We enjoy shopping for cat, turtle, and fish supplies as we also get to see other pets. This dog was amazing and was super chill laying on the cool ground. Everything is well stocked and clean. Palm Desert store employees are very friendly and welcoming. 40 pounds of clay litter for our cat at $8.99 and giving the children a petting zoo feel is always worth our trip!

So I ordered dog food for delivery from here and when the driver arrived they arrived with the wrong order! I was not happy obviously being that I had waited for hours for it and my dogs had been patiently awaiting the dinner and were to say the least over it!! So the driver takes the order back to the store and completes the order in app saying it was delivered!!! I call and they told me another driver was supposed to be picking up the right order and bringing it to me however it was ten minutes before they were about to close! So I asked how are they gonna pick it up if your closed?asked to speak to a manager and he apologized for the mistake and offered to deliver it personally on his way home from work which he didn’t have to do but indeed did bring it to me and saved the day my dogs got fed and he saved a customer I would have never have shopped there again if it wasn’t for his above and beyond effort to help! So thank you again sir and my dogs thank you also

The staff at this store is great; they are very helpful. However, I highly suggest managers get out of the office when it's busy. As I stood in line waiting, I watched the managers look out and stay put in the office. Not a good look for a manager and definitely not a good look for customer service.

Don’t get your dog groomed here if it’s large or XL. Staff will claim it needs training or is mixed with a “dangerous breed”. Then they will charge you full price and add on “special handling” fee but ADMIT to not doing half of the grooming package (keep in mind my dogs have short coats and only need the bath/brush package). Extremely rude, sneaky, and never had issues like these at the Palm Desert or La Quinta PetSmart Groomers. Ended up having to dispute our pricing with the manager of the store. You’re going to charge me full price and add on a handling fee because he “wanted to play with the drier and is 110+ lbs”. But then didn’t dry him, didn’t cut his nails, didn’t do his anal glands. Just bathed him and did his ears and barely brushed his teeth. Don’t claim special handling if you didn’t even do anything???? What??????? And then when I questioned the pricing they had the nerve to tell me to put my dog in training (when he’s already therapy dog certified- they just clearly mishandled him and my poor boy was SHAKING and howling when he came out). Then when I revealed he was certified, they tried to claim he was a mixed dangerous breed (guys - he’s an akc black labrador….). Whole experience was nothing like I ever experienced. This was a last minute change from our regular spot bc our groomer in PD got sick. Won’t be making this mistake ever again. Thank goodness for front desk and manager at the Palm Springs PetSmart who immediately disputed the charges.

Always a great place to get treats , food, pets, accessories. Staff is always helpful. The grooming section is great. I take my 3 dogs there for baths, not at the same time that would be crazy for me. Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage Petsmart, both very good! Glad to have a place for our animals. Thank you! and my dogs love their treats!!

I’m also reporting petsmart to the BBB after this review. We have a small volunteer based non profit animal rescue. One of our fosters needed supplies for a mom dog and puppies we just rescued. He was closest to this location, so I got online and ordered $250 worth of supplies. The first two times I tried to pay, it said there was an issue with my payment. I checked on my bank statement and did see that there were two attempted charges that were reversed right away. I decided to try it one more time and this time it processed. I didn’t receive a confirmation page or receipt to my email so I checked my bank account, saw the charge, then called my bank to make sure it was legit this time. My bank verified that the charge is legit, no longer pending, and the money was already removed out of my account. My foster got to pet smart to pick up the order and they didn’t have any record of anything so then I had to spend 20 minutes on the phone with a supervisor trying to figure it out. We don’t have any extra funding as a volunteer rescue. We support our animals via donations. No paid employees, no nothing. Each dime matters to us, literally. The supervisor said welp, we don’t see the confirmation and the order didn’t go through so there is nothing we can do. I said I can send you pictures of the charge going through, you can call my bank and verify it. He was like no, we won’t be doing anything to help you and it’s not our problem. I said wait a minute, you’re telling me that you’re not going to give my foster the items. I’m not being refunded, and that our foster animals don’t get to eat tonight? He just brushed me off and said I’m sure your bank will get it back to you within 7 days!!! Are you kidding me? Did you just hear me say we have no food for the dogs tonight because you stole $250 from my account and won’t give it back or the items? He was disgusting. This company is a million dollar company and you want to rob volunteer rescues and animals of their money and food? I’m appalled and disgusted. I will be reporting this to all outlets and will never step food in a pet food express again. That’s a lot of income your company will be losing out on.

It was a great visit, and he did well. But the Antishedding shampoo was kind of an issue after the bath, but how soft, sadly, never again, poor doggie, he was so itchy and Scratchy for a few days.. who knew, and now we know, he is a sensitive special dog.I still give full rating because they never knew nor did we!

This location has the friendliest employees so helpful and willing. If you color your pet see Adrian she is wonderful so talented and adds a touch of uniqueness to my dog that is unprecedented the manager is great too don't miss PetSmart if you're looking for a location to service your animals really really appreciate them.

I took my service dog for a bath and brush and for a teeth cleaning.I will never take my dog to them again.The reason is that when I return home my dog she started to scratch vigorously at her paws/ears and her rear. Look painful. Anyway I decided to check and clean her ears and they were very dirty (was suppose to be done). Never again

This is our store for pet care We just bought this fish stand and it fit our 2 10gal tanks side by side perfectly. We have African cichlids which we also adopted from this store when they were babies back in 2019. The furniture piece is great quality, easy to assemble and priced just right similar to big corp store prices LOVE our Store

I was here this morning picked up a Male Dumbo Betta I Didn't Receive The 15% off so I went back and bought 2 more, another Dumbo Male and A Red Halfmoon, in addition I already had a Black Mustard .I explained what happened she motioned a manager over and did an EXCELLENT Job of helping me!! We love this location the staff is friendly and always welcoming. We by supplies for our daughters Guinea pigs and we purchased Scratches and Polka dots at this location as well. She has had them for going on 2 years. We bought our son a bearded dragon at this location as well. When we buy our items needed online it is usually ready in a hour sometimes less.
