Love my neighborhood pet store! We come weekly for bathes and love seeing the staff’s smiling faces when we come in. They’re quick to offer my dog a treat and check in on how she’s doing. The team is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares for their customers. The store is well stocked, clean and has good hours. (My dog looks sad here but she looks sad during every bath. At least here we have space to wash and dry her!!) thanks pet food express team!!

Dog wash station is the coolest thing! Visited the Pal Alto location clean store. Able to give dog a full wash and dry bath in a tub with all supplies needed on hand.

Got my rescue dog vaccinated here and staffs were so helpful and caring.I recently rescued a 60lbs dog who is reactive so I had difficulty bring him to the vet. I talked to the staff before signing up for vaccination service with some doubts but they were able to give him all the care that he needed. I was so touched by how caring and understanding they were towards my dog. Thank you so much!

A generally comprehensive inventory and the staff are very helpful and positive. Several times they have opened boxes or removed tags to fit collars, harnesses, or recovery suits. Competitive prices. Unfortunately they don't offer the particular pet food formulations we require.

Employees are always so friendly. Great selection of treats, easy to find and well organized. We have used the self-service dog wash a few times, and I think it works great. Just try to remember to brush your pup out before going (we keep making the mistake of not!).

This is hands down the best pet store I’ve ever been to! My puppy loves coming in as all the staff shower him with love, and they’ve helped me find his favorite treats and even thrown in some for free. Definitely the only pet store we’ll go to around here!

This place is the best, full stop. They have a sign posted on the window detailing their commitment to your pet. They maintain very high standards and are responsive to customer concerns. Besides all that, they offer a great discount: buy 3, get 1 free! I'm not sure if there are any restrictions on that offer, but I've never run into any. Finally, their customer service is amazing. Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and helpful and they are all pet lovers. Love this place.

Incredibly helpful staff!!! We entered the store with a newly adopted puppy that wasn't well behaved. Liam and Sam taught us some helpful tricks for keeping our pup distracted while they helped us find all the supplies we needed. They were both very knowledgable about all the products in the store and helped my partner and I understand what options we had and what kinds of things we should watch out for since our pup has a pretty strong jaw. They gave us information about dog trainers in the area, and also showed us some basic training strategies for getting our dog's attention while in a place with a ton of distractions. Couldn't have asked for more -- so thrilled to have found this store with such wonderful employees!!

Clean and friendly. Lots of high end food gear and toys but also lots of great discounts on the clearance table.Great DIY pet wash stations that run long enough for me to wash two 60 lb dogs. I believe its 15 mins..and soap towels and waterproof bib in the $18 price

Pet Food Express is awesome! They carry top quality brands at reasonable prices; the staff are smart, helpful, happy and full of good suggestions and advice. They support animal rescue adoptions on site in weekends, too! They offer solid discounts and promotions, and are considerate when you need to exchange or return a product.

Great pet store. My dogs love going there. Staff very helpful & friendly. They gave me a small bag of new dog food as a sample to see if my pup Pecan would like it. Pecan is a 13y/o kidney cancer survivor who has become picky about eating so I'm trying new foods to see if they increase his appetite. I also bought a nice toy for my 25y/o cockatiels and a ball for my big dog Bunny. We weighed both of the dogs too.

The staff is super knowledgeable about all the products they stock and will give you honest reviews and recommendations. Of all the pet stores, I would 100% choose Pet Food Express. Melissa was super sweet and offered multiple alternatives when the cat food I usually pick was out of stock for the day. (I'm sorry if this is not her name, I'm really bad with names. She was super sweet though!)

My go-to store for quality pet food. They stock premium, healthy items and shop assistants are super friendly and always on hand to give great advice. Given the high-end brands they carry, some goodies are expensive but your dogs will benefit in the long run. The best pet food spot for miles.

I've always loved the bay area Pet Food Express stores, this one included! I like that they carry higher quality food and have a nice raw food selection as well. In fact, the Pet Food Express in Fremont was the first place I learned about raw cat food about 10 years ago. The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable, and really get animals and what it's like to be a furbaby parent! Their selection isn't huge but it's perfect for what I need, and they are more personable and helpful than the big box stores. I also appreciate their buy 3 get 1 free deal. I use it all the time! Check them out of you haven't already, highly recommend this location.

There are many outstanding employees at this location and it's a quasi-impossible task to shine the spotlight on just one! Among the many great visits to this store, the one that has prompted this review featured Adrianne--forgive me if I have misspelled that--as the employee-extraordinaire.Picking up some canned food and furniture for my cat, I sort of trickled into a conversation with Adrianne at the register about my purchases--not unlike how one might gently float down a shaded creek during their childhood summers. At no point during our interaction did I feel I was being sold something or navigating stale small-talk found in a corporate handbook on customer interfacing. This felt genuine and I got the sense that Adrianne wanted the best for my cat, not for the company's bottom line. I also learned about her cat and we related about specific products or strategies to please our feline companions.The raw food sampler was/is incredible. It allows me to try out a higher quality diet for my beloved kitty in a convenient, wallet-friendlier way than the previous raw foods I had bought many years ago. No more ponying up big money for a huge pint of frozen rock. Now I get to try out all the different flavors--including the exotic ones--in easy to manage, smaller containers. That removes the headache of timing out your thaws and breaking your cutlery trying to scoop out frozen chunks. It's a Rawvolution! Sorry.Adrianne understands what's best for our pets and puts that first, which is why she offered to provide a discount on the sampler. That's the mark of an employee that values what the customers value: the wellness of our pets.It's a great store, but this is an exceptional location thanks to Adrianne and the others that staff this store.

Friendly, professional staff. They took a full half hour looking for food and treats that my dog could eat. She is allergic to all fowl and almost everything has chicken in it! They found some great food that she loves.

This is probably the store we like to go to the most out of all petstore chains. We had a really good experience today in particular. The employee that helped us (Margaret) was really friendly and knowledgable. We were trying to get camping accessories and food for our small shiba. She walked us around the store and gave us a lot of recommendations and answered all of our questions (we had a lot). We ended up purchasing a couple of things she recommended. Our shiba, who is usually very nervous and shy around new people was comfortable around her too! Overall, a very nice experience.

Every time that I come here I am astounded by how wonderful my experience is. Not only did I find my puppy at an adoption they hosted, but they have taught me so many things about how to effectively raise and handle him since then. The staff really understands animals, and they are so compassionate and willing to share their bounty of knowledge.They also have some amazing deals. For example, when you buy 3 cans of wet dog food, you get the 4th one free. Even better than this is that if your dog doesn't like the food, you can come back to the store and exchange the can of food for a different one at no additional cost.This place truly stands behind their products which is so important to me. I absolutely recommend you come here for your pet needs. :)

We live in Sonoma County and during fires the staff helped us with harness and bath for our dog while we were evacuated. They provided us excellent service free of charge. We want to acknowledge their generosity and thank for their understanding. They are stars!

Every time i come in no one will even help me. They dont have dog stairs, citronella training collars, or several other kind of common things there.
