LOVE OUR NEW FIREPLACE!!! These guys were amazing. Casey took the time to show us the options we had the differences between a wood stove and an insert. He was very knowledgeable and was not pushy in any way. He was honest and upfront about the supply chain issues and told us which units were more likely to be available in a reasonable amount of time.After we settled on an insert they got us in touch with one of their preferred contractors. Brian with BW Construction came out to look at the old fireplace insert and confirm that the new insert would work without a major remodel. Brian was very nice and professional and his bid for the work was reasonable.A couple weeks later the stove was in and Brian was ready to install. Brian worked fast and efficiently and was very clean and respectful of my home.I would highly recommend Sierra Home Alternatives and BW Construction.

Bought my pellet stove insert in 2021; great buying experience, worked great the first year. Then it blew a fuse. Called for repair and they came out two weeks later. Josh said it was a fuse that blew and also that the install guys did not do the auger right because it was pinching a wire, so he fixed it. He did not have the right fuse needed so he ordered one. Since having the initial visit and supposedly fixing the pinched wire, we have had to voice other concerns that we never had to deal with the first year, such as having a 12 inch flame when the heat is set to low and the auger dropping so many unburned pellets in the ash tray that they eventually catch fire and burn in the bottom. Honestly it's very scary. Now the pellet stove drops pellets onto the bottom tray and everything catches on fire. When someone else came back out 2 weeks later he replaced the fuse but told us that he was running behind schedule and did not have time to look into our concerns. Because of this we have been unable to feel safe using our pellet stove. My daughter works for a local HVAC company and said that their technicians would never tell a customer that they don't have time for their concerns. They stay till the job is done. We have not been able to safely use our stove in over a month. Ridiculous. Friday 1/20/2023 Josh came out after seeing my review. We did what he suggested changed out the pellet's we were using, now we are using Golden Fire and we still cannot control the flame. So I think we need a new control board. I have it on low but the flame is still out of control.Update Josh came out and replaced the control board and stayed and started it up to make sure it was running right. I give this company a 4-5 star review.

Working on keeping my 28 year old Fabco pellet insert alive. The gentleman staffing the store was super knowledgeable, helpful and got me what I needed to get back up and running. When the Fabco dies for good, I'll be looking for a replacement from Sierra.

Can't say enough good things about Sierra Home. Went to the store and had an awesome experience with Ricky. He suggested we have our fireplace serviced. We did that and Josh came to our house. He was beyond helpful, he taught us how to properly use our fireplace. He was friendly, efficient and an absolute pleasure to work with.

Just want to give a shout out to this company and their employees. From the minute I called in the woman who scheduled my 1st service was knowledgeable explaining pellet stoves (my 1st one) she set me up with appt. Josh and Daniel arrived timely, clean and cordial - Josh walked me thru the service and explained everything he did and how he thought my original complaint would most likely be resolved. Since then they have been out twice for other issues and they have been just wonderful !!!

What a wonderful Wood Stove buying experience!!! I bought my new stove last month.... end of season super deal and every aspect of purchase went perfect. The salesperson "Jon" answered all my questions and credit needs, "Willie Jones" the installer was crazy efficient one man team drilling, cutting moving 440 lb stove solo. I highly recommend this local store. P..S fifth stove or gas insert my family has purchased over last 20 years

Sold me a stove that had fan issues first year of ownership. After the second year of problems. I told them I wanted to replace the stove because I wasn't willing to replace fans every year. Each time the fan was replaced I was told it was an upgraded fan and I should have no issues this went on for 4 years. Now they tell me there is nothing that can do for me. They obviously do not back their products.

Unethical! A technician came to my home to give me a quote to have my insert removed. He told me this would run several thousand dollars because it was built into the wall and the brick surround and mantel would need to be removed. The technician also told me that my insert was dangerous and could burn my house down! He then started trying to sell me a pellet stove. 2 days later they called with estimates for a new unit. To be on the safe side, I got a second opinion from another contractor. They told me that it would be easy to remove my insert because it was just sitting inside my fireplace and not built in, as I was told. They also told me that it was very safe. When I told him what Sierra Home said, he just shook his head.

Always a great place lots of help--but petet stove is on the broken side -they said the 4 year old pellet stove needed 700.00 worth of work- I unpluged it rebooted the computer board in the thing- it fired right up- I will be doing business witth stoves and stuff ftom now on

Very bad experience. Asked twice, 4 days apart, for a part and both times they gave me the same price. Went in to purchase the part and the price tripled. Never will do business with this place again.
