If you need a prescription filled, NEVER go to CVS, specially this one. I walked in to drop off a prescription I got at the ER and the technician didn’t even look at it and said that she wouldn’t accept it nor her pharmacist “AZI”I tried to show her the app on my phone from the hospital and yet didn’t care. So I called the hospital asking them to send it electronically and I was told they had to accept it. So the ER director gave CVS a call threatening them to take them to the board and when I was back the technician was still being rude and arrogant. The pharmacist said she going to fill it but I took it to Safeway instead. It’s so absurd to me that this workers don’t even the bare minimum which is customer service. And if you choose to work in this field, keep in mind that people that go to the pharmacy are sick and in pain. If you can’t be sympathetic or if you don’t care at all, I suggest you apply as a janitor at Walmart. That’s where you belong. How can you treat people like that and just turn them down like you don’t even care to listen? I hope you get fired, I truly do.CVS needs to hire better people.

After at least a dozen visits, my experience with CVS in Petaluma is the worst customer service I've ever seen. Employees sit in the back chatting together while 20 customers are waiting - they won't open another register. It's one of those places you can tell they feel like they feel adversarial towards the customers. As unhelpful and nasty as possible - and the consistency of this bad service is shocking - why doesn't management fix it?

** 2/16/24- just a note ** if you're picking up any scheduled RX, ie: Pain killers, benzos, needles, be prepared to show Gov. ID (with pic), or it's a no go.People, with do respect, most chain pharmacies have issues, especially with short staff/budget cuts and depends on the time you pick up RX's. Try to stay away during rush hours, daytime on weekends, and call first to check if it's ready. Most deliver using 3rd party. Being an ex- Pharmacy Tech, it's not an easy job. Lots of calls for refills, having to verify with DEA #'s and logging them, doctors calling in, people are sick, we have to check most of the RX's out. You must have a pharmacy tech license to be behind there and a pharmacist or Ph-Asst must be present. Even if a Ph-Tech fills the RX a Pharmacist must check and initial on the vile. Some are not feeling well and want in and out service. I would of loved to help at checkout, but that's corporate following the law. Take it up with them and complain directly to corporate to hire more staff.

I came into the store today and requested to see the manager. I got to speak to a staff member named Rick. I explained that the reading glasses (purchased for $32 from their store) had one of the arms come off due to a screw popping out (I brought it to an optician assistant on the other side of town but the solution wasn't as easy as replacing the screw due to the spring mechanism -- in other words, it's disposable now). Rick was happy to replace the glasses with a new one, citing "they aim to provide ease and customer satisfaction". I'm a happy camper! Thanks CVS!

Don't know, about low reviews, guess it depends on the time people visit. I only used pharmacy twice, it was fine, but I go at near closing time for them. *The CVS where I lived was open 24/7 and still had problems during the day. The rest of the store shopping here was a good experience. With most clerks it's a big turnover, they are young, or in school working part time, they move on or get fired. Try and go at night if possible.*One issue with self checkout, it's not available all hours and you can not check out alcohol or anything requiring ID.

What an absolute hole. I have NO idea why they keep this location open. Every shelf looks like it’s been ransacked and if you can even find a staff to help you out they say there’s no stock of anything! The website may say things are in stock too and they never ever were. Avoid

I shop at the McDowell St. (Petaluma) store about twice a month, and I really like the friendly and helpful employees, especially Troy. He is so nice and always ready to help me in the self checkout if needed (the software is glitchy and it never recognizes my shopping bag so Troy has to override it — please fix this as it is bothersome AND I am never going to pay for a CVS bag!) Troy is an excellent employee, he is always ready to help and very pleasant and kind. I do not use the Pharmacy, but I do occasionally have to ask where an item is located and the employees all seem helpful and nice:

I normally avoid going to this CVS at all costs, and today was yet another reminder of why. I asked an employee standing behind the front counter if this register was open, and he proceeded to say, “well you could do self checkout, but guess you’re here now…”Couldn’t believe he could be so rude and blatantly not want to do his job.

Husband is a dentist. Tried calling in a prescription for a patient in pain on a Friday night, prescription was for an antibiotic. Pharmacists would not take prescription over the phone and was incredibly rude. Her name was Azi.

I had a fine shopping experience, until I went to pick up my prescription. The pharmacy staff was disorganized and rude. Assisting customers was not their priority. They seemed irritated and bothered with each customer, and their job in general.

The pharmacy shows absolutely no concern for the sick, aged and disabled from what I see and experienced. There's 2 lines for drops and pick up, which is fine, but keep in mind those using the pharmacy are sick either acute or chronic. No one wants to be there. The lines are often long with the phone ringing off the hook, so very understaffed. There are no chairs near the line to sit even if someone is in so much pain they can hardly stand, waiting area not nearby. If you have to drop and pick you have to wait in 2 separate lines. They won't inform the other window even though they are just feet away from each other. I saw one poor man wait 4 people deep, leg bandaged, leaning on a cart to be able to stand, but he was in the wrong line and was told to go to the other line. They could have easily taken the script, asked him to wait in the waiting area, walk the script 5 feet, and call him when it was his turn, but this fella who could barely stand had to wait in another line, 4 people deep. I was in the correct line, pick up. I am a disabled senior with cancer and chronic pain. However, I had a new Rx insurance card, beginning of the year. I was told that to wait in the other line, too! I was in the correct line, but the staff was so poorly trained she couldn't enter a few new numbers. This stuff happens repeatedly there. I've written and called the home office who sound so concerned but nothing changes. I tried to talk to manager, who naturally was "unavailable" but his underling made it clear their process was more important than the customers. All they have to do to fix the problem is provide nearby sitting or ask the customer to wait in the waiting area where there are chairs and take care of the problem behind the counter, but they would rather treat the sick, injured and old like garbage than make a small change that would make a big difference to their customers. Although they are very close I am looking for a pharmacy who actually cares to transfer my scripts, because I feel they are so uncaring and disinterested although it's their job to help the sick.

I'm disgusted by the way your pharmacists are treating people. Her name is AZI something. She must hate being a pharmacist, because i have never encountered someone so mean and angry for no reason. She has zero patience if you have questions. My elderly mom asked me to go in with her this time because the pharmacist never have patience with her. SHE IS AN ELDERLY customer!!!! HOW DARE YOU TO MISTREAT HER LIKE THIS? You can see the anger in this woman's eyes!!!! Please find more caring people to work. Please also tell her that greeting people is part of her job, because in the end of the day, ITS HER JOB aka CUSTOMER SERVICE! Plain nasty and upsetting!! WALGREENS FOR ME IT IS!!!

The best pharmacy ever! There's a Young pharmacist named Azi. She is the best, Most caring pharmacist I have ever seen. I was so desperate and confused when I met her, but She was very patient and understanding. I could see how short staffed and busy they are. But, She made time for me and filled My prescription so Fast. I Choose this pharmacy only because of Azi. She has to be appreciated. Thanks for everything.

Had a misunderstanding after being told the incorrect price on passport photos over the phone. Double checked with staff on the price as they were taking the photos, and the correct price was only revealed after the photos had been taken. This is annoying, but isn't all that big a deal, mistakes happen. However, when speaking to the manager, he was rude, disrespectful and didn't apologize for his staffs mistake. He did eventually give us the price we had been quoted over the phone but said repeatedly that the store is not responsible for information staff gives out over the phone and he was honoring that from his own benevolence rather than any sort of personal integrity or belief in his stores reputation.I'd recommend going to a different pharmacy

Good experience with pharmacy staff, nice and kind people. Stayed 15 mins after their closing time and helped me out. Will definitely come back again. Thank you Suzy and Chris, they both went above and beyond.

called to give a new RX was on hold 1 hour 5 minutes. Hung up & called the manager. He took a message. Unbelievable. I called back left RX on voicemail. Hopping our patient can get the RX in a timely manner. Horrible.

No Cashiers, you have to use self checkout. No structure to forming orderly lines to access the two machines. Not realizing the situation, I asked for a checker and was rudely directed to the machines.

I was waiting on the drop off window to get a new prescription and I waited for like 3-5 minutes asking for help and the people on the farmacy didn't helped me insted they started helping other people when I went on the pick up window they sent me to the constitution window and then they helped me.Update: I just realized that I was without mask so that was probably why. My bad I was in a hurry and I foegot my mask.

The pharmacy staff are the worst!! Went there to get medicine today and they made it impossible. Walk out of there with no medicine and frustrated. Never going back, probably the worst experience I have had in years here in Petaluma. Not worthy of one star!!!

Heads up people. If your insurance does not cover your prescriptions they will NOT allow you to pay cash for them. They stated they are a NO CASH pharmacy.
