This is a very nice and well run outdoor sports store. They have a great selection of all types of firearms, fishing and hunting supplies, archery equipment and accessories. Hunting and fishing tags are also sold here. Nice displays and layout, enjoyable to walk around and shop. Most of the staff is very helpful, friendly, and attentive. I've been to all the gun shops in this area, and Mosquito Creek Outfitters is definitely the best one.

It seems that this place was a horrible place to do business won't be going in there any time soon. Not helpful.doesent carry the things they say on line. And wont hesitate to overcharge for a simple service!!

These folks are very nice. Easy going. Totally helpful and not greedy. They want to help. I’m lucky. I went in to fix a firearm I could not repair on my own. Mike gave me an education and did it in the most friendly manner. I’m lucky for him and this shop. I totally recommend.

Was a loyal customer for decades, but honestly deal breaking, lousy customer service. We got my 3 year old a kiddie pole, went to use it, and it immediately broke. The whole “no returns on used equipment” was firm, defective product or not. Who does this? Super rude, as one employee said they’ll absolutely take care of me, and the “non-manager in charge” employee told me tough luck and was ignorant to obvious defective products, and how retail normally works. I Hope you guys pull these from the shelf, and are nicer to customers that buy broken defective products in the future. We won’t be back, but I’m pretty sure they couldn’t care less.

We go camping annually north of Placerville and wanted to get some fishing poles for our boys for the trip and other trips.we are avid campers. We want to support local businesses too. We are not from the area and when we entered the young man at front a decided that it was a good time to mislead some people from out of town. We asked if they had some entry level fishing poles for our boys that were not toys. He showed us one and said it was $15, and said it was super easy to use. We repeated a couple of times: $15. My husband has a slight accent but I do not. Turns out the poles were $50. But we didn't find out until he had strung the line and checked us out. The poles were also hard to use and had a steep learning curve for our boys. So a place for locals not welcoming for people from out of town. Which is funny because the location would be prime for people who are from out of town on the way to mountains. Only redeeming quality is the sweet french Bulldog wondering around looking for pets. Live and learn. Big 5 next time for us.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they and support. They specialize in firearms and archery equipment with a small touch of fishing rods and supplies. The management and staff do a lot to make you feel at ease during your browsing and/or purchasing experience. Should I or my family have any questions or issues they are there to offer their full support.

Great little store, decent selection of items. They're really knowledgeable and helpful when you have questions, and super nice. I just wish they were open later or open Sundays, but other than that I can only say positive things!!

I stopped in here while I was passing through town. Not looking for anything in particular. The guys at the counter were all eager to help. The new selection was like most places right now. However they have some used and consignment inventory too. I grabbed a mag I needed. Seems like the go to place for all your sporting needs in the area.

Great staff! Very convenient place and knowledgeable staff. Too bad the government is too busy keeping people from buying ammo rather than fixing our state problems. These guys do good work and try to get people through the DROS paperwork as fast as possible.

Went here to pick up some flys and worms for trout fishing. Decent prices and friendly staff. They also have dozens of animal mounts. They are everywhere. Lions, bears, elk, deer, turkeys, you name it. If you like that kind of thing then go check it out! If you don't, then I wouldn't recommend going here.

Went here to buy a few things for a fishing trip last minute, decent selection of products, but what impressed me more was their rod selection. There is not too many people that care Phenix Rods, also I think his name was Zack, but he was incredibly knowledgable and professional!

Don is very friendly and helpful, fair rates and will assist you with all of your archery needs whether you are just getting into archery and have a "starter" bow or a premium bow he'll help you. Great guy to talk about bows and hunting! Been to some other bow shows and and chain outdoor stores and this is our go-to place now for sure. Even if you didn't buy the bow from him, bring it in to him, he'll work on it.

I used to say that this is my gun shop, used to. But after how I was treated the last time I went in idk if I'll go back. I went in to purchase a .40 cal to use for work as well as for the range. I was treated like I was unwanted and rushed out as quickly as they could. Yes I still purchased the firearm but when I went back after the 10 day waiting period I was treated the same, like I was unwanted and once again they got me out as quickly as they could.

I want to like this place. Each time I have been looking for fly fishing supplies the selection is pretty bad. Many items are out of stock. Their rod and reel selection is pretty dismal as well. It's not that they don't have the space but feels more like they don't have the right person or persons that care and want to maintain a good selection and keep things in stock. All I wanted was black thread and the didn't have it in any size. It's the most basic of fly tying materials.
