Mikes bikes Petaluma has by far the most friendly staff compared to other bike shops in town. genuine friendliness goes a long way. also its really nice to explore a vast selection of companies that AREN'T specialized. Ive purchased 9 bikes over the past 4 years and spent > $30,000 on bikes and gear in that time. Mikes bikes is the best place to spend that money lol...

I brough my bike into Mike’s Bikes to get my flat tires fixed and to learn about some basics. I planned my visit to coincide with the Tuesday free Tech Clinic. Megan was great. I asked a lot of questions and she answered them all patiently. She showed me how to take a tire off (front and back), how to remove the tube, what to look for, how to put it all back together and then I got to practice with her guidance. The staff was friendly, understanding and knowledgeable.

Wow, this is difficult to write because I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years and have bought multiple bikes from the Petaluma Store. Unfortunately they have forced me to go elsewhere for bike repair and also for my next bike purchase. The last two times I have been in for service, I have received my bike back with damage.The latest (just today) is 3 gouges in the top tube and a promise that "someone will call me soon" to paint over the damage. No apology from the store manager and it seemed as if they were avoiding telling me and hoping I wouldn't notice when I came to pick it up. This is no way to run a customer based business. There are many shops that can service and sell me a high end road bike. Bye Mikes Bikes.

Kids grow out of bikes so fast you don’t need a top of the line BMX. I took my bike in and they said they couldn’t fix it as in “tried” but did not have the skill they then recommended I should buy a new one. I like for my son to have quality and safe bikes but this seems to be a sales store not proper mechanics. Even just a regular guy like myself took 10 minutes to do what they said couldn’t figure out. Just a few Amazon parts and bike is back on the road.

I’m always taken care of at Mike’s Bikes Petaluma. Several times I have come in with a question or concern and have left with an answer or a part or a tweak, free of charge. I’m a former mechanic myself and when I have needed them to do work, I’ve always been impressed with the quality of their service both on the bike and to me as a customer.During Petaluma Ciclovía in July, the mobile van crew was handing out free snacks and drinks and doing checks for free. At the shop, Anthony ended up helping me adjust my SRAM AXS rear derailleur and now it runs to perfection. I can’t say enough good things about all the good people at this shop.

Had a bike packed in a box ready for shipping from this store. While it was a little pricey I definitely got my monies worth and the bike arrived in NJ in perfect shape. In fact I think it could have fallen off the truck and still arrived in the same condition given how secure everything was. Well done guys!!

We just had a stellar experience today with Lexie at Mike's Bikes. She was so knowledgable and super sweet and extremely personable. It didn't just feel like a transaction, it felt personal and kind. This is our second time buying a bike at Mike's and we will be back soon for our other kids new bike. Hopefully Lexie will be there to help us again!!

We had an equipment issue while traveling and stopped in this store. CHARLIE was excellent at helping us, and getting us back on the road soon. We really enjoyed the store, and if we were buying bikes, we would go here first for the selections and equipment. but the Service was truly great!!

Bought my Specialized Stump Jumper from Mike's over three years ago and purchased the maintnance plan at the same time. Best money ever spent. I bring my bike in regularly for tune ups and have twice done the Pro Tune. The shop mechanics and the Manager Jeff are AMAZING and have never had a problem with them. They are honest on what may need to be replaced on my bike, they never try to oversell anything, and care about you. Highly recommend Mike's Bikes of Petaluma.

Everyone was super helpful and friendly. I felt comfortable asking for a lock recommendation and they didn’t start by suggesting the most expensive lock possible, but discussed pros and cons with me. After finishing everything, they helped me figure out how to get the bike into my car without breaking the bike or my car. It was a very positive experience.

I don’t normally write multiple reviews for a business, but when the staff of Mike’s Bikes of Petaluma meets AND exceeds your expectations, I have to reiterate it. The customer-centric experience you get here is like going into Cheers—“where everybody knows your name”. And they do. Each time I’m there, they bend over backward to accommodate and hang the moon. And my bike is running super-smooth after they service it here. Two thumbs up, again!

Mike's Bikes sold me my Royal Dutch Gazelle Medeo T10+, and performs all maintenance on it. They know me by first name when I roll in (the guy in the yellow jacket who commutes four times a day past the shop), and they even call me a VIP, treating me with perfect respect, like family. Love my friends there. The Petaluma group are a great team. Always there for me. 🚴

I had a wheel break in the middle of the Marin Century that couldn’t be repaired in the field. The team at Mikes rushed to get me repaired, and I was able to get back and finish the ride! And they charged me an extremely reasonable price for all of it. Thanks to Lexi, Jeff, Finn, Emily, and the entire crew - it meant a lot to me to be able to finish the ride.

Austin and Jeff did a great job on a warranty claim. We’re able to get battery replaced on an e-bike and get it working better than the day I bought it. So nice, we bought our expensive Thule bike rack for e-bikes there as well. They will do our maintence on both our e-bikes from now on. Excellent customer service!

I love this Shop!The staff are extremely friendly and always greet you as you walk in .They never shy away from a long conversation about bikes or bike races .Jeff and Nick in the back are some of my favorite mechanics. Always willing to help you out in a bind. Jeff even stayed late to work on my bike because he knew I had a race that weekend .All around quality service and amazing staff. No better shtop in the area!

Small shop with poor costumer service skills. Didn’t t inform customer of their new no return or exchange EVER policy on “soft” goods. Yes, if I used the item but I literally got home and wanted to change color for same item not used from an hour before. Their receipt stated that there ARE returns on these items. So yes it’s a racket and definitely shop at a different store. Also, I wasn’t the only one there who was having issues. A women with here daughter were trying to pick up a “fixed” bike. But, the employee just said it needed to have more work done. She was like, “why did you leave a message with my son that it was ready to pick-up if it wasn’t ready?” They had their helmets on and want to go ride together. I asked if I could get a future store credit. nope. Very poor customer service. I will new buy anything from them again.

This is a great local shop. They have such knowledgeable and helpful staff that make sure you get what you need. They've upgraded my bike* from tube in to 2bliss and they've also made sure I only buy the accessories I really need. As a bicycle commuter I try to take care of my bike as much as possible and they help me stay on the road with fast repairs and reasonable prices for maintenance. Can't say enough about these peeps. The review your reading right now used to be a one star review. I want you guys to know that thanks to an employee named Tyler I was able to fix my problem in switching out my bike for a another. At first I wasn't able to do this because it's a policy the store has but again thanks to Tyler my problem was fixed he was very patient in the process to and he even told me that he feels bad that he can't do much because of the pandemic but he really wanted to fix problems and not create them but thanks to him I now have a good new point of view for this store and I hope you guys do to. And I would also like to thank the manager Jeff he totally got me and understood what I was going through and he let Tyler get the chance on helping me fix my problem and one last time thank you Jeff and Tyler. Also when you guys think on buying a bike for yourself or your family make sure to go to Mike's Bikes because if you have a problem they can fix it and also the bike younever knew you wanted.

Very disappointed in my overpriced Gazelle e-bike trouble-shooting which did not solve the noisy rattle that I asked them to resolve. So $100 later with zero explanation of what the service department did or find, the rattle returned less than a week later so I found a different bike shop to resolve. The local bike repair shop in Santa Rosa found it is a fork which wnet bad and needs to be replaced. I would never recommend Mikes bikes in Petaluma for any repairs.

The entire staff is very helpful and accommodating. Rafael made the entire process of getting my new stump jumper effortless.
