Came in with my dog and partner on Valentine's Day, met the groomer Asher who was super helpful! Recommended tools to help with my dog's coat as well as mentioning that now would be the best time to begin training, he seemed like he genuinely cared and we really appreciated his time.The cashier on duty was a different story. A man with blonde hair and peachy lipstick. He was extremely rude and barely acknowledged our presence. When we went to the register, he was on his phone (not his scanner, it was his phone) and didn't greet us. He instead immediately tried to get us to sign up, mentioning sales prices. I don't shop at this company so I declined. But, I also work at a pet store so I understand the membership conversion rate. I gave him a family members' number, assuming it was signed up, and watched him press join on the pin pad for me, reaching over the counter. He simply could've asked, and I didn't give him a name so I'm not sure what he put down. He didn't offer to bag my items, he didn't move them over for me to make them easier to grab, and simply ended the transaction with "Bye." It really isn't difficult to tell someone to have a good day. It really soured our experience and I'll make sure to visit the Palm Springs location if need be.

Great store, very clean. Staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable. However I have to give only 3⭐️because they have no fish, and thats why I went. Call your local stores and ask if they have what you're looking for.

My puppy went through a growth spurt and store manager refused to let me weigh my puppy to know how much to feed him and told me to go to petsmart. Very disappointed as a petco plus member. I’ve picked up many orders and have had minimal contact with the staff which is normally fine. Very dissatisfied with the customer service when it would’ve taken a few minutes out of their day for a loyal customer who makes monthly purchases for my large breed puppy and cat.

I found exactly what I needed. Was assisted by a very nice customer service representative. Update 3/29/24 I visited the store this week and had a very negative exchange with the blonde haired person at the cash register. I was trying to do a return and he left me there and waited on five people at another register before helping me.

It was the only store I could find that sold wet cat food by the can rather than forcing me to buy the whole box. Another big plus was the fact that I ordered online and a very nice girl brought my purchase out to the car so I didn't have to get out. It was 120 degrees out. The whole process was great and fast.

I’ve been going to this Petco for five years. I moved 40 minutes away and continued to go to this location. I made appointment they sent me a text to confirm my appointment the day before which I did. I got in my car drove the 40 minutes to drop off my dog and no one was there. The gentleman at the counter said that there’s no groomer today. Lovely and no one notified me. So I guess I will not be taking him to this location but now to the one on East 111 and let’s see how they do.

They didn't have the nutritional gel I need for my little senior chihuahua at the Palm Desert location...but they always have it in either La Quinta or Indio...so I'm not worried...

Was frustrated that I couldn't find my dog's old food on the shelf, but I know it's not Petco's fault and they showed me something my dog likes better. Nice people, always give my dog a cookie. A+ will be back!

Yesterday I purchased a bag of cat food for my elderly cat; it was a different formula of Science Diet than what she normally eats. I opened the bag and the food smelled very good and the kibble was the perfect petite size, a bit smaller than her usual formula. So, I thought she was going to love the new food. I gave her a piece of the kibble and she promptly pushed it out of her mouth with her tongue. So I gave her another kibble and she would not eat it, she spit it out and looked nasty at me and walked away. My dog was right there as she always is whenever food is opened so I gave her a kibble and she spit it out! My dog is not a picky eater. Today I returned the bag to Petco and they promptly allowed me to exchange the bag for my cat's regular formula. The entire transaction only took a few minutes. I will never again try to switch formulas for my cat. I just really appreciate the quality brands that Petco carries, always fresh. And their Customer Service is always outstanding.

5 Stars!! My New Go to pet store for supplies 😍❤️ I called ahead of time because I do dog grooming and my curved grooming shears just broke on me 😩 but an awesome guy named Bruce answered the phone and set the very last pair of curved shears aside for me 🙏 ❤️ So I went online really quick and did a curbside online order and drove right over 15 minutes later and they literally brought them right out to my car! All I had to do was call the store and let them know I had just placed an online curbside order and give them my name then show my ID at the car and they handed me my scissors ✂️ ❤️ Thank you so much Bruce!! And thank you Petco for making thinks so quick and easy, I TRULY APPRECIATE this!! ❤️❤️❤️
