Visiting from out of town! This place is great. The food is good, and the atmosphere is excellent. Live music on Saturday night. I had the ahi poke nachos which were yummy although the sauce was a bit sweet for me. My boyfriend had the fish and chips. They came out piping hot and flakey. I kept seeing the bread bowls go by…wish we got one!

We really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. We had the fish and chips and the asada quesadilla. The fish was delicious. It was nice and thick and firm on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fries were seasoned perfectly. We also love the asada quesadilla. The steak was cooked well and the blend of steak and cheese was also great. There was a lot of steak and cheese in the tasty crispy tortilla. I would only suggest that they have sour cream on the side. The salsa served with the quesadilla was delicious though with the perfect amount of heat (which for me is you can taste it but it isn't overwhelming).We were surprised with the pour system for our beer, which was awesome. They give you a card and when you go to the taps and pick your beer, you put your pour card in the holder and draw your beer and you can get as much or as little as you want, charged by the ounce. They had a great selection and you can try them before you pour an entire glass. I can't remember the name of my beer, but the one I finally chose was so smooth and one of the best beers I had in a while. You can also get wine this same way.

I wish I could say something good about my visit today because I really used to love this place and have been going with my mom since it opened. When it first opened the ambiance was amazing and the service was great, the food was also really good and had great portions. Today, the server I had who was also the cashier was extremely rude and unhelpful and disrespectful. To be honest, he looked at me and my friend like we personally killed his cat, I was very polite but he was very disinterested in helping either of us. It ruined my entire experience how absolutely rude someone could be. I know it’s hard to work food service but it wasn’t just normal tired or depressed service worker behavior (which I always understand because I also work food service), he genuinely acted like he hated us for personal reasons and wanted us to leave asap. It’s not like I didn’t tip well either, despite that. Anyways, the good quality has declined and so have the portions but the prices have raised and it’s just not it. Everything is mid at best. I will not be coming back. You might want to consider firing that employee if you want to have business from others.

I was there on March 22, 2024, it has definitely changed, food menu was number one my biggest complaint deleted the grilled chicken sandwich, no sweet potato fries, the atmosphere has become like lets hope more people will pile in, changed the cook its almost like they sold the place and fired everyone, re-opened after escrow and threw in a bunch of picnic tables, along with extra tables inside, sorry but we won't be returning. Hated to post because used to love the place not any longer.

Have eaten here before and the food and service were great so we came back. Visited last night and the server /cashier was completely agitated and unhinged. Customers that were there before us were trying to ask him a question and he refused to turn around and just answered them with his back to them. We were next in line with a couple behind us and he never acknowledged us. My partner the went to ask the chef if an item was in the menu when he saw him standing there he threw the bussing tray he had in the stand right by my partner almost hitting g him. The customers behind me and myself all gasped. We decided to leave and will never return. He clearly does not want to work there so you should help him on his journey and let him go.

Absolutely the best Fish & Chips in the city. Moist yet crispy battered fish and perfectly fresh tender chips served hot. The staff was very friendly and helpful as we made our choices. Wonderful place to lunch of have an early dinner. Definitely coming back.

SO GOOD. We had the lobster Mac n Cheese and the Mahi Poke Nachos. Every bite was so delicious. The nachos was technically an appetizer but was large enough to have as an entree. I loved the atmosphere here too. FYI this is NOT a sit down restaurant with a server. Instead you order up front then find a seat and they bring you your order. There is a self serve Tab which has like 30 options of beer, cider and wine. There was a fun seating section that was more family friendly with a playground/sandpit for the kids on the opposite side from the bar so definitely a place I could bring the whole family.

came down to pismo for a long weekend and stopped here as soon as we arrived to live reggae music that started the tone off right! the food was also pretty good, no major complaints and the guava mimosa was tasty. outdoor seating perfect on a warm afternoon. overall great spot for seafood with the best ambiancefish & chips: a well made dish, fries were the highlight as they were well battered and crispyguava mimosa: standard mimosa, can’t really go wrong

If you come to the Central Coast ...you need to stop by Shell Beach and visit Cape Cod Eatery and Taphouse. We came here on a daytime date for lunch. There is plenty of outdoor seating with heating towers and fireplace tables for cooler days. We sampled the Artichoke, the Lobster Roll with Fries and the Calamari. All were seasoned and cooked to perfection. They have a fun way to sample beers on tap. They have about 40 or so taps that you can pour yourself and you get charged by the Ounce. It looked like mostly Central and Southern California beers and wines. The manager was on hand today and was very sweet. She answered all our questions and was incredibly polite. Kudos for bringing Cape Cod to the Central Coast. We can't wait to go back for another date.

A bit put- off by the disinterested order-taker’s attitude. It was almost empty at 1:00 on a Monday and she asked us to wait as she was on her laptop. She was not unfriendly yet definitely a lack-luster demeanor. This was our first time, was excited to share this experience with my family. It’s basically a self-serve no-frills eatery with a great selection of local brews. Food was okay. $18 for the ahi sandwich - pricey.

Excellent! Fish was cooked perfectly, crispy and arrived hot. Chowder was uniquely seasoned and great, fries and rings were awesome! Secret/Special sauce has a little kick to it, wonderful.

The food is sooo tasty here! You can taste all seafood is fresh. The lobster roll is to die for. I don't know if the bread is made there but it was delicious. I had a chicken sandwich and it was so good. The beer and wine choices are good. You have to open a tab with a credit or atm card if you are drinking alcohol. Just beware I had the whole charge pending for a couple of days in my bank even though I payed cash after dinner. The outdoor sitting area is so nice and homey. I highly recommend this place. You can get a free t-shirt with the purchase of a lobster roll.

It was my birthday and my adult kids chose this based on Google reviews. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. We started with appetizers of battered calamari, fries and poke nachos. The calamari was perfectly cooked. The fries were big steak fries and batter fried as well. But the poke nachos... OMG. HUGE chunks of ahi tuna mixed with avocado and seaweed salad and more all nestled a top a basket of unexpected wonton nacho chips. Yum. Needless to say, that's what I ordered for my main. The rest of the choices were fish & chips, lobster mac and cheese, hamburger, ahí tuna burger. This doesn't include the amazing serve yourself tap wall with nearly 40 choices. You get a scan card and pay by the ounce. The server came at the end of our meal with a special complimentary birthday dessert for me to share with the family. Pazooki (skillet cookies topped with ice cream). What a great day!

Food tastes fresh, healthy, and is delicious! They've got two parking lots, one on each side but there is also parking along the road. Outside patio has gas fire if you get chilly. Dogs welcome on the outside patio and there is a lot of room.Outside has wine dispensing system. I'm told it's self serve wine machine.

I ordered the shrimp & chips. It looked delicious & smelled just as good. Looks can be deceiving! It wasn’t delicious & it didn’t taste good. Beer Batter was off & left a after taste. The shrimp were large, but the last half inch or so wasn’t shelled. Chips (French fries) were bitter tasting. Wouldn’t have enough ketchup with them without going comatose on the sugar. Others in my party had the same remarks about the fish & chips.A couple in our party ordered the Cape Cod Lobster Roll. One thought it was good, one thought it wasn’t so good. They both thought it needed something to make it better. No ideas on what it would be. Everyone love the kid play area. Beer & wine selection was limited. We’re all sure we aren’t coming back $120+ for a learning experience

We were on a road trip between Half Moon Bay and Palm Springs. After a 4 hour drive, we were ready for lunch.We pulled off 101 and went downtown Pismo Beach. And this placed called to us.We ordered cod fish and chips! Huge pieces arrived and practically melted in your mouth.Then there were the chips!!! So good, couldn't eat them all and brought home to heat in the air fryer.

A great little place to go. The food is quite good as well. I had the lobster Mac which was great. The only detriments is the lack of any good view of the ocean and the price which is a tad steep. Overall would recommend for a bite with the family

Great place for craft beers (some local, all from California). Their selection is always amazing. They even have sours and wines!Food is great, good portion sizes. Seafood and Clam Chowder are the staples, obviously. You can't go wrong with those options, but there are burgers and fries, just in case. They have lie music in warmer months, on the weekends. The layout is great, with all outdoor seating. If you go on a cold day, or evening, bundle up! They do have heaters at the some of the tables and the tall space heaters as well. One of my favorite spots in South County.

The outdoor eating here is delightful and delicious, especially for breakfast or an evening that ends in roasting s'mores over their fires. First time trying Cape Cod. The fish and chips were crisp, hot and not greasy. Loved the clam chowder. Different flavor then I’ve ever had before. And my husband kept commenting on how good the potato fries were. He’s usually not a fan. The manager was so friendly. Informed us about the live music and hours for future visits.Ugh! Wish I could remember the name of our server/manager? Whoever was working at 11:30am in 9-25-23. Kudo’s to him.
