OK so the other day I went to the stater brothers in Phelan off of Phelan Road and I seen that they do custom cakes , so we decided to order one for my daughters birthday and I don’t regret it. I loved it we love it the taste was great and the decoration as well. It was nice they did exactly what I asked for so I just want to say thank you stater brothers, and to all the employees at the bakery specially to that one person that did my daughters cake so from now on, that’s where I’m going. Thank you again.

Hot damn! I don't know who the creator of that Jalapeno cheese bread and stix was but I can't get enough! Every time I pass through town on my way to Cadiz I snatch a few up! Get it sliced and you won't regret it. The girls there in the bakery section are about as friendly as one can be!

Phelan stator Bros should be avoided between 2:45 and 4pm mon thru Friday due to the schools in the area are letting children out for the day and everyone decides it is a great idea to go shopping g after the kids are rounded up. So if you like crowds and waiting in long lines that take forever go for it. It's a nice clean store with friendly staff and as with most places it is expensive. The McDonald's across the parking lot gets congested also creating some extra effort in finding a park spot due to the drive-through when busy can block one of the parking isles and it is not a line that one can drive past or through so avoid that end of the parking lot and for God sake don't try to turn left from that place just turn right then make a u turn or something anything but the left turn.

There is not much to be done. As a new resident in the feeling area your store is the only choice as it's over 10 miles to the nearest grocery store. That being the case your store is undersized and from what I have observed under staffed. The aisles are too narrow for as many customers shopping at any given time.The check out lines are longer on average then anywhere I have shopped.I'm 57 so I've done my fair share of shopping.24 miles round trip to Aldi's or Walmart isn't looking so bad.

I am sad to have to write this, because I used to love this store but, unfortunately, the quality and freshness of the meats has dropped to a point that it's dangerous and can't be ignored. I bought a piece of tripe and it was completely rotten, even though the expiration date was marked 2 days from today. We stopped buying chicken thighs many months ago because they are always greyish and sitting in they're own slime inside the package. The fish, especially the swai is not as fresh as it used to be and we have had over 3 incidences where the tritip we bought tasted like disinfectant and had to be thrown away. We also had to throw away pork belly that smelled rotten,even though we put it in the freezer as soon as we bough it and only defrosted it on the day we where going to use it that same week.Being from Wrightwood, we don't have that many options available when it comes to supermarkets, but you can be sure that if we ever have a problem like this again, we will be reporting it to the California Department of Public Health.

Your store is missing an opportunity for sales. Other than Coke and Pepsi (CKD patients can't have dark sodas), your store rarely has Zero sugar Mountain Dew, Starry, Ginger ale etc, in the 20oz cooler bottles, or 6 pks. Sorry not a can person, however have gotten them and poured into a bottle. Almost 50% people in the US are pre-diabetics and diabetics. (Looked up statistics) When ever I see any I buy almost all of them. Otherwise I have to search stores for them. Will admit to taking most of them as do not know when I will find any. .more. So here's hoping you can get the delivery people to bring what is available for your customers.

I watched a manager help a woman with the baby carry her stuff out today. I loved it. I’m still not happy that there is a lock on the bathroom. But glad to see the good customer service. Giving back all your stars because the employees seem a little happier so hopefully management is being nice to their staff because the staff is really being kind to us. Everyone has been super kind and helpful. Sushi has been real good lately too.

I just love this store. I go almost every night so I've kinda gotten to know the night shift and they are lovely. I get a good laugh with my two fav night ladies every now and again. The usual night checker ladies. (Sorry can't remember the names at the moment) and the night manager is nice too. The security guard and his singing is phenomenal too. I hate to go late but they know I need my Kinder Eggs and 5 Hours! 😋

Stater Bros. seems to be the "Go-To" Grocer in the High Desert that is the closest to my home and in the local area of my mediate area. Prices used to be competitive and much lower when Jack Brown was President of the Company!Then COVID ran wild and now, prices are higher than ever before. From produce/veg./fruit to dog food, dairy products like milk, butter, etc.! When I can get into areas of Hesperia, my wife & I seem to save a lot of money when shopping at ALDI or Wal-Mart. Many grocery items... especially dog food (having rescues that require us to purchase more than one 44-lb bag at one time) are less expensive. We don't care for the the fruit at Staters as well. It seems to be less tasty, juicy, no flavor. Perhaps...picked too soon or under ripe. Even the more expensive fruits are not worth the money spent. Wish Stater's would re-evaluate who they choose to grow their fruit! It's not something my wife and I will purchase there.

The store was packed and there were many people looking for the same thing in this mess. However, the staff was friendly and patient despite the long lines and grumpy customers. Everytime I go in here it is a great experience. Thank you Phelan Staters!

Not impressed with selection of some items, not impressed with beef, and check out is either really good, or hit and miss. Younger associates seem less professional, but that's my opinion. Prices are mid range though, but pay attention to sale items labeling verbage, read the fine print! I miss my FoodsCo in Fresno! :(

Dirty store where it counts. New dairy case stinks of sour milk. Dirty Dirty Dirty. Same goes for the produce area. Whenever this store gets new equipment you'd expect they would keep it clean...THEY DO NOT. Prices used to be good now they are ridiculously high. I hope we get a better market soon.

Please teach your young employees how to bag groceries properly. The last few times I've been there, I've had smashed produce with heavy items on top of them. This is not a one time occurrence. I rarely shop at your store anymore because you are more expensive than other stores, but when I do this keeps happening. Also they should know what sort of items shouldn't be bagged together with produce. Employees are nice though, so you get an extra star for that. This is Phelan location I shop at.*update*The last few times I've gone, they seem to take better care of how the groceries are bagged.

It's the only local grocery store close by.I don't like the digital deals or digital coupons stores are using now. I feel it's discriminatory towards many seniors and disabled adults. I know my son or mother are not able to use this option and therefore miss out on savings that seniors and the disabled really need. Stores should allow customers to use the method easiest for them either through coupons, rewards cards or apps.

Super helpful, helped us the entire time of waiting for AAA to come due to broken lock on door and being locked out is car. Even gave us free water and snacks and a cool place to sit.

Their prices are skyrocketing. And their own brand of frozen foods are beginning to have serious quality issues. My Texas Toast and hash brown patties were freezer burnt and disintegrating. Very nice staff. Very clean store. Great deli. Great Security Guard.

I used to like shopping at Stater Bros until the last 3 years. Be fore the panic buying last year and the shipping delays of supplies this year. The last 3 yrs they've stopped carrying a lot of the products I like and use . They carry more of the Stater Bros and other generic brands I don't care for. Which means I end up having to drive an extra 15-20 miles to find the products I like. Also their meat used to be good quality but the last 4 yrs their meats cook up tough,whether you fry,bake,broil or BBQ their steaks,chops,brisket,etc . The only meats I buy there anymore is hamburger & salt pork.

Lovely store! Well stocked, very clean, many courteous employees, beautiful community. This comment is directly related to the people who live there. In the midst of Christmas holiday the parking lot was packed with folks scurrying to accomplish their goals before the "BIG DAY"! It was at this time that one of my rambunctious pot bellied pigs made her escape! Talk about a" heart in your throat" moment. . .The good people of this community stopped their vehicles, right where they were, some even joining in the rescue effort...in a moment there were people, young and d alike, making a hilarious , united effort to bring Miss Piggy to safety. Did I mention that the s ow was beginning to fall? My hat is off in deepest appreciation to the good people of this high desert community for their compassionate, kind hearts. The experience will bring a delighted smile to my face upon recall. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the lovely community of Phelan, Calif. Thx so very much.

I personally really like this particular store. The staff are very diligent and personable. This can sometimes lead to slower lines but they are very efficient and thorough. They make the experience by making sure you are happy. If I've ever had a problem with produce or meat I've taken it back and had it replaced with no problem.
