very friendly staff, made the adoption process super seamless! I just adopted my German Shepard puppy from here, she's the absolute best. For a shelter it is very well kept, dogs are in A.C unlike other shelters.

Staff here were so nice that I came back and volunteered. I didn't quite understand all the LA County law regarding pet adoption and the staff were quite patient with me as the gears in my head slowly turned. Overall a very positive experience. It is a pleasure to see staff/officers who truly care about the animals.

The sensitivity I found here for my pet's demise in a fire is very much appreciated. They had collected his remains, and because I went very soon after, they had him at hand. They were very kind.

Brought our dog to the mobile truck they have every few weeks, made an appointment to have him neutered, he was actually really well faster than anticipated. They were fast and and didn't try to charge me for un needed services. Will definitely recommend for sure.

The lady at the front desk is very impatient rude no people skills. Even after letting her know that we have never been and we are new to the city her way of talking to us as if we are not welcomed or just plain rude. People like this shouldn't be at a front desk where everyone has to pass by and speak to.

The best animal care county run facility I have ever seen.The staff are amazing they respond quickly professionally and show their genuine care for all the pets in their facility.We picked up a two-year-old lab mix and the experience was just the best ever.The staff were all very nice, kind hearted and genuinely care for every single dog cat rabbit horse etc.We bought the whole family over along with our county adopted multis poodle mix family dog.Everyone had time to meet and greet our newest addition to our family.

I got the most wonderful doggie at the Palmdale Shelter and she is so well mannered.I just don't think that the intake window is acting ethically because they zealously resist taking in stray animals or their own returns and there's the article in LA Times about the high kill rate here. I had to help a lady who couldn't get the intake to impound a puppy she had found on the street (A5599345). Also, there were a lot of feces in the kennels which was really sad to see/smell.

The facility is really well maintained and the employees are extremely professional and connected to the cause. It was such a great experience having our aunt adopt here while so many other families did too.

I'm only giving 3 stars because the shelter part is spot on. The care/medical portion is practically non existent. Tried to update the dogs paperwork and need to update the new adoptee's rabies vaccination. Their website for scheduling vaccinations seems to always break when it comes to Palmdale and Lancaster. Shame on you 😕

Just called to make an appointment to see if i can turn in a 9 months old kitten because i already have 2 cats and 3 dogs at home. The lady who answered the call was rude and said "well theyre ok in the streets theyre used to it" 😒 Ok im trying to find a better home than the dumpster and this lady is saying theres nothing they can do, while I went to the facility in person and was told to make an appointment if I wanted to bring a stray. Smh .wow thank god you "protect" animals while you have the resources to do so.

Their policy is that they DO NOT ACCEPT "COMMUNITY ANIMALS" THAT ARE NOT SICK OR INJURED. Stray cats and dogs are all good on the streets if their not visible sick or injured. But they don't mined making you pay them to serender your pets that's all good; by appointment only mind you. Our property taxes pay for this nonsense.

I One of the cleanest animal shelter's in LA county. Newly available digs are kept in a place where you have to be escorted to see. Available ones are easily accessed I guess maybe to move them quicker

It was an amazing experience. Very, clean, organized, and the animals were well kept. Phenomenal service I loved the knowledgeable yet charismatic front desk clerk. I didn't catch her name, but I love her ear gauge and tattoos. You can tell she loves her job. Thanks for helping us!

The facility was immaculate! The animals were well cared for, but still nervous at being in a foreign place and caged. The staff were very attentive to the needs of the animals. It's sad that pet owners are not more responsible and places like this need to be full of such loving animals. But at least there is a reasonable chance that they will find a loving home. That is the MOST important thing!

Be careful, some dogs have been adopted prior to becoming available when they posted them. I arrived very early today because it was first come first serve, they said the puppies were not available until 11am today. All 3 puppies were adopted prior to their arrival at the animal center. Palmdale Animal Center you need to do your homework before posting a pet for available adoption. My kids were very excited about arriving home after school to find a puppy. All 3 puppies were adopted before they arrived to your facility. That’s not fare, I was there early at 10:20am waiting for 11am to be the first to pick the puppy and I was informed at that time that the puppies were already adopted 5 days prior. This is a bunch of bull, why put it up on your website for available adoption.People beware!!!!!

We got the most wonderful little dog at the Palmdale Animal Shelter. Meet Daisy Fay! Everyone there is so helpful and friendly. They are really good with the care of all of the animals. So grateful to have our furever little girl in our forever home. ❤🐕❤🐕❤
