Stihl repairs are garbage.Repairman makes excuses for his poor work and lies above the options of what they could have done. Management woke and doesn't like their employees called idiots. They would rather not solve the problem and instead waste our time.

My husband and I have been renovating our house for some time. Lately, we are to the point where it's such a drag to do projects around the house. More needs done but we are not feeling it. However, every once in a while we get a burst of energy and excitement for what the result of a certain project could be, and True Value is our first go to choice for our home projects needs. Thus far, everyone has been friendly and helpful.

Huge store (3 areas side by side, plus a fence store around the corner). have about everything you could need. Not cheap, but convenient! Hardware, patio, trees and plants, etc. Well staffed, but not super knowledgeable, like some smaller stores. If you know what you want, you’ll probably find it here. Very nice staff and ample parking. There’s a pretty good Mexican food truck there too 😋5/1/2020. Wow, called about John Dear lawnmower pricing. They match HD and delivered it 4 hours later! I didn’t even leave my house. Talk to Bob. Awesome service!!!

Thank goodness for True Value in Penn Valley! They have EVERYTHING you need for whatever house project you’ve got going. The staff is super helpful and friendly.

It is all right really expensive and really good now they have a lot of stuff but it's good price they have a lot of stuff that's really expensive and some things that aren't so expensive some things that are high quality very high quality send things that aren't very good quality at all in some that are just right so you should be able to find what you want just depends on what quality you're looking and how much you want to spend but if you want to spend a little on high quality or spend a lot on some low quality if your spot

Visited store for the first time as a new resident in Penn Valley I was impressed with merchandise presentation and overall standards within the physical plant of the store. The only negative was I thought we were a member but apparently not I would have liked the opportunity to sign up.Keep up the good work.It's doing well great standards.Great store!

Always my “go to” store. But today was over the top excellent customer service. A long time ago I purchase a can of spray paint and yesterday I finally started my paint project. I got half way finished when the can stopped spraying. I called Vanessa at True Value and she checked for the odd ball, random color- she was polite, enthusiastic and even called me back once she found it. While on the phone with her she said “bring in the defective can and we will exchange it”. Wow! I knew I didn’t have the receipt since I procrastinated so long doing my project. When I arrived at the store she had the cans at the front register and was again super helpful and pleasant. The staff are always helpful and nice but yesterday Vanessa went above and beyond. Thank you!

Very friendly staff. Great small community lumber yard with plenty of our needs. Almost like a mini Target. You may pay a little bit more for some things but it saves you the drive to the city. Very easy access and parking.

Great hardware store but the power center I feel ripped me off took my sthil in for repair got it back it wouldn't start .the fuel lines were switched it wouldn't run for them or me like that told manager Pete that I wanted a refund on the labor he said no way and said have a nice day as he was locking the gate I hate to give a bad review your store is great but Pete in the power center needs to have some respect for your customers I'm out 35.00 on labor I won't go back as long as Pete's your manager

This is the best hardware store in Nevada County, for 2 main reasons. Since I'm in the middle of another remodel, I make A LOT of hardware store runs.First, the customer service is unbeatable. There seem to be as many employees walking around looking to help you as there are customers, which is so rare these days in hardware stores! All the employees I've interacted with are friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Some of the best customer service I've had anywhere, ever.Second, the selection at this store is impressive for it's size. Several times now I've searched for items at the 2 larger hardware stores and a specialty store in Grass Valley with no luck, only to find that Penn Valley True Value carried it all along.

Friendly staff, but store policy regarding rewards is rediculously short. After spending a lot of money at this store for the last couple years, I earned a $10 off reward. You only get 30 days to redeem the rewards. That is not very customer friendly, and it makes it hard to support local stores if they are that stingy. In the future, I will have to weigh my options before shopping again at the PV True Value store.

I just moved and lost a bolt needed to assemble my bed, They had what I needed. I also need it pads for under Furniture so they don't damage the floor, they had a decent selection.

Decent hardware store have most of everything and a stihl saw shop place is a little but on the pricey side but it’s close and convenient. It’s busy there a lot and there is a taco truck most days
