I have stopped in randomly over the past 8 years and it never disappoints. The people are fun, attentive, and ask questions to help give you the best suggestions. And at least in my experience, they are right every single time. Or all the flavors are delicious. There is always something new and different and worth trying. I wish I could remember all the previous flavors, so I could mention them but I can’t so I’ll just comment on the most recent 2 that I took home - Peach (if you like strawberry ice cream and you like peaches and think that might be just as good in ice cream, you’re right, it really is, and they knew it and did it better than anyone else) and then there is Fluffanella. They had me at ‘marshmallow base’. That’s where I stopped listening and said ‘yes please’. Fair warning, it might set a future standard for ice cream.

Came to camp at Gold Country and stopped by this homemade ice cream shop. Service is fast, despite it being a bit busy. I liked the lemon but didn't love it. I got it since it was recommended by one of the employees. I loved the toasted almond ice cream though! There were real almonds inside and it was creamy while crunchy. There are some pretty unique flavors here and I would like to try more. I appreciate that the ice cream isn't overly sweet too, so I feel like I can eat a lot of it!

Very friendly, no wait even though our group of 7 came in the afternoon on a holiday. Creative flavors to choose from, but just their vanilla itself was tasty. Good portions for the price and flavorful. Very small shop but there is a little outdoor seating. Hit the spot after hiking. Highly recommend for visitors!

Stopped by during our Amador County day trip. We ordered the six mini scoop flight that let us try multiple flavors. Each one was different and delicious. Their flavors shift daily, but they have some consistent flavors in quarts. Parking wasn't too bad, but be careful with the highway. A little up higher up, but worth the drive!

This is the best ice cream our family has had. We constantly come here to buy 4-6 quartz to keep stocked in our freezer. As soon as we get low, we make the drive back. We always try to get different flavors when we go. They always have a nice selection, but Big buzz and circus is our top favorite. The cashiers are always friendly and our knowledgeable about what's in the ice cream.

I brought my granddaughter while we were staying at the campgrounds nearby. Great service. The blonde young lady was very welcoming. My granddaughter enjoyed the lemon custard milkshake. I tried the honey lavender ice cream. Different and tasty. Great little place.

Munnerlyn's is AWESOME! They make their ice cream fresh on site and have a selection of unusual but delicious flavors and some plain ones for the less adventurous along with one everyday that is just random, cool & different! For instance last time I had my usual Mother May I Join The Circus (cake batter ice cream with Mother's pink & white animal cookies) but I tried one that was banana ice cream with peanut butter & candied bacon ... It was amazing! They rotate the flavors too so there is always something new to try. I had Chocolate Stout recently & it was choclate with the light after of a nice stout beer. Wow! The staff is helpful & very friendly. If you are on 88 going thru a little town called Pine Grove look for the tiny shop with the big Ice Cream shaped fluorescent light out front! And definitely make a stop!! So good!

Fabulous ice cream. I’m dairy intolerant and their Vegan Mango and Vegan Blueberry are so creamy. What a treat to eat excellent ice cream and take a quart home!

Very good homemade ice cream. The chocolate chip cherry and chocolate zinfandel is great.4 stars as the servings were small for the price, otherwise, quite nice.

First time trying Munnerlyn's and I'm definitely coming back. Heard through the grapevine around Jackson that this is the spot for good ice cream. We tried the Kit Carson Crunk flavor which was a delicious, delicate, coffee flavored ice cream with some kind of chocolate toffee chunks (I believe it was chocolate toffee, may want to clarify for yourself to be sure) and we also tried their Rocky Road flavor. The Rocky Road had real marshmallows with a very smooth and very chocolatey flavor. Both great! Customer service was also 5 star. Worth the trip😎👍

After trying a burger at 88 Giant Burger, we were craving ice cream. Munnerlyn's is just a few hundred feet up the road. Wonderful, creamy homemade ice cream in traditional and unusual flavors. My go to flavor is rocky road. Dark, chocolatey ice cream with almonds and marshmallows that melt in your mouth. This was the best ice cream I've ever tasted in my 70 years on this planet! It's a little pricey, but worth the drive and the cost. Support a local biz and savor incredible ice cream at the same time!

If you ever drive by hear you must stop here. Definitely top 3 ice cream I have ever had. I take the trip out here from modesto just for this ice cream some times cause it's worth it. Well it was back when gas was less than 4 dollars.
