I do not advise going to this Safeway from the hours of midnight till around 5am. The night stocking crew are very rude. Don't attempt to ask any employees where anything is unless you do not mind a reply with an answer attached with a not so subtle hint that you are bothering them and that your just in there way. Also it seemed to me as if I was being followed by the manager and when I asked the checkout employee about it her reply made me feel as if I was a criminal. Just fyi....I have never stolen a dam thing in my life and my personal appearance is clean and professional but from stocker to manager they have not once but within 3 late night visits have made me feel unwanted.

2 stars because I tried to get trail mix and it wouldn't scan at self checkout. Person running didn't know how to deal with the item and manager on lunch so no trail mix. Also this store is not like it use to be and needs to do better

Why is the Chinese food here so good?? Seriously, I had the pineapple chicken yesterday and the Kung Pao chicken today, and both times, my food has been as high quality as the stuff from Lily Kao.Did you guys hire some Micheline star chefs or something recently? Every time I order Chinese food at the deli, the food is beyond fantastic.5 star food. Friendly employees. Wonderful quality even at 7pm.What else can I say? I'm going to get fat from eating here so often! I can't stop coming back.

Really nice, clean, and professional staff. I had a $5 coupon for my birthday on the just 4 u app, and for some reason it wasn’t working, I had let the lady know which I forgot her name and she still honored it. Being a college student, on a tight budget, I really did appreciate it. I originally live in Rohnert Park, they didn’t have the birthday candle i was looking for because they were out of stock. That is why I drove to the petaluma location, I was very happy and pleased with their service even though i drove almost 20 minutes each way.

This store opened in 1976, the year I moved to Rohnert Park. I've chopped here off and on since 1976. For the last 17 years I've shopped here regularly. The products are consistently of good quality and reasonably priced. To quote the former Governor, "I'll be back!"

Not well stocked EVER! Fresh fruit and veggies are always going bad. Most of the staff is really friendly, at least there's that.... Wish it was an Oliver's Market instead 😏

Terrible place to work, not a great first job experience. I would never recommend any friends or family to work at this Safeway. The managers are awful, unorganized, and condescending. Staff is also unorganized, uncoordinated, and gossips continuously. Was very disappointed to hear of a current employees hiring and training experience. You can work hear for months and they will never give u your employee discount, u won't get trained properly, they won't get ur schedule right. They also skimp on helth and safety trainings!!! It's disappointing to hear how awful the workers hear are treated. As a previous employee, I absolutely regret recommending my friend to work hear.

The Petaluma, Sonoma Mountain Store, has the Best Chinese Food takeout, Richard is friendly and adds Fresh vegetables for a better taste.The store is my favorite Safeway in Sonoma County. Whenever working in Petaluma, I recommend this store for lunch.

The staff is super friendly and helpful, especially their curbside pick up team. As a person with a chronic illness, the ability to order online and pick up outside takes a lot of anxiety out of getting shopping done. This location especially has a great curbside pick up team and the location has a great selection of organics.

Great shopping experience today! Had everything we needed. Also was able to get rid of $15+ in coins at the CoinStar machine. Then in turn, took that to the in-store Starbucks for much needed coffee beans. A very productive trip

It's a small version of the Safeway we all know and mostly love...the clerks etc are very friendly. Not a crabby one in the bunch so far. That's very important. Food is very expensive and there is a certain amount of resentment that goes with paying these prices, but if it comes with a smile and a 'hows your day?' It makes it palatable. Very clean and well stocked. Beautiful flowers.

This is my favorite Safeway. It's quiet, it's clean, it's well stocked and it has the nicest people. I particularly like the meat and seafood department their. Ask for Valerie because she's the best. I also really love the selection of fine liquors and the really good deals you can get on them.

the store is clean well stock. and their vegetables section is the best Ii have seen the manager must make sure of that. I like the store except for the young cashier they have. some of them are rude, smart a__, think they are doing you a favor all of them are no asset and that is sad.

Love the store and close to our house BUT they need to have one regular check out open at all times so quick check can be for a few items.Dont go on your lunch hour unless they fix the check out rows.

Way better parking than the other Ptown Safeway, and more mellow. Nice staff. Only problem is no self checkout machines, so I'm subtracting a star because there's only one lane for checkout in the evenings.

These people do NOT respond to customer concerns. They offer Google pay, but it only works some of the time. I left my wallet in the car today and had to get out of line , go to my car to get my wallet when Google pay didn't work. Cashiers consistently could not care less. Managers too. Frustrated.

I liked this place better when it was G&G market. I stood at the counter for some fried chicken for 5 minutes while workers just kept looking over at me. An older woman got in front of me and they spoke to her right away even though I was there first. I got no acknowledgment whatsoever, just uncomfortable glances. I walked out of course but that is really ridiculous and lousy CS. I will not bother coming back unless I need to use the restroom. At least that service is free and does not require anyone helping me bc obviously I am too brown to even be acknowledged.

On a search for Boston cream pie. Only bakery in town that regularly offers it. Good thing there's two Safeways in town as the S. McDowell store didn't restock inventory but the one on Sonoma Mountain Parkway had 3 of them.Thanks for the cake.

This is just like all the other Safeway's you might venture into. Parking is easy. Starbucks and a great burrito place are here if your hungry. The grocery store that was here previously featured a lot of local meat, fish and veggies. Would be great if Safeway started focusing on that.

BEST SAFEWAY I'VE EVER BEEN IN .. they took over the old G&G market and .. kept it almost the same inside. It REALLY works. I like it! It's our favorite Safeway to go to now. Take the HINT Safeway ... wider lanes, and, cleaner stores work !!!

Nice quiet shopping center, next to large park.Clean store with wide aisles, great selection of grocery and produce items including organic as well as in store organic brand of a wide variety of items.Only downside is no pharmacy.

This is the new location in Petaluma. Overall, Safeway is my favorite grocery store. This location is well laid out and I can find 99.9% of what I'm shopping for. Their store brands are of equal or higher quality than the standard brands and can be significantly less expensive. This location has a huge selection of bulk items, meats (especially at the butcher counter), hot food items, deli items, bakery, produce, and dairy. I really enjoy the store brand sour dough loaf bread. Another good thing is that this store, being in a residential area and off the beaten path, is less busy than the other location.

They need to keep the express lanes open when everyone is shopping on their way home from work. Often only 2 lanes open filled with people doing weekly shopping as opposed to tonight's dinner and bottle of wine {thus no self checkout}.

Had a horrible experience with the deli today. Chick made our sandwiches wrong twice!!😡I usually give great reviews to all the Safeways I have visited. Today was terrible guys, I have to be honest. I think thie Safeway worker that tried to help me needs a little less responsibility and a lot more training.
