Great customer service in the reception area! Truthful and transparent in an environment where most animal industry treatment centers are just unreasonable! L.A. County tax and elected oversight politicos just never get enough and have created am almost vacant business environment, on another note we need to support local shops and offices, globalization is a money grab, but man's best friend is as loyal as they get!Looking forward to having a meathead, I meant Apple head chihuahua in for some teeth and tartar cleaning!

The wait time was a little long; I was expected to be seen at 10 am, but had to wait until 10:40 to see the vet despite having an appointment.Aside from that, I have no serious complaints. I'm mainly giving 5 stars because the affordability was worth it. I scheduled an appointment for an exam and 2 shots (rabies and FVRCP) for my cat. The total came to about $100. I previously called another animal hospital for a price quote, and they told me that it would cost $1900 JUST for the FVRCP vaccine. Crazy!The only one who probably has a bad complaint is my cat, who became very upset with me for taking her to the vet to get her shots.

The staff were all very kind and patient with me~ it had been a while since I had taken my cat to the vet and they took such good care of her, and didn't freak her out at all. The doc was also very kind and honest, they won't try to sell you things/tests you don't need, I really appreciate that transparency. So happy I found the perfect vet for my fur baby!

A great place to take your best friends. Everyone there I met was helpful and genuinely seen to care about my girl Spirit. Been coming here for a few years now. This time they said they were pretty booked but they were able to get me in the morning after I called.I'm really happy with how they've been dealing with COVID. They have a super smooth system where they take your pet inside and while the vet is with your pet they call you to let you know what's going on. As usual my cat got exceptional care and a quick prescription for an oral medication to alleviate his symptoms.

I've taken my puppy, Eddie here for 2 visits to get all updated with his shots. The nurses are very nice and adore Eddie. The main doctor is friendly and very thorough. I would definitely recommend anyone here, who is searching for a vet.

I'm reviewing my recent call 120516I called for an appointment for my dog and everything great. I then called to cancel my appointment because it turned out I did not have to take my dog in. What bother me is that Denise who took my call was short with me. I was explaining to her why I was cancelling my appointment and she did not seemed interested. She just cut me off and said it was fine. I understand if she's busy but she could have used her customer service skills instead of the way she handle it. I miss Scott the previous front desk person. He really was great. I have five dogs which I bring into the this office and you would think they would treat me better. Oh well, they might not need my business. Not happy with todays experience.

My cat is a new patient at this wonderful animal hospital! Dr. Cailleteau saw "Tofu" the same day I called! He was very gentle and kind with her. He followed up with test results ASAP. I will be bringing her back again, as well as my other two cats! The ladies at the front desk, and the nurse were also very nice! So happy to have a new vet for my 'babies'! :)

The worst vet I met. Unprofessional at all. The medicine the doctor given to my dog for the skin issue causing my dog gastric ulcer and anemia.

I brought one of my cats here for an eye infection. The staff along with the doctor were helpful and cordial. My cat's eye was almost 100% better after a week. I definitely recommend these folks.

If your pet is seriously ill, do not come here. No sense of urgency at all. My dog died waiting for all their tests...test after test and days after days and so much money for their tests. I killed my dog by trusting this place. It's my fault I went to them and didn't realize they have no sense of urgency regarding onset of illness.

I was disappointed that i never got to speak to the doctor. Last year when covid started my dog went in and i got a call to discuss him. Not this year. the staff was very nice and i am sure they took good care of my furry family member, but not the same when you can't ask direct questions

All the staff and Dr. Cailleteau are always so wonderful and sweet with our two big pups. We started going to Sierra Madre Animal Hospital about a year ago. Our Neapolitan Mastiff who had had an ear infection that 2 other different vets had not been able to treat properly over 6 months. Dr. Cailleteau nailed the proper treatment down immediately and then helped us quickly address a couple more minor skin issues over the course of the year following. We're so glad we found this amazing place! Highly recommended for your fur babies... :)

I am very sad and disappointed of the customer service from Dennis, and the Vet did not even introduce himself when he came inside. My puppy was already been seen for another vet one week ago ( he told me that she was very healthy that I need it to wait a little for her vaccine), she had diarrea for 4 days getting adjust to new puppy food, and the only thing that he was worried was her vaccinations, she is only closed to 2 months. I not coming back to this office, and I don't recommend this place at all.

The reception staff greeted me very well and attended me ever so quickly it being a holiday (MLK). The wait was less than 10 minutes and i was called in to see the veterinary technician. The vet tech was very thorough and gave me some helpful information & recommendations for my dogs diet to maintain a healthy weight for her age.Thank you and see you soon for any of the other vaccinations may need.Jaime Sahagun

My cat was dx with asthma years ago when breathing issues started, however the vet I was seeing wanted me to pay for a whole new visit and lab work every time she needed a prednisone refill (monthly). I get why youd do this in 3-6mos because of the medication, but that's not what was happening, just a weird way of scamming someone desperate. So I took her to another vet who only does cats. They dont seem be believe cats even get asthma so didnt help (thats just wrong).Finally couldnt stand by and nervously hear my cat struggle to breathe anymore without doing anything and found this vet by my neighbors recommendation. It's a drive for me but I'm so happy I found them. Dr C is awesome, cares about animals, and will tell you what he's thinking and explain your options (I'm a student so might not be immediately able to throw money at the most thorough option but can keep it in mind for the future). My cat's breathing a lot better now and while she still has some other stuff going on (that or she's just a weirdo in middle age) im not nervous about going to the vet anymore and not getting helped.Recently my cat needed some follow up tests and in quarantine I was stuck a few hours drive away. The drive was still worth it and dr c was helpful in figuring out what to do for my cat in terms of her medicine when I'm farther away. I think even after the pandemic if I ever moved farther away I'd still make the drive.Front desk staff is also always helpful too!

Do not use this vet. The office is unorganized and does not care about your pet’s health.My dog’s rabies vaccine was lapsed for more than a year. I did not know until I switched to a new vet that it had lapsed, and that my dog was unprotected. A lazy receptionist “misinput” the due date for the vaccine for three years instead of one. I had paid for two vet visits in the meantime, where the vet told me everything was all good. Totally unacceptable.Update: The vet called to apologize, and he refunded me the wellness exam he administered while the vaccine was lapsed. He also offered to do her rabies vaccine for free.

I didn't have many problems here at first. It was adequate, though I thought the Dr. and some of the staff could do a better job of letting a snippy dog warm up before coming in all business and grabbing him. But it was fine. However, I lost trust in the place and the doctor's knowledge of medications. One time when discussing allergy meds, I mentioned another brand that I used to give and he said "Oh Tavist D?" Most people that know anything about pet allergy meds, know that you cannot give a dog any OTC med that has the decongestant or D ingredient in there. So that made me nervous, hope he never told another patient it was ok. Then another time I was there for a steroid shot for allergies, and they kept insisting that I do the DHPP vaccine even though it wasn't due for a month and I usually do it with the bordatella. They said that I couldn't do the Bordatella yet but it was fine to do the DHPP. I said i was only worried about the allergies for now and didn't want a cross reaction. They were pushy and said it was fine. Come to find out when I googled the steroid, that you never give a vaccine with a steroid because the whole purpose of a steroid is to suppress the immune response, so it makes it ineffective. When I moved a little further away and my dog needed another allergy shot and I couldn't get in, I ended up calling other vets who both told me that steroids and vaccines together are no nos and that it was wrong to do them together. They also recommended a new allergy shot called Cytopoint with less side effects than steroids, especially for an older dog. So I left SMAC. I just don't trust their knowledge on drugs. Dog is doing much better with the cytopoint.
