A billion stars for this vet. My 15 year old husky, Heidi, was on her way to the rainbow bridge today. The vet was getting ready to close but they remained open to help Heidi across the rainbow bridge. The staff remained to help and the owner herself helped bring Heidi into the vet and helped her pass.The staff is very loving, sweet, kind, and amazing. You can't go wrong bringing your fur baby to them. The owner gives very good and comforting hugs.

Great customer service ! Always friendly and personable. Everyone genuinely cares about the well being of your pet. My cat and dog are completely at ease during visits because of the gentle care and approach they take when greating us. The atmosphere is calm . And everyone is helpful as well as professional. The prices are also great .

We've been going here for years. We recently relocated and attempted switching vets for a shorter drive. We quickly realized how much we appreciate Pleasant Valley Pet Clinic. No switching vets for us! It's worth the drive. We've always been treated kindly and with compassion. Plus, most importantly, our animals do great here.

I have Vet work on Horses, Cattle, Dogs, and other animals.I'm also a EMT.I was looking for a Vet I could trust, not a rush in rush out Vet that just takes your money.I was recommended this place.I have some puppies that has a skin condition, I figured Ring worn.The puppies at the time just 6 weeks old, two had the condition, so brought them both in with a pet carrier.I right away received an attitude from the front desk person like I was trying to get away with something avoiding two visits charge.Come on best to bring in two little puppies, compare condition.A little short visit and some cheap medications, with a wait for lab results for second puppy they used for skin culture, they charged me $500.Ridiculous.Follow up they want to purchase more medications and more visits.Nope, to pricy and just what I was worried about, more concerned about money than helping.

Had to put my dog down today as bad of the experience that is the staff at this place was wonderful. This is not my regular vet. Mine was too busy to get me in. They recommended Pleasant Valley veterinary. The doctor and the front staff were so nice. They first gave her a sedative and she fell asleep. I felt so at peace, knowing that she would not even know what was going on because she was sleeping.

They take great care of all of their clients.Im 40 yrs old now, but I remember Pleasant Valley Pet Clinic taking care of my pet rabbit, when I was about 6 yrs old. And many other pets there after. Now I run a dog boarding facility close by, "Placerville Dog House", and I'm glad to see the pet clinic is still there and doing well.

I'm amazed at how nice this place was and Dr.Johnson and his staff are amazing as well.Finally we have found a vet that is priced reasonably.Will be back again if we ever need them 🐶🐶🐶🐶

I've used this vet clinic for years, things have changed.Had a terrible experience with a newer vet though my appt. Was with vet I knew. New owner and vet basically told me your dogs gonna die if we don't perform this high risk operation now, big bucks. We'll partner on the dog and I said we'll research it , No your is gonna die, no other treatment!She'll be steril. Owner called me a breeder in a negative way. I schooled her on the dedication of AKC owners, we ain't breeders we show we compete we carry on known characteristics of dogs. Dang woman, you serious?!We'll ran the girl down the hill to certified vet in these matters. Turns out they misread the altra sound, mis diagnosed treatment and wanted a risky expensive op leave her starile. We'll other vet set us on apath to healing our heeler. It worked at one 6th the cost. They overcharge and sharing my experience with friends and neighbors they all said yah they ain't who they used to be overcharge we don't Go There no more.

My 12 year old Labrador had a piece of a nylon bone get stuck in the back side of his throat and was in distress. I took him to my vet for urgent care and the facility was closed due to Covid.I called Pleasant Valley Pet Clinic to see if they could assist with the problem. Literally, they took Cash into surgery and removed the object in less than one hour. Cash is home resting comfortably as I write this review. Doctor Johnson was amazing and went far beyond the immediate emergency. He thoroughly examined Cash while he was under sedation for other geriatric conditions. Heck, they even trimmed his nails.I am soooo appreciative.Thank you!

I absolutely love this vet! I was so worried bringing my little dog Izzie into the vet but the second I walked in they made us feel welcome and in good hands. The vet was the best vet ove ever had, he was kind and personable and made us feel at ease. Even my dog, who usually will try to anyone she sees(chihuahua anyone else) nearly instantly took a liking to him. He knew exactly what the problem was and assured me Izzie would be fine within a week and she was! Then 2 weeks later we received a Christmas card in the mail with every single staff members signature and welcoming us, it was very kind and thoughtful of them. My mom will be bringing her dogs and cats here and I know I'll bring Izzie back for years to come! Give this place a try they will take good care of you and your furbaby.

I have 2 huskys and they constantly get into mischief.This clinic is by far the best I've been to. And I shop around alot lol.Gotta find the right fit you know.From rattle snake bites to blockages and vaccines to neutering.They have taken amazing care of my dogs when things looked bad and just when they needed they checkups.Couldn't be more pleased with the service, professionalism, and overall etiquette of the whole staff.You won't go wrong bringing your furry friends here.

We recently moved to the area and it was very difficult to find a vet clinic that would take us on. Our dog was 12 years old and we felt that added to the complication of finding a vet that would be willing to see us. Appointments were weeks out. Emergency appointments hard to come by.Pleasant Valley took us on within 24 hours. Our Harley was declining and we needed to figure out what was wrong with him so we could get him the care he needed. Dr. Hamilton and his staff at Pet Valley were caring, very informative and did an excellent job consulting with us. We ran some tests and assigned a care plan as best as we could.Unfortunately we decided to do what is best for Harley 4 days later. His decline was more rapid than any of us could have anticiapted. We would have used Pet Valley if it would have not been on a Sunday (they are closed and deserve rest). We would go back any time. The clinic and staff cares about our pets.

Ive had pets all my life but just when you think you know it all...you move to a new to the area and get 2 pups from another coast. The staff at Pleasant Valley has been so great and really knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable, hours are very accommodating, care is as comprehensive as you want it to be and they have a lot of experience with a variety of pets and regionally specific issues.

I had 4 dogs and pleasant Valley pet clinic took great care of my fur babies.We lost one to old age a few years ago.Then we lost the 2nd one to Brain tumor, 3rd one lost to old age.We have one left.We moved here in 2004 and started going to pleasant Valley pet clinic and we've been going there ever since.We love the staff💖They are always good to us and our pets.

When we took our cat to be put down by this vet, they said that they needed to put a catheter in him 'to make things easier' and when we asked if it was painful to do so, they assured us it wasn't. My niece could hear him screaming from the front office. When I asked them what was happening she was told they had already given him a sedative because 'he was being aggressive'.. This was an 18 year old cat who was dying. How aggressive could he be? And if he was, maybe it had something to do with the fact he was getting a very painful catheter put in just to be put to sleep. Nobody in our family will ever use this vet again.

Absolutely amazing. Saved my dog Bee's life after being completely misdiagnosed by Shingle Springs Veterinary Clinic.. They had great communication, awesome customer service and knowledgeable staff and vets all around. Bee is now resting at home with the proper diagnosis, treatment working, although he has a long road ahead of him and he seems much more comfortable. Thank you sooo much to Dr.MacQueen and other staff who worked to keep our dog stable and getting him home to us safely! 100% recommend!!!! If I could give 10 stars, I would! You all are awesome!!!

This is a great doggie, feline and other animal clinic nestled in the beautiful Pleasant Valley area of El Dorado county.. We actually drive up from Rancho Cordova(we use to live up in area) The staff are very friendly caring ppl working with skilled and experienced doctors.. I highly reccomend them to take excellent care of your pets no matter what kind of pet you have.
