10 stars!!! Was able to get in right away on an emergency basis. After bloodwork found out my baby girl has chronic kidney disease. From the time you walk through the door till you leave all staff treated us like family. Very professional. Dr Taylor has a calming demeanor. Very thorough. Explained everything well and vet tech went over the medicine and how to administer. I live in the high desert but will now be making this my vet for both my dogs. Definitely worth the drive down the hill knowing my fur babies are in good hands.Thank you Dr Taylor and staff.🤗 And Lola thanks you too.

When My FurBaby Was In Time Of Need PET LUX Was There To HELP! Unfortunately our first vet visit with them was an Emergency Visit Due To A First Time Ever Seizure! I Panicked And Called So Many Places Taking Into Consideration That The Valley Has Very Limited Vets In The Area. As soon As They Picked Up The Phone They We’re Able To Get My Boy Seen RIGHT AWAY! When I Arrived To Their Location They Went Above And Beyond To Assist Me To Take My Siberian Husky Up The Elevator As He Was Very Fragile At The Moment, Throughout The First Visit Bloodwork Was Done A Conversation Was Had About Future Episodes. Fast Forward About 3 Weeks Later My Boy Had Another Seizure Which Resulted In Another Vet Visit With PET LUX….This Time They We’re Able To Clarify With Me ON MOVING ONTO THE NEXT BEST THING AND That Was BEST To Start Him On Seizure Meds SOONER Than Later. As This Was ALOT To Take In At Once As I Am A First Time PET OWNER and was OVERWHELMED to say The Least I Love My FURBABY TO pieces and Would Do Anything To Get My Boy Back On The Right Track. He Is Currently On Seizure Meds & Has Not Had Any Since Our Last Visit! The Staff Has Been Very Kind, Knowledgeable,& Efficient! Also I’d Like To ADD That I Believe Dr.Baumguard is Very Passionate About Pets And Actually Cares About His Furry Patients! This Will Be OUR GO TO VET! SO FAR SO GOOD! Thank You ALL for giving me comfort and a piece of mind!

I had the best experience I've ever had at a vet. It was my first time and unfortunately it had to be an emergency surgery. I had called around and Pet Lux was the only one that could take in my little yogi as soon as possible. We are extremely grateful for Pet Lux great team. From the moment we spoke to them they were very kind, caring , and compassionate. We were anxious and stressed but they reassured us everything will be ok. Thankfully surgery was a success. Yogi is on the road to recovery acting like a puppy at age 13. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. Our new go to vet. Won't go anywhere else

I loved my experience here. The vet Dr Kim was so kind and gentle with my new puppy. The vet tech and desk girls were so helpful.I brought my Winston back for his neuter and they took such good care of him. They were quick and helpful. He healed up perfectly.I moved out of the area but still bring him back when he needs his shots.This is a perfect vet hospital that cares for the pet and their owners. I highly recommend!

I started using Pet lux during Covid. These women are incredible!! They take care of all 6 of my fur babies. They’re honest, fast, and love animals. I have never felt more comfortable taking my dogs somewhere.

What a wonderful experience! Our sweet little boy (puggle puppy) had an accident with a full chicken leg bone and it was stuck in his belly. We went to urgent care where they referred surgery. We called nearly 30 places from 29 to Encinitas trying to find a surgeon. We called Pet Lux at 8:30 and they had him back by 9 AM. To our surprise and relief, the vets at Pet Lux were confident they could get him to pass the bone naturally. Sure enough, with help, he passed it in two hours with no complications. The alternative thinking saved our little boy from being put under the knife and us THOUSANDS of dollars. I'm so thankful for their quick thinking, honesty, and compassion for our little boy. HIGHLY recommend

We can not say enough about the care Pet Lux staff took with our pup. We are only in the area for 3 months and did not have an established vet. Our pup had an urgent situation and we needed her to be seen quickly. The staff at Pet Lux were very accommodating - arranging an appointment quickly, the appointment was on time, and all of the staff engaged with Millie in a very positive way. We appreciate the care that was taken with Millie and with us to ensure we knew how to manage her health going forward. We highly recommend Pet Lux and will use them in the future if we have other vet needs while in Palm Springs.

Took Scruffy our sick 16yr old 9lb rescue chihuahua/terrier cross (who we call a terrierist) to Pet Lux after having a hard time getting him in at other vets quickly while visiting Palm Springs. He is hard to deal with, so it was to our amazement the efficient, effective way a number of the staff at Pet Lux were able to handle him with no problem and quickly diagnose his condition. Within a couple of hours he was bouncing around like he was a puppy again. I don't know what to say. This is such a caring and professional group from the front reception right to the vets in charge. Simply fantastic. I wish we could get them to come to Canada and set up shop there. You are in good hands with them. Thank you Pet Lux!

I don't really know where to start as I don't know what's wrong with my Old English Bulldog who has been loosing her hair for over 6 weeks now and Pet Lux has charged me nearly 1,300 for no answer or diagnosis just a bunch of pills and a cytopoint injection (the price has increased from 130 dollars for her first injection back in April to 424 dollars this past August 3)I have owned two bulldogs- these dogs are my life. Bulldogs are high maintenance and expensive in general and again this is NOT my first rodeo. I moved to the desert for safety very quickly in 4 days leaving all my vets and entire life. We had some bad experiences at VCA with them being rude or them not having appointments again which is not acceptable so it was a relief to find Pet Lux !The issue that I had with vca was that I couldn't get my dog in for her cytopoint injection for 8 weeks and she got an ear infection. I called pet lux and they got her right in, our first appointment was nearly 1,000 between the cytopoint, antibiotics, and vet visit.Our first visit was with a vet who was nice and seemed like she knew what she was doing. I have not seen a vet since that first visit other than for a few minutes- Mary started loosing her hair last august aka 6 weeks ago.On August 3rd I brought her in for her 400 cytopoint injection and emergency appointment as her hair was falling out- I was told nothing was wrong no mites no fleas and charged for a skin cytology- I had to bring her back a few days later as she continued to get worse and had huge scabs all over her back fromHer hair falling out. I sent pet lux a photo of Mary and they asked me to come in at 8:30 am to see the vet- my neighbor who was and is still is super concerned about Mary came with me- I had already canceled my morning appointments and moved them to the afternoon- we were sitting for 20 minutes and then informed that the vet was not there and could I come back in 2 hours and sit outside as they thought Mary might have mites- but they had just told me a week before that she had no mites?I come back with my neighbor. I am met with a very nasty nurse practitioner who apparently thinks she's god and was literally belittled and thrown a bottle of pills by her who tried to push their allergy work up on me before she would even give me any. I was showing them text message conversations with my old vet telling me what they should prescribe and again that we need to be very careful with Mary as she can get secondary skin infections and cancer. With a witness my neighbor this nurse than told me that if my dog has so many vets I should be able to figure this out myself.When I called pet lux last week again I asked for antibiotics to prevent a secondary skin infection- they refused to prescribe any without seeing her hence today- I have not slept in five days being nervous and worried to have to go into pet Lux today - I knew in my heart that they again would have zero answers - I was taken back into a room with this nurse and the owner (Kristen L) of Pet Lux and the door was closed, the owner is not a vet.I was told by the nurse that she was bringing the owner in due to the difficulties last visit ( ie their inability to diagnose my dog) and that even if it's costly I need to be doing an allergy work up for Mary. I laughed and mentioned the price as I've already consulted various allergy specialists where I will have Mary seen and tested before I'd ever let anyone that cannot figure out why her hair is falling out for two months and just keeps charging me money ever touch her .I paid Pet Lux 300 today for not one answer- they are aware I am a DV victim and yet they are verbally abusing me themselves. Selling me used shampoo and charging me 80 dollars for it. I went to take it out of my car they had taped the bottle closed - I called her old vet immediately who pointed out the fact that I was taken back into a room with no vet and they attempted to sell me services while not being able solve or give any answers about her initial problem that's causing her hair to fall out?

Good service, kind staff, but extremely high prices. I paid an 800% mark up (compared to many advertised retail prices online) on a common antibiotic and have tallied over $1,100 on diagnostics and treatment for a UTI after the first treatment didn't work. I feel taken advantage of.

Unfortunately, the Coachella Valley is limited on available vets and this was the only place accepting new patients. Im fostering a rescue dog and he needed to be seen right away so we resorted here. The prices are ridiculously high and the staff was all over the place! I can tell the front desk staff was trying their best and they were nice, but the vet tech didn't have a pleasant attitude and Dr. Juarez was rude. I was asking her a question about the dog's medical records and I didn't see that at that moment she was using the stethoscope on the dog. She rips off the stethoscope and raises her voice at me saying "HUH?!!". We were put in office #1 which is this weirdly placed 2-door room that connects the front office to the back office. Basically, when staff need to get from the front to the back of the clinic they enter through this room. Staff were shuffling in and out during the entire appt. So unprofessional, very distracting for the humans, and nerve-racking for the dog. They're not good with communication. I almost walked out without our rabies tag and certificate had I not asked for them. The prices are extremely steep and their response is "We're a private clinic"!! $85 for the initial exam, quoted $600 for a neuter (apparently that's their non-profit discount). Our bill was $986 for the initial exam, rabies, x-ray, and radiology consult of the x-ray images (which were of course "normal"). For comparison, Banning Vet charges $270 for neutering! The vet's response if the dog's symptoms didn't go away didn't sit well with us. Lastly, his rabies certificate says it expires in one year but his medical records from this place state it will expire in 3 LOL. Just go to Banning Vet for competent staff/vets who are reasonable in pricing.

Clean place, good staff but holy black baby Jesus is this place overpriced. Less than 60 pound neuter would cost roughly 1500 bucks. 1350 for a spay under 60 pounds. With the blood work, you're looking at over 1700 for a basic operation. I get you have costs and payroll but jesus a 900% markup is ridiculous. You'll never keep customers long term with these prices. Should have known it was going to cost a lot when on my way in, an older man was crying in the parking lot. He had to put his 18 pound jack russell down and they charged him 600..

After my dog had a difficult weekend, I called PetLux early Monday morning. The receptionist gave me a choice of doing a walk in or schedule an appointment for the following day. We chose same day walk in.( we were not previous customers)When we walked in we were greeted and before I could fill out the paperwork a vet tech came to get us. After a very brief wait the veterinarian came into the exam room. She was kind and efficient and took good care of my dog.The clinic scheduled a follow up visit without my asking and even called the day after our visit to check on how my dog was doing!I feel we got great care at PetLux

How do I even begin. I LOVE this entire practice. From the moment they answered to the moment I walked out the door love, kindness, grace are all the words that come to mind. I came in with my 13 year old pup that legit has been through EVERYTHING with me, after calling 5-6 other places that wouldn’t see me. God lead me down the hill to the warmest loving staff and cleanest clinic I’ve been to. Thank you Dr. Papas for being an absolutely amazing veterinarian. You and your team have such a gift. Thank you for making a horrible day just a little better knowing our decision was educated and Kane was is good hands.

Don’t go to this clinic. They are liars who have degrees not in the medical field, but rather in the art of deception.Gypsy had a limp on her back leg and we thought it was a joint issue. We took her into petlux. After the ultrasound and x-rays, they told us she has pyometra, which is an infection inside the uterus. They pressured us to get her spayed, but we decided to try antibiotics for her instead, in order to get her healthy before the impending surgical operation.We tried the antibiotics for a few days, but she was not getting better, so we took her in for a second time. We saw an unprofessional nurse who literally lied to our faces and just kept repeating “she’s not gonna get better, she’s not gonna get better.” They lie and make you fearful for your pet, just to get more money out of your pocket. We were so frustrated with this woman that we decided to go elsewhere for a second opinion.We did some searching and eventually found another place which better suited our needs. After X-rays, blood test, and urine test, the other vet confirmed that there is no sign of infection. They also found a BLISTER on her FOOT which was the reason for her limping, not pyometra. Petlux gave us a FALSE DIAGNOSIS.Petlux are liars. Liars liars liars!! The nurses and doctors’ only intention is to get more money out of pet owners. They don’t even deserve the 1 star I am giving them. If you care for your furry friend, go somewhere else.

Best service ! Got an emergency appt for my dog when no one after thanksgiving weekend would be available. Especially for next day travel. Friendly & knowledgeable staff, office decorated like The Grinch for Christmas- friendly, happy , efficient service, easy to find and easy parking, reasonable pricing . Would give 10 stars if I could. Thanks so much for accommodating me & my dog on such short notice! There are stairs and an elevator fyi to get to the office.

If you came across this by searching for low cost vet options like I did then you are in the wrong place. They want $1,700 total to do a basic neuter which is just outrageously expensive. The office and staff is nice but these rates are not OK!

The vets in this valley tend to charge astronomically high prices for some very basic services. Pet Lux cost about half what I was quoted from the VCA. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable. You can tell they really care for animals. 10/10 would recommend Pet Lux!
