelette was good but the country potatoes were okay at best. Not much flavor. Prices were reasonable. Nice assortment of baked goods.

First timer here. Food was great and the place is a very homey feeling spot for lunch. Friendly staff and good service. The coffee bar is a great concept and the Irish cream coffee was killer! Small place and pretty crowded. Felt bad for the tables they stuck in the waiting area, as they basically have to eat with people's butts in their face the whole time. Seems like it would be better to just have two less tables and a decent entry space.

Excellent breakfast. My husband and I shared an omelet for a $2 additional "share price" which is very reasonable. The omelet was a 4 egg omelet and was sooo good. It came with choice of bread and potatoes. We also ordered a pancake and bacon on the side and everything was sooo good. Customer service was excellent and friendly. We highly recommend.

I love Sweetie Pies especially for breakfast. I prefer the breakfast over the lunch. They also have great bakery items like muffins and scones and cinnamon rolls fresh baked bread yeah you should definitely try sweetie piesWheelchair accessibility: They do have a ramp which makes it easy for people with mobility issues who use a walker or wheelchair. it's a long 2 tier ramp but it's not real steep.

Great breakfast and lunch spot! They have plenty of options including vegan options and everything tasted great. The staff was very friendly. Lots of seats but can still fill up quickly with how popular they are!

Went here on an early Monday morning. Very empty, so service was fast. Liked the quiche and eggs Benedict, but the real winner was the side of cinnamon walnut bread. So so good. You will not regret that choice. Coffee was pretty good as well. The hash browns were not good though.Restrooms were clean. Parking is just a block away, and the first two hours are free. Worth stopping in!

Perfect old-fashioned building for Breakfast and Lunch! Sweet like it's name 🥧 We went on a Sunday morning which they only serve breakfast all day. We got the French toast and the Cheese Blintz with the oallieberries which was delicious and their syrup was tasty as well 😋

I always hear rave reviews about this place and recently needed some sweets for the office to celebrate a birthday. They didn’t have many pies out yet, so I grabbed a few sticky buns. Wow. They were huge and very dense and amazing. The rolls were a huge hit and there was plenty to share. They even gave me a candle so I didn’t have to run to the store. Awesome. Can’t wait to go back and try some other treats. Interested in what gluten free options they have as well.

I absolutely LOVE this place!!! They have such amazing food, coffee and atmosphere. I highly recommend their quiche. It changes daily, one meat and one veggie option. I’ve had both depending on what’s in it, and it’s ALWAYS amazing. Light, fluffy, with a fantastic crust. Their ollaleberry pancakes are also fabulous. Just a great place to eat, and im so happy it’s right here in Placerville!!

I wanted to give this place five stars but the food in terms of taste, quality, and overall depth of the menu just didn't live up to expectations. The ambience in a restored Victorian with a covered patio was fantastic and reminiscent of the South. Service was great especially for a busy Sunday Father's Day morning. However the food was just meh as I had the special smoked turkey and asparagus omelette which seemed like it was made from liquid egg product, came out luke warm, and country potatoes were a little overdone. Food just wasn't elevated to that next level that I expected based on reviews and personal recommendations. I look forward to trying other options on the menu in the future.

Lovely local cafe with good food and super nice staff. The coffee is good so is the cinnamon bread. The health nut pancakes were perfect. The veggie omelette was a bit zucchini heavy though. Lovely place We’ll definitely return

There was a line for a table. It was kinda slow since COVID 19 happened. The service was good not great but just good. Everything was a little too slow, but the food makes up for it. I enjoy the eggs Benedict. Very tasty and the ham is juicy and tender. This is a great place for breakfast food. They serve breakfast food everyday, but for Sunday they serve it all day with no lunch menu. If you want to try the lunch make sure to go on weekdays plus Saturday. The pricing is not bad, but it is also not cheap either. I do recommend coming here if you are craving breakfast food.

My first time there last week and I highly recommend them! Excellent food and service! They make all their breads and foods from scratch and it shows. My favorite part was walking in and finding they also served Mimosas!

Had breakfast at 8:30 on a October Friday on our way to Apple Hill. Not too crowded. Cozy tables. Be careful crossing the street. It can be busy.

Today wasn't their A game. I've been here when the food was stellar. Maybe they were just too busy and crowded. The biscuits and gravy were good and my mom liked the French toast. The pancakes were ok and my daughter wasn't thrilled about the oatmeal. I think today was just an off day for them. It's still worth stopping in whenever you're in the area.
