Glad I stopped by. A very well maintained shop. Relatively new at just 1 1/2 years as of Feb 24.Every tank was clean and healthy fish and inverts.They really have maximized the space and it seems like every tank has a unique species.I really want to start up a saltwater tank again after visiting here. I've already picked out a few items. The rainbow anemone and an electric clay for sure!They have some freshwater tanks, Vampire crabs, frogs, horseshoe crabs etc!!!Oh and they are super nice too.Take all my money!

I have to say that Art's fish store is a one-of-a-kind. What stood out to me was how healthy the fish he kept looked and how well everything is taken care of. On top of that, just his super welcoming and warm demeanor from him and his staff. This store is top-notch! I am happy to hear that the store will be expanding, which is a plus because he carries all kinds of salt water and fresh water fish and will soon be carrying reptiles!What makes him stand out from the other pet fish stores, is he is truly in it for the hobby and not the money. And it shows! I really like going there. Highly recommend.

With a large variety for all types of salt water healthy livestock, I purchased several fish, invertebrates and always good advice and information come along with every purchase. Art is a funny and easy going person, Loves to have conversations with customers and is extremely helpful with any questions you have. All his tanks in the shop are extremely clean and clear. His prices are much better than most shops out there. Highly recommend.

Art is the man! He’s in a cool spot in North Pasadena. He sells high quality tropical fish and coral. If you are into reefing you have to hit up Art’s spot because the shops always carrying the best clown fish, tangs, butterflies and all the rest of the best reef goodies around.

Must start by saying the shop is extremely clean and very well organized. Art is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The store has a great selection of corals and salt water fish, not to mention the great prices. If you’re looking to start an aquarium or already have one, this is definitely the go to store. I have found a great store with an owner that takes great passion in what he does and most importantly enjoys interacting with his customers. Highly recommend.

Art’s Underwater Reef has a variety of exclusive fish and corals at a reasonable price. Art keeps the store at a very cool temperature making it an excellent experience for everyone to purchase or simply browse without feeling like your in a stuffy humid closed in location. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and offer advice and guidance on setting up or adding to your tank. It’s just amazing to visit these guys any time I need anything for my saltwater tank. I have had many great experiences at Art's Underwater Reef. I found the store just after I finished cycling my first saltwater tank. I have had many freshwater tanks over the years and still do, but saltwater and reef tanks are a different level. I needed help, advice and compassion.Art is very helpful, completely compassionate and gives great advice and guidance. My reef tank is doing great. I have purchased many fish and corals from Art and use his shop as my #1 source, even though other shops are closer and bigger. Art is the most helpful owner I have worked with and he has a wonderful selection.Art even helped me nurse a sick fish back to health. I bought a Copper band butterfly from him and two weeks later brought it back near death. He had been intimidated by my tang and wasn't eating. When I walked through the shop doors I thought my fish had died on the way there. He was lying lifeless at the bottom of the bag. Art took him and nursed him back to health. I couldn't believe it when he called and said the fish was alive and doing well. Unbelievable!!I am so grateful that I found Art's shop. I am a loyal customer and plan to keep it that way for years to come!

I purchased a few corals and creatures to start my own reef at home. All questions were answered to provide the best care for my creatures. Recently got back into the reef aquarium hobby after taking a 10 year hiatus and am super glad I stumbled upon Art and his awesome shop! Having a local fish store that you can rely on for advice as well as carrying or even finding fish for you that you’re looking for just makes the whole reef keeping experience that much better. Art's Underwater Reef is the best! It is very clean and well organized and has a great selection of merchandise at very reasonable prices. Art, the owner, has put a lot of thought and effort into the design, set up of the tanks, and overall operation. That meticulous attention to detail sets him apart from many others. Art has a wealth of knowledge and experience that he is willing and ready to share with anyone paired with an outgoing, sincere, and cordial personality. He even offers a free cold bottle of water! Whenever you have a choice between another place and this one, choose here!Art is so wonderful. I’ve had quite the saga with my Betta - long story short, he was sick for a while with a lot of stuff going on. The third time I came back in Art had special ordered me a different medication and gone half crazy trying to figure out how to get a hold of me. I am so grateful for his help and genuine care for what he does and my little fish too.

This aquarium place is the best I’ve ever been to thus far, It’s small but when you walk in it’s amazing, the knowledge and kindness the worker is so patient and explains whatever you need answers to. He also goes beyond to anything you might need, he does not have fresh water tanks, but upon request will get you any fresh/salt water fish you would like. There is never a I can’t get that fish moment with this shop.
