Deli chicken was awesome today. Still waiting for the remodel to happen. New floirs,fixtures and lights will greatly improve shopping experience . Great selection of tortillas too.

Customer service is great. Lots of variety. Ample parking. Return policy is not an issue when returning stale items. Tight isles but understandable with limited overall total space.

Love our local Save Mart. they don't have a huge selection of food like the bigger grocery stores but if you just need to get a few items, it's, perfect, and the staff there are very nice.

Bought a package of hamburger yesterday 10/30 , put it straight in refrigerator when I got home literally 10 minutes after purchase, opened it to make Halloween dinner and it smells like fish.. not feeding that to my family, called the store and No answer... so disappointed with the quality of food we are paying so much for.

Very expensive grocery store. Recently had some upgrades, but cashiers aren't very friendly and constantly chat with each other when checking your goods out.UPDATE: This is still a very expensive grocery store. After a few years of stopping here after work when the major chain grocery stores are not convenient, I find the staff to be small-town friendly. The lines are incredibly long between 4-4:30 weekdays.

Crazy, they closed the doors early at 9:55pm when they are suppose to close at 10pm knowing there is another storm coming and they won’t let me swap my propane. Trust me, I’ll make sure the manager here’s about this one. Thanks!

I wish I were able to give less than 1 star! This is the worst Save Mart around. I have tried this location on several occasions hoping that the rudeness I experienced was just a fluke but sadly that is not the case. Not only was the checker incredibly rude and dismissive, she blatantly accused me of stealing a drink while shopping and not paying for it. When I kindly informed her she was mistaken that I had in fact placed the water back in the cooler she proceeded to argue with me and then said, "Really?? Well whatever" She then completely ignored me throughout the remainder of my time in her line to the point where I didn't even realize she had completed our transaction. As I walked out of the store she began gossiping about me as I left to the next customer in line. Living in a small town such as we do, it is rare to walk into a store and not know at least one other person in the establishment so you can imagine my humiliation at being called a thief in front of a very long line of my fellow towns people! I would have been happy to clarify to store personal any questions/concerns they may have had but to publicly humiliate and degrade me crossed a line. As I mentioned earlier this, unfortunately is not the first time I have experienced outright rudeness while shopping at this Save Mart so in the future I will just shop elsewhere and encourage others to as well.

I used to shop at this particular Save Mart almost every day. It was the store closest to my house. Well, I recently shattered my kneecap & had to stay at a friend's house in town. So I went to do 'big grocery shopping ' twice while I stayed there. It was pretty much the same set up as back in the 90's. There was a lot on sale of the items I was buying. And I definitely got a lot for my money. It's an old store that hasn't had a remodel. It's a little dark, & tho I know it's clean, it looks a little dingy. It's not the store's fault. And there is a 2nd Save Mart on Missouri Flat Rd., that is bright & shiny & clean looking. It's like that store gets all the perks, & this store, since it's around more lower middle class, & lower class home's, that they don't deserve a bright, shiny remodeled store. I've lived in this town for 40 year's & nothing has been done to brighten up this store? That hardly seems fair. I sure get my money's worth from this store tho. I would love to shop there weekly, but I live a good 20 minutes outside of Placerville. And there is a grocery store only about a mile from where I live. It's more expensive, but they are really good about carrying items that are special requested. I've called their corporate office & requested items for them to carry at this store a few time's. If I lived closer to Save Mart, it would definitely be my main store for grocery shopping. Considering how far out I live, I'm just glad there's a store out here st all. Too bad there isn't a Save Mart out here, too.

Normally I would say the prices here are better than most but you really have to watch we got bacon and I wasn't paying attention and it was $10 a package. Not sure if it was something crazy but just didn't like the surprise. People are nice and store is easy to navigate.

They did some remodeling, and the place really looks good, and smells better. It appears they also cleaned up the help. There was always rude and questionable females running the place, yesterday all I encountered were very friendly, clean, respectful staff. Good job Save Mart! I will be shopping there more often now.

They've updated the store and frankly I liked it better before. Save Mart's overpriced, the only reason I went to spend money there was because I had a coupon. Everybody's nice for the most part I suppose. I'll keep going back as long as I have a coupon.

I love this smaller local grocery it is so convenient and everyone knows you so they can anticipate your needs! The only downside is they dont have courtesy carts for the disabled and when I am really having a flare up, this is the difference between shopping here or at a bigger store.

Great staff here. Very friendly and helpful any timeni have been here. The only downfall is that the store is small. The selection of some items is white limited. There's no bakery and deli, though they do have a few bakery items from another location or something.

Very good grocery store 😁 location, ample parking on two separated lots, great selection on meats, cheese, snacks items, coffee and assorted beverages, to include dairy, juice, soda pop, beer and wine. Also has outstanding balance of 🏕️ camping supplies such as food and beverage coolers, ice chests, charcoal, propane, wood, starter fluid, paper towels, bath supplies. Another plus is that this store location has an inside and outside Red Box DVD and video game kiosks. What more of a selection could you even ask for before your next trip up the mountain. Really, last stop till you get to Lake Tahoe.

For a small grocery store Savemart in Placerville is convenient if you need to grabs one thing quick. They do not have a deli or bakery and their produce section is minimal. Their generic items are very minimal so you are forced to buy name brand things that seem to be very expensive. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall it is a decent store if you are shopping for a meal or so but I wouldn't recommend a full grocery shopping for the whole month trip.

New lipstick - same pig.I've lived in Placerville for over 25-years, and as SaveMart on Broadway is closest to my house, I have been consistently disappointed with this store - bad produce, poor selection, dingy, old flooring and facade. Recently, the store has been given a face-lift with new flooring and bright displays. I shopped there recently and bought a pre-made salad. Even though it was within its freshness date, the lettuce was slimy and moldy. Nothing has changed with this store, except some new lipstick.
