Just adopted the most gorgeous ginger kitten. While they are usually maIe, I lucked out and got a sweet female.Their cattery is a separate building far away from the dogs. Inside it looks like a home, and the cats all are free to roam all about the place! Such a wonderful environment to socialize a furbaby looking for a forever home. The adoption rates are beyond reasonable, and all the animals are up-to-date on all of their shots. The staff is very attentive and compassionate, warm and friendly. They do same-day adoptions! However, since I was flying out of state they had to do an extra checkup for the health certificate for the airplane.

They're great! Same guy has been working there a long time. Always workin reall hard. They take good care of the animals. And i believe it's a no kill shelter. Each time one of our beloved pets dies, we bring a carload of all their belongings, food, beds, litter, toys, etc..

I was impressed with how well they take great care of the animals here. We adopted our Husky, Juneau (changed the spelling from Juno) from here and he is the perfect fit for us.Yes, the process is slower than adopting from a county shelter, but that's because they want to make sure the new home is a good fit for both the animal and adopting family. They even do a mandatory fostering period so the family can ensure the new addition is the right fit. The adoption fees are also sensible as they are a no-kill shelter and you'll receive your animal up to date on shots, spayed/neutered and in great health.When it's time for us to add another to our pack, we'll come back here again. I highly recommend them!

This is a wonderful place! The staff are clearly compassionate toward animals and welcoming and friendly when you visit. We got our kitten there just 3 weeks ago. She was spade and fully vaccinated and clearly, had been well cared for. This organization deserves to be supported in every way.

Some of the most caring and knowledge staff. This is a small shelter so you really get a personal experience. It’s a wonderful outdoor facility that helps dogs find their forever homes. My boy had been there 4 years before I found him. They took great care of him!

Amazing amazing amazing! Please come and adopt here. The dogs are happy and wagging their tails, such a variety of beautiful dogs in need of a home. The cats have their own house! It's a dream come true for kitties in need of a family. They treat the animals so well, please give back and bring one home. Thank you Humane Society!

The staff takes wonderful care of the animals. Volunteers are welcome! If you're currently spending your mornings walking at your neighborhood park, you might consider walking shelter dogs instead. It provides a really rewarding experience and the dogs love to be walked, petted and given praise. I volunteer in the mornings to walk dogs, and I actually miss them when I'm out of town! I definitely have my favorites.

Very disappointed! Filled out an application for a puppy as soon as the puppy entered the facility. We visited the pup three times. We were told they would let us know. Almost a week later we were told the pup was spoken for. Find out the director of the facility took the dog despite the fact she had 11 dogs! WILL NEVER GO BACK! Will probably be purchasing a dog from private party now.

We are working on an adoption with them currently and the level of care they take towards the process is very respectable. The focus is clearly on finding each animal the RIGHT home and not just any home which they are liable to be returned from if the fit isnt right. I saw one review that said they were upset that they couldn't adopt because they couldn't afford the fee due to "hard times"....if you have fallen upon hard times and have 50$ to your name you DO NOT need to be adopting a pet of any kind...they were right to turn you away.

They do the best they can but this is not a no-kill shelter. Of course they are constantly overloaded with dogs and cats.I give the employees credit for always trying to keep a positive attitude and a smile on their face. But when I go in there I frequently feel so sad for the dogs that I know are going to be put down.

My niece's dog Luna ran off. Next day picked up Luna. The staff were very helpful. The staff made sure I was who I said I was. They double checked made sure all was kosher. The staff took good care of Luna. So she home now.

Easily the best experience I've ever had with a place to rescue a dog. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Animals are clearly well cared for. Add the fact that they are a no-kill shelter, and they've got a supporter for life.

It is obvious that the HSD is working diligently to take good care of all of the animals in their care. The cats have a lovely indoor communal home and the dog runs were all very clean. Check them out to adopt a dog or cat. Kittens certainly available at this time of year. They come in as orphans and are hand raised by the staff.

This is by far the best pet rescue I have ever worked with, clean compassionate about their orphans, find the best homes, terrific. The animals who are there are lucky, they really do get an honest second chance for a better life.

We spent a few hours there touring the facility, meeting the employees and playing with the dogs and cats. We were very impressed with everything and everyone. It is very obvious that they really care for the animals and are there to make a difference!
