Greenhouse Cafe embodies all the best things that a local neighborhood cafe offers… tasty food served by the nicest staff.The signature menu items that I absolutely find to be the best around is the turkey club sandwich and eggs benedict. For the sandwich they use real fresh roasted turkey. Ohh that makes a huge taste difference. The bacon is cooked to a perfect crispness, no rare edges and not burnt either. The egg benedict’s hollandaise sauce is fantastic. Smooth with a just right consistency and emulsification. Flavorful, buttery with oh so slight lemon taste. The eggs are poached to treat you to a show of egg ooziness when pierced.On days they are short staffed, they tape a sign on the front door indicating that and apologizing for the possible longer service times. In any given day, you’ll probably see Claudia, the owner, working. She has a great friendly demeanor.Another thing to note is the bathroom situation. It’s located around the corner of the cafe. To access it, you’ll need to ask for the key. It’s kept clean.

Excellent service. Great selection on menu. I had eggs benedict and it exceeded my expectations. Ham was fresh and not too thick or thin. I like to be able to cut through the benedict with my fork and it did. My daughter got a #3 on the "mini" menu. Includes one pancake and sausage patty. The pancake was cooked perfectly and topped with whipped butter and syrup.

We happened upon this purely by accident. We were early for an event in Placerville and we were hungry so we decided to try and find a quick breakfast spot. We found The Greenhouse Cafe tucked way back in a shopping mall. Honestly, if not for the red umbrella out front, we may have never found it.Well the staff was friendly, the service fantastic and the food? One of the best breakfast meals I have had in I don't know when.We will be back, but this time on purpose!KerryEl Dorado Hills

Was treated rudely by the person who tried to ring me up. They brought our onion rings and fries after we finished our meal because the fryer wasnt turned on. We weren't offered an alternative that doesnt involve the fryer like potato salad or anything like that. We did not want or eat the frys or rings because we were full. The cashier told me "that's just how it is" refusing to do anything. Our server came over and talked to the owner, who instructed to take $2 off our bill. When I tried to talk to owner she blew me off. The whole time they made it seem like it wasn't their fault. We are regular customers and will not be returning because of how I was treated.

This place harkens back to a time when restaurants were simple affairs with limited menus, friendly service, and serving sizes that wouldn’t leave you stuffed and hating yourself for the rest of the day.I am not going to say the food was the best I have ever had - it was good, and that’s all I wanted. The prices are even with all other breakfast spots (perhaps a tad cheaper).If you are looking for a cute, simple, single-room restaurant which doesn’t specialize in anything but doing a good job with friendly service, you can’t go wrong here.

Our first visit. Great food and excellent service. They roast their own turkey. Three of us had turkey dishes and loved them all. Also had French Toast at the table and it was great! We will be back!

I’ve been here a total of 3 times but I will go here more often. Family owned and very respectful. The frenchtoast is great! It reminds of eating at my aunts house. She has kids but they are all grown up and moved on but when she cooks it’s amazing. The price is affordable which gives me more for the tip... When you eat here you will not be disappointed. Felt really good vibes here and the service was great!!!

Best customer service in town. This place is old school in a great way. No gimmicks to attract tourists just great food and happy servers. Try the french toast, you will not be disappointed, thick slices and sweet and just yummy in general. If you end up getting eggs, hash browns or home fries, try it with a side of their home-made salsa.

This is a breakfast/lunch favorite in Placerville. They have a good selection of omelets, benedicts & also smaller meals for the young. The waiter kept the coffee coming & made sure everyone had all we wanted. Don't miss their biscuits. Big, flaky & delicious.For lunch, I almost always have the chicken salad with cranberries & walnuts, served with a delicious vinegrette & my mom gets the turkey sandwich & French fries.I've never been disappointed with any menu choices.Oh, don't forget to read the daily special on the whiteboard just inside by the door.👍

This is a small "hometown cafe". From the reviews I read I anticipated my food to be more plentiful. It was a good enough serving but not overly so. I had the GPa scramble (aka Joe's special) and it was cooked perfectly as were the hashbrowns. The coffee was a nice large cup. I loved the cheerful yellow paint as I believe it to be perfect for a kitchen. The meal was good. Not fantastic and for $16 plus tip I expected more. The service was very good and I tipped accordingly. It will be a long time before I return, because we have not been residents quite a year yet and I have many other choices to try out. On a side note, It was too warm in there for that time of day. I began to perspire. Not good while dining. I hope this serves you. Good food, nice decor, very good service.

Arguably the best French toast I've had in years. Kind of pricey but really high quality across the board, no skimping here so willing to pay an extra dollar or two per plate. Very thankful this is like this are still open after covid!

Quaint and cozy. The food is tasty and generous portions. I had the huervos ranchero. Eggs perfectly cooked and the perfect amount of beans, tortilla, sour cream and cheese. The hash browns were seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding, friendly and attentive. Another gem in our wonderful county. Highly recommend

Great friendly place to stop by. I had an awesome conversation with Emily. My coffee never got less than half full and she gave me home made salsa with my eggs. It was so good that I didnt want to leave any, and of course, she gave me chips to finish the job.So many places lack that personal touch. This one is overflowing with it.This is not the place to go for a chai mocha latte. Good simple food and great service.

This place is a gem. We come here after church. They staff is very nice, the food is really good, and the atmosphere quaint.Ample parking, no wait!Try the fruit bowl. Abundant high-quality, fresh fruit.The French toast is delish. It's so good that i eat it without syrup.
