Bought some squid for a Rock crabbing trip and a snare here. Awesome experience and very helpful people. As you can see the trip was successful, 10/10 will buy more squid here again. We threw back the dungeness (out of season) and yes that hurt a little.

You like fishing? OFCOURSE you do cause you like people well this place the place for us. I been coming here for years! It has the best tackle that has purpose everything you see you can catch something on. If you can't then .. well I don't know pick a new fishing hole cause it's not the tackle! They have anything you can dream up for fishing tackle, ANYTHING ! If they don't have it then guess what... YOU DONT NEED IT! But seriously this guy has a spot for people with their boats and everything he has thought of it all and the only reason there is 1 is to regulate all the people ! Otherwise it be CRAZY BUSY. Ok in all seriousness the live bait selection is better and there are more options then anywhere else I have been they have Grass shrimp, Pile worms, Bullheads, Freshwater Minnows, Nightcrawlers, Mudsuckers & Ghost Shrimp when in season and that season is now ! their fridged and frozen baits are killer also I never leave without a pack or 2 of squid but honestly so many I can't even list em but if you call yourself an angler or fisherman and haven't been here your not! Yall gotta check this place out and don't let the grizzled man behind the counter fool ya .. he a a friendly guy 100% he has always had an answer to any question I might have honestly 10/10 place for people that like fishing.

Some of the nicest people I've run into in quite a while. Knowledgeable, professional, and helpful The staff are excellent. Reminds me of that family run shop I use to go to in Tracy. Scotties Bait and Tackel. Stop by on your way in you won't be sorry.

This place has always been great. Been shopping here whenever I go fishing since I needed a license. Cheapest day licences for fishing in Petaluma. Super knowledgeable staff. If they don't have something you need to fish the local area you don't need it. Great bait selection. They even sell beer for your last minute bait and go. Highly recommended for rook fisherman like myself and professionals. They have all kinds of goodies for the avid angler. Stop by and check it out. You won't be disappointed.

This place is awesome!! My wife and I wanted to try salmon fishing but didn't know what gear to use. We stopped by Bodega Tackle and asked for help. They gave us suggestions on what to use. Worked great! We caught ocean salmon the next day.

I used to stop in here all the time when it was Scotty's. This was my first trip today and I will never return. The 2 young people working were less than helpful and the young man was just plain rude. Such a bummer when it had such a great reputation

The guys at the counter were Rude and not very helpful the only reason i used to come here is because I lived close by. You would think with owning a tackle shop you would at least be able to tackle easy questions about recommended fishing spots in the area but you would be wrong.

Place has everything except knowledge on where to go fishing, I say this cause it’s my first time in Petaluma and I wanted to try fishing, I bought $18 of worms and asked where a good spot to go is, she sent me to this pond at some park I paid $7 bucks to park, 10 minutes to walk from the parking lot to find a pond that barely had water in it, if you’re selling bait and tackle, I would think you would know where and where not to go fishing. I was a bit ticked off, on that note I give it a 1 star, as for having supplies, I would give it a five. Also anything I asked her she would reply with sarcasm, I laughed it off at first, but then it got annoying. Oh well, u live and u learn. I just wanted to find a nice place to fish and phone service was bad out there so google maps didn’t help much.

Bodega Tackle has just what you wanted or forgot, to have a successful & productive adventure. Tackle & Equipment selection is excellent and they have great bait and friendly service. BT is a great & eazy stop to get what you need especially if going to Bodega. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!!! They open at 5am

When you walk in your greeted by 2 rude, unmasked gentlemen that care nothing for you like Scotty did. Scottys use to be a community based shop and now these new guys are standoffish and couldn't even catch a cold. They even took down all the old pictures of everyone. Worst bate shop in Sonoma County by far.

Ever since they got new owners, things changed. Service is not as friendly. When I pulled into to park early one day, the owner had the nerve to stare me down for some reason until he realized I came to shop with him.If you want unfriendly service, then come here.

I used to go here to get bait when it was Scott's, then Fish Heads, but the new owner and the lady who are always standing out front seem to care more about smoking than selling fishing supplies.No wonder Connie quit.

It's a scam, if I could give a zero I would! I went in to buy something and they kept trying to sell me things they don't even have. I started to question the guy, and he had no answers. Absolutely horrible, do not go here!!!
