Refused to honor warranty on tires due to lack of rotations, but the tires were worn down to unsafe levels less than 20k miles in. I'd brought the car in for service a few months prior—shouldn't they have rotated the tires then? When I filed a complaint, they conveniently claimed that they had no record of me coming in to have my tires checked at all. Of course, by then the unsafely worn tires were long gone.

If you drive a modified vehicle go somewhere else. Been here multiple times for small things like tire patch and alignment after I installed a rack and pinion. Never had much trouble until I brought my car in for a scheduled appointment and they refused it bc it was lowered. Pretty sure half of alignments are performed to fix the natural camber of lowered cars but hey, if you’ve got a family or commuter car, this is your place. Wouldn’t recommend didn’t like the way they nonchalantly refused my business as a regular customer and local.

I was returning from Lake Tahoe early on a Saturday morning when I noticed obvious signs my tires were out of balance, plus I was due for a rotation. I went to Sierra Nevada Tire & Wheel expecting a long wait. Nope. I was promptly greeted and registered. I was in and out in 45 minutes. I’ve had a great experience every time I’ve serviced a vehicle at this shop. We are fortunate to have a great local small business like this one!

Just came for a tire to be fixed , very very slow day, and still waited 4 hours. But this is the the thing, no letting me know anything and then so incredibly snide mark when handing me back my keys and I never even said or complained about the unnecessary wait! Wt! Really. And then they are going to be rude ! . I love the tires here,but this isn't the first time they have been rude.

These people are trustworthy; unlike other tire companies, they have never tried to sell me anything I didn't need. Although their prices may be a little higher than Walmart's, you can be sure that when you pay for the service that it was performed by one of their qualified specialists. strongly suggested.

I was in applehill for the day all the way from modesto. When I got a flat tire and happened to catch this place open towards the end of the day and they still took me in and finished in a timely manner. Great job everyone and nice little old school area 👍🏽

Just over a year ago, I had work done on my suspension and had four new tires put. So that I could receive the rebate on the tires, they made sure to finish the entire project in a single day. I pulled my car back inside after noticing it was making the same sounds it had been making recently (along with my complimentary balance and rotation). They verified that it was the same problem. They sought to get the part warrantied as well, even though it had been more than a year since the job was performed, in addition to the labor warranty. This business runs with such integrity and consideration for its clients. They are extremely busy for a reason, and the wait is definitely worth it. I won’t be going anywhere else for my car.

I came to fix a puncture. They asked $30 and 3 hours wait.I decided to check what it would cost to replace old tires. They quoted the same tires 60% higher then Walmart. I went to another tire company and got my puncture fixed for free in just 20min. Why would somebody ever chose Sierra?

I moved to the area 1 year ago and have had service work, oil changes and bought new tires for my 2008 Fj cruiser. The staff is always professional, knowledgeable and friendly and the wait time has always been minimal. Customer service is an A plus and Sir Mozey gives them a paws up!!!

These individuals are reliable; they have never tried to sell me something that I didn't need, which is unusual for a tire business. Their costs may be a little higher than Walmart's, but their technicians are qualified, so you know they did the service when you pay for it. highly advisable.

Disappointment. Definition of my experience. I had heard good things about this shop and my wife needed an alignment. So I called and made an appointment. 2 weeks out but that's OK, I understand. Her ac quit working the week before I made the appointment so I decided to have them check it as well. I explained that the ac had a leak and i had tried to put store nought freon but it leaked out in less then 24 hours. Told the gentleman that my wife would be bringing her car but not to call her with the information to call me. She doesn't understand cars enough to chat about it or make a decision. So she take it in and tells them to call me. What happens, 20 minutes later they call her to pick up her car. Stating that they can not work on it. Steering parts need replaced and since I had put store bought r134 they wouldn't even look at it. So I call them and get told the same thing. Why wasn't I told about this from the beginning? Why did they not call me. No answer just sorry we weren't aware of this. Wait what? So I spoke with Jason, manager I assume, and he just assures me that he will talk with his staff about it. Ok fine. So I asked if they had an estimate to fix the alignment and he tells me that they haven't but they will when my wife picks up the car. I expressed how unhappy I was about the whole situation but I was still considering having the work done. Guess what happend? My wife picks the car up and ask for the estimate and they tell her they didn't write one up, that I had other plans! Very unprofessional and besides saying sorry they didn't care at all. The original guy just gave me attitude and the second was not helpfull either. So I get home and my wife tells me how rude they were when she picked it up. Acted like they didn't have time for her. I will not be going back and I hope they nobody else does.

When my vehicle was purchased from a local dealer, they had two different brand tires on them. They weren’t even tires that should have been on the vehicle due to the vehicle being FWD. I also noticed my brakes felt like they needed to be replaced but was never told they looked bad. I finally decided to get all new tires (all four matching tires) and when I drove away, I noticed a significant difference in the way my vehicle handled. I also noticed my brakes felt like they were new. The customer service was amazing, they gave me several options to choose from and explained the benefit of them and also any cons I could have. I definitely recommend anyone who needs to have their vehicle looked at regarding tires etc., to visit Sierra Nevada Tire. The owner of the company is a kind person as well.

This place is horrible. Only have themselves in mind and not the customer. Bought a tire and a week later it was all bubbled out on the sides. They refused to warranty it. They DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTIES. Place is a joke.

The Employees here were very kind and accommodating. They change my oil very quickly. If I lived in the area I’m sure I’d be a regular here. They also give discounts to traveling nurses which I thought was sweet. Oh and dog friendly!

Fine job installing a new tire. The only glitch was that I had originally been trying to schedule the appointment in Pollock Pines. But when I called the Pollock Pines office the phone kept disconnecting immediately. Somehow I got connected with the Placerville office and I didn't learn the appointment was made in Placerville instead of Pollock Pines until I drove to Pollock Pines from Somerset. I had to wait a couple hours in Placerville for the tire installation but that was ok. They got me in an hour early.

I have been going there for three years, ever since they opened. I'm a fussy customer and I have been more than happy with every experience, I have may daughter and son take their cars there. I call my co workers knuckleheads if they take their cars elsewhere. You will not find a more honest shop. The owner loves what he does and they will take care of you. What's better, the service is always excellent whether the owner is on site or not.

All I needed were my brake pads replaced, I had already bought brand new ones and needed them to be installed. The man that answered was extremely rude and short with me and said “we don’t install customer parts”. Considering I got them from a well accredited brand and they were still in the box I’m assuming he meant that they did not do installations unless they were allowed to overcharge you with their brake pads. Unprofessional, snappy, and short. Maybe the guy was having a bad day but regardless when you are working a retail job you are supposed to be at least moderately friendly.

We were on our way camping when what sounded like my brakes were wearing out. Figured I better get them replaced before towing my trailer home. After checking my brakes they found a small stone was rubbing and making the awful sound. They put the tires back on and didn’t charge me. Highly recommend his shop for honesty and great service

Service was great. Came in for a 4 wheel alignment it was fairly priced. and done efficiently. There is good path behind the shop to walk your pets. My dog was welcomed inside. :)
