This place used to be cool and affordable. Now i see stuff literally bought at family dollar maked up to 3.00 last time i went i grabbed 2 shirts from the kids section marked at 2.99 and for an 8 year old and they said they weresupposed to be in the adult section and wanted 5.99 each.. For a kids size 10-12. They have cheap dressers for like 300.00 and all the semi nice stuff in now put into the boutique section and marked way up. Mean while all the stuff is donated.. Sad.

Used to be a favorite but the prices have gotten beyond outrageous here lately. Recent examples: a broken table with plastic drawer pulls some of which were missing for $800, a "vintage" leafed dining table that will need restoration work for $1000, newer things with the original tags still on them and the thrift tag is the same or more expensive than the original price, empty VHS boxes for $5+, hutches with the top and the bottom priced separately each labelled with $500 tags, etc. We love shopping here and supporting the cause and we do find a lot of treasures, but I just do not know what's up with their prices recently. You really have to search to make it worth it now.

Such a great place to find hidden gems. Over the years, I found tons of vases, picture frames, and votives for bridal shower and wedding. I always check the book section. JP was super friendly and helpful the last time I was there. Helped me find the perfect picnic basket for my daughter’s birthday party.

Over the years, I have found unique, one of a kind upholstered chairs, side tables, dressers, dining sets and art. JP is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the store's inventory. I have described to JP what I am needing and he continuedly delivers on exactly what I am looking for. Thank you JP!

I have been shopping at this thrift store since I was a kid, it remains one of the best. The staff is wonderful & always friendly. The selection of merchandise is amazing and it is always well stocked & organized. Their prices are extremely fair and usually better than other thrift stores nowadays. They have a fantastic book section too.

Used to be good, I do not know who is in charge of the pricing but 35 dollars for junk like a 25 year old camera and 40 dollars for a vase is ridiculous. Prices are more similar to a antique store for not-so-high quality used items. Before whoever turned it into a stupid "boutique" type of vibe it was actually a great store.

Great stuff at great prices! I love this place. They have awesome stuff. I like to grab a coffee and just browse. If you’re in the area definitely stop by

One of the best thrift stores around! Can always find something interesting or cool. The vintage selection is good, and I often times can find clothes for costuming for a cheap price. Staff is friendly and helpful, and are great with donations.Haven't noticed a price raise like some have stated, but maybe I'm shopping differently. The glassware and board games are always a steal. Plus the vinyl records are unbelievable! Highly recommend, nice store.

Not only are the prices outright shameful (there were items being sold with as new prices. Even when they were chipped, damaged, missing parts, or worn), the employees had a dog on the counter directly at the register space. I love animals. I adore them more than people. The issue wasn't that the dog was there, the issue was when I asked politely if I could pet the dog the employees informed me that he was AGGRESSIVE AND BITES!!! The man tried to brush it off saying that because he is a smaller dog his bites aren't bad, so it wasn't a big deal. The woman informed me that he bit her for just walking up to him. It is horrible to have an aggressive, poorly socialized animal directly sitting in the space where my hands go to pay for my items. With the disgusting price hikes I won't be coming back again, but knowing that the employees are risking my safety with having an aggressive dog in biting range of the register (he was half sitting under it) I will absolutely make sure to tell EVERYONE I know to avoid this location from now on.

I found several things there yesterday used. I could have bought NEW at 99cent store they were $3. & $4. dollars at Snowline Hospice Thrift ?Who's pricing?? They're outrageous! HOW About doing research before you price things. I believe you could turn your stock over much faster!

I used to love coming here when I first moved here in 2020 and now my experience shopping here has compelled gone downhill . They have now raised the prices on everything and opened up their “boutique” which includes overpriced items and a lot of the “good” stuff, that they are trying to keep away from everyone because they are making all those things exclusive by overpricing things for more than they are worth . They raised the prices in everything and have specially priced items now , I saw some golf clubs that they had marked for $35 when in reality they are only worth $20 . They definitely bring shame to what a thrift store is supposed to be . Snowline is supposed to be helping older veterans and the elderly but I don’t want to support a place that has become inaccessible to people who rely on thrifting for clothes and etc . They also took away their point system which tracked your purchases and gave you pinned that you could use for a discount, that was such a huge bummer because it set them apart from other thrift store . I highly suggest going to goodwill down the street for way better deals and finds . Avoid this crusty place at all costs

Edit: this is a very mundane second hand store, with very high prices (like most thrift stores now a days -after covid). If you are in need -you will find no deal here, clothes prices are comparable (priced & quality) to Walmart, same with dishes or other needs.Old post: Used to be an excellent store but now, ehh they have nothing cool or vintage much anymore and man they are OVER PRICED!

Your prices are absolutely insanely high lately. I looked at picking up a used camera tripod and your price tag was $35! That is criminal pricing! You can buy much better, new quality tripods online for $20!

This is the best thrift store I have been to since moving to California. Lesa was so kind by helping me find all the sheets and dishes I needed to stock out our new camper. I love coming here. They always have such a good selection, and the prices are great! The staff is always super helpful and friendly. Their jewelry selection always has something interesting to check out. I can't wait to go back and visit this store again.

Love this location of snowline thrift. It's huge, and I think they send all, or most, of the furniture here. you can find some great pieces at great prices if you are patient. They have different sales here all the time. That's when their already decent prices become great deals. Idk if they are still doing it, but the last time I came here, they had an additional 25% discount on everything in the last hour they are open.

After a very disturbing experience today I don’t know if I can come back to the store. They have lots of cool items but so over priced It’s ridiculous when you can go to target at Walmart and buy something brand-new for cheaper. I want to help by shopping and donating to the hospice care. But it’s hard when they refuse to make a deal with you. I was short one dollar today. I couldn’t find my debit card. They wouldn’t accept my offer of a dollar less. I guess they really want to help those in need…. They are greedy selfish and entitled. Instead of getting rid of items… they took that item back and put it back on the shelf over one dollar. It was an 8track holder. Good luck. Not to mention I’ve been coming here for YEARS. I’ve probably spent 1000’s of dollars here. I think there is new management, and it’s time to start selling things for THRIFT prices. Or just learn how to negotiate for a good cause.

This has been my go to store for all my donations. There is a wide variety of items here as it is a larger store. It's always a fast and smooth process so I can spend most of the time I'm there buying more stuff! It's the kind of place you can feel good about where your money is going. They are exceptional with their quality of service and items within the store. Next time you are in the area be sure to stop by!

Moved here the end of January 2020 and soon discovered the only thing good about this year is discovering Snowline Thrift. But you better be quick, and scout frequently or you will miss quality furniture, and vintage items that seem to fly out the door, at really reasonable prices. Spent many a hour here , and have nearly furnished my new home with some beautiful pieces. The staff is helpful and pleasant♥️Supporting hospice is so important . When caring for my terminally ill mother, the extra hands and kind heart of the nurse who assisted meant everything to us. Bless them all for their hard work and devotion.

I have shopped at Snowline Hospice on several occasions, and been fortunate enough to have a wonderful experience each time. I have yet to find a thrift store with better prices for clothing, books, and furniture. The staff is receptive and courteous, and with a great location literally right off the freeway provides an excellent service for the community.

A fun store where you can sort through thousands of pre-owned treasures. The location is pretty easy to access off the highway, and the building is very large so plenty of space on the inside to shop. Most items are priced reasonably and aren't still in very good or like new condition.

I've been to all the hospices and goodwill in this area as I do a lot of crafts and clothes modifications. I will say the one on el dorado road is the worst of type store in the area. There is a curt, rude woman with frizzy black hair that works there that I will return specifically because of her. Also there are no dressing rooms ALL of the other stores have fitting rooms and legal bathrooms. She screeched at me that there are no fitting rooms. She doesn't have a polite bone in her body. No handicap bathroom. If ALL the others have this I'm sure they can too.

I love this thrift store. I found a bunch of good albums, a cat carrier, a backgammon game, a large mixing bowl and some DVDs. Always lots of cool stuff to pick from with fantastic prices. Helpful and friendly staff. You never know what you will find! Senior discount too! WOOT!

Snowline in Hospice store is easy access from Highway 80 after you leave Placerville going east… We live pretty local so I go very often as much as I can because I don’t want to miss any good things and once I go in the door there’s a gal name Debbie people call her Deb and she will greet you every time she is one of the reasons I go there is to see her…You’ll find all kinds of neat things here and every day is a new experience they put out new things every single day big carts are coming into the front from the back the prices are reasonable and they even have an antique section. I love their lamp section and I like the jewelry in the front two and that’s one of Debbie’s favorite things she always keeps the jewelry cases full and will take her time to show you whatever you want… Go Deb.

This used to be my favorite thrift store and my minor complaint is that they removed the dressing rooms but the major one is that there is this older lady who was following me around while I shopped recently. Every department I was at she would pop in and watch me, seven or eight times. I didn't have a backpack or large purse either. It was really unsettling.
