Food is delicious and fresh we got two hard tacos combination, rice and beans was delicious. Everything what we got was delicious even there jalapeños and spicy sliced carrots. It wasn’t a lot of money. They have a lot of different foods, the lady took our order was very nice and professional. Thanks.Vegetarian options: They sell Bean and cheese burritos, et al.

Wanted to stop at this little taco spot for years! I should have done this YEARS AGO!We waitedout front on the picnic benches, enjoying the fresh air and the views.Met Many people that were locals that told us this is the Best Around!We Agree! My husband's burrito was delicious (he didn't want a picture of him with food in his mouth), I just wanted you to see the size of it!!! He just couldn't finish it! Can't wait to go back!!

This is one of the best Mexican food places I have eaten at in a really long time. I really don't eat at places like this for the simple reason that I was raised eating Mexican food and can make it cheaper than I can buy it. The portions were large and had a lot of meat. The prices were extremely reasonable for the amount of food we received. Our food came quickly, and the bathrooms were very clean. I would give more stars if I could. Will definitely go back.

Quick stop on our way to Julian and so happy we did! The food is fresh and delicious… assuming yet perfect. We had both soft and hard tacos… the chicken soft with avocado and lime juice was incredible. Not only would I go back - any future trip to San Diego must include this on the itinerary! Yummmmm

Definitely a good, solid choice for Mexican food. Nothing fancy, just quality food at a fair price. If you happen to ride a motorcycle, and are enjoying a ride along the 76, drop by and have a bite. You won’t be disappointed.

OMG!!! The food here is OUTSTANDING!!! So authentic and fresh and the portions are huge! All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming…we had the crispy beef tacos and shredded chicken burrito. Refried beans are so good we got an extra side to take home. I’m going to literally have to go back tomorrow, the Machaca burrito was so flavorful! Serving sizes are very generous and salsas are absolutely delicious!!!This is one of the only delicious restaurants for MILES! Definitely stop here when you’re in Pauma Valley.

Great place to go after hiking Palomar mountain state park. We tried California burrito and beef tacos which were decent in size and with great taste. Outdoor seating is a plus for people want to dine outside.

We have been passing this lil spot for the last 4 years. In to much of a hurry to get to the casino. Then on the way home were broke and just want to get home. However today we made the time and boy was it worth the stop. The young man that helped us was super friendly and assured us we would be back. I had a breakfast burrito and my wife had a chili realino burrito with a Pepsi and a Monster. At most places a b fast burrito for $10.50 is average in taste and size. This However tasted pretty damn good with lots of meat not just stuffed with potatoes like most others. Im a big guy and I was hungry and I only got thru half of it. As did my wife. We both took half home and were able to have it as a meal later. They have a good salsa bar as well. I definitely recommend and we will be stopping there for sure.

Just okay.For starters on the positive, parking is super easy, they have a really nice covered patio to eat at with plenty of tables, the restaurant was clean, and the self-serve salsa bar was excellent. Prices were insanely good. $11 for a giant meal.BUT THE FOOD WAS BEYOND SALTY. As someone that cooks, I don’t know how it could possibly have been so salty unless a mistake was made. I got the carne asada burrito and…it was tasty. Tasted of salt. I did manage to eat it all and the meat itself was tender and the burrito was stuffed to the max. But I just couldn’t get passed how salty it was.The gal working the counter wasn’t overly friendly either and seemed rushed. And the food was slow coming out.I’m willing to try it again and see if it was a one-time mistake or if that’s just how the food is made.

We stop here whenever we drive to Julian from greater LA. usually a late breakfast/early lunch.The food has been without fail excellent. Highly recommend the chile rellanos.One word tho- HUGE. Their portions are easily splittable between two. Trick is agreeing on what one wants to split.I think you’ll enjoy jilbertos.

Food is awesome. Salsa is amazing. Sleepy little place you might skip past but don’t! It’s dark inside but fits the overall vibe. Nothing fancy just big portions of good solid authentic tasting food. Taco salad with chicken was delish. So much chicken that was moist and tasty. Not the norm these days where it’s mostly lettuce.12 thumbs up from our group of 6!

This place/food is seriously average, at best.The only reason it's even in business is because it's literally the only food option around the area except for the casino garbage.I'd rather eat at Taco Bell; their food is cheaper and the hot sauce packets are much tastier and spicier than the junk Jilbertos has.If you're driving by and are hungry, this place is good enough...nothing more.

My wife and I visited recently and had a great experience. The food was delicious, but the service was amazing as well, shout out to Jonathan working up front, taking both our orders very professionally and promptly. Jonathan greets all customers walking in and made my wife and I feel like top priority. In a world where it's hard to find decent service this young man hands down delivered and we will both definitely be coming back to eat here regularly.
