Hi there I am the new manager of Another Chance thrift store. please come out and see all the changes made to the store. We accept donations Tuesday thru Saturday from 10:30 to 2:30. We have a wide variety of household goods, collectibles, name brand clothes, at a reasonable price, flash sales, and friendly staff members. We are a non-profit with all of our proceeds going to our local cat sanctuary. All proceeds stay local and help local communities. Come out and see what is new. NO more urine smells.

So, I am a little biased on this review as I worked a part-time job here. The manager, Shannon, is great both with employees and customers.Their mission to help their community thru, providing reused clothes and other household items for their customers as well as adopting out cats from their sanctuary. They're a nonprofit company. They have 25% off sales every Wednesday and 50% every last Saturday of the month. Lots of great finds. Check it out for yourself.

A really great thrift shop that you need to go and check it out in Palo Cedro, called Another Chance. There's a whole store of items that you can purchase for any thing you need for your home. Also clothing, glass ware and loads of books to check out. Overall it's quite a great place! All the money you spend there goes to the animal shelter!

When coming to Palo Cedro I always stop and take a look at what they have in their donation thrift store. I had stopped by around 2:40pm and knowing the store will be closing at 3pm. I was outside looking at what was on the racks, two people came out of the store and started to take things in, so I walked away, because the women looked at me very strangely, she did not say a word to me if they were closing early. There was 10 minutes left before 3:00pm. I had noticed they locked the doors and shut off the open sign. So called and asked why they were closing so early, the women said she had help there and she wanted the other employee to take things in so she would not have to left anything. I asked to speak with a manager, and she responded that she was the manager. She talked over me, and she kept raising her voice giving all kinds of excuses to why she was closing early, which made me raise my voice. So, I hung up.This place has really gone downhill really. What they sell there are clothes that should be recycled or thorn away. Everything is in bad shape. And, the people who work there are very rude. Not at all friendly.

If you can deal with the smell of cat pee, the thrift store part has a wide verity of items with great prices. Lots of books. Normaly no furniture. Its very small and not a lot of room. Ladies are very slow but extremely nice.

I love Another Chance. The thrift store is small but they have lots of things in it. I bought a couple of warm coats for the winter. Great prices. I got my kitty there and it is so much fun to see the little ones.

This thrift store has a wide variety of items for very reasonable prices. The staff are all volunteers and all of the money raised is to rescue and save animals. Please consider donating your gently used items to this great thrift store, and while you are dropping off your donations, spend a little time shopping. You won't be disappointed! And if you are considering adopting a family member pet, this is the place to go. They have so many beautiful animals that desperately need homes. And remember, when you adopt a pet, you are really saving two lives, because when one animal is adopted, there is room for another to come into the shelter.Their ultimate goal is to have a no-kill shelter. PLEASE help!

I am incredibly disappointed by this animal rescue. We were informed that they were bringing us a kitten and doing a home inspection. We live a little bit off placer and once she arrived she left the kitten in the car for a good 15 mins(the car was not running) and then rushed out of our home saying they had other houses to interview. Upon asking them what happened we were told they were scared the cat would get let out. Which would never happen. They are more than picky on whom they choose to allow to adopt. I would say they are bias and judgmental. Please do not rescue your animal from here, they will break your family's heart.

We adopted the most adorable cat from Another Chance. He was in excellent condition and I really approve of the income visits they make. The animals they care for are lucky to be in their facility.

Fun place with great prices good selection of miscellaneous used goods... and many things are in excellent condition overall! Very friendly people and there are some good surprises of waiting for you if you take the time to poke around.. my friend said that they even have dog food there but you have to ask for it. I always stop by if I'm in the area you might want to as well.

This rescue has severely degraded.4 and a half years ago I adopted a small dog, and the people were amazing, they were kind, on top of things, and eager and happy to help me adopt an animal in need to a loving home. These last 3 weeks have sorely, sorely disappointed me.A friend of mine was interested in a dog for himself, as an emotional support animal, so the apartment he lives in would allow him to have said dog. Calling the rescue, the first dog he was interested in was an ordeal:He contacted the rescue, and spoke to the foster mom of the dog, who was just as friendly and wonderful as would be expected, and everything was looking good as far as meeting the dog and the adoption process.ESA Animals have to be certified through the online Service Animal Registry of America; which is a spendy process unique to each animal. The apartment would not let him have to dog until proof of the ESA certificate, and proof of the vaccination records for the dog were shown to them. This rescue was entirely unwilling to hold onto this little dog, whom my friend had bonded with, for the three days needed for shipping on the certificate and ESA gear. So we tried again with another dog. This second dog had been in foster care for 3 years due to her special needs, and my friend immediately fell in love with her. His whole situation was perfect for her needs, and she was everything he needed her to be.Upon contacting the rescue again, the staff was terse and gave the impression they were annoyed with my friend's call. However it was determined that he would be approved for adoption, and this was confirmed by the rescue to him via phone call.So the ESA package was ordered, and the certificate presented to the apartment manager, and all that was left to do was for the rescue to call the apartment manager, confirm verbally that my friend was approved to have the dog there, fax the vaccination records, and then inspect his living space. Then the dog could be paid for and papers signed.3 weeks of calling and asking if the person from this rescue has called the manager of the apartments like she said she would. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And finally, today, my friend received an email informing him that he has been deemed unsuitable for the dog.I find this whole scenario extremely maddening, wholly unprofessional, and absolutely ridiculous. I will never recommend this rescue to anyone for anything.Horrible customer service, and I find that in of itself astounding. If you are in the business of saving animals and finding them safe, loving homes, I expect decent communication, follow through with set appointments, proper facilitation of the adoption process, and certainly not the rude behavior exhibited. Just wow...

Very unprofessional company for adopting pets... It stinks badly like cat pee. Also, they make it very hard to adopt pets. They make you do an application and don't get back to you for a very long time.Do they want the pets to go to a good home?I don't recommend this company.

They don't respond and when they do they were pretty rude. You'd think they would want to find their cats homes but doesn't really seem that way.
