The only place that is willing to actually accommodate alpha dogs.So many groomers want easy dogs that haven’t been traumatized. Thank goodness for a groomer that accommodates rescued bullies that need to smell good too!

Veronica and her crew have been amazing!!!!They’ve been taking care of my big hairy hounds going on two years and I absolutely consider them friends and family. It’s rare to find people like this. I completely trust and appreciate them. I leave my house open to them if I’m not home and feel absolutely comfortable with them coming in and out as needed. Businesses should look to them as an example of how to work with clients . Charles has been taking care of my dogs for the last few months and has been doing a stellar job. I took one of my babies to see Veronica because he had been shedding SO MUCH. Her and her staff were GREAT! I get anxious taking my babies anywhere, but I felt 100% comfortable with him being there because I knew he was in great hands. He looked even more handsome when they were done with him and the shedding has been so much better! Definitely recommend anyone needing their pups groomed to give Veronica a call!

My sheepadoodle always looks Snow White and beautiful after her grooming appointment here. They are cage free and she is usually ready to go in approximately 2 hours rather than 4-5 hours at most grooming shops. Owner Veronica is terrific!

Finding Alpha Grooming & Trading Post has been a huge blessing! Not only does Veronica do an amazing job but my husky loves coming. He gets so excited when he sees the place and runs inside. He comes out looking beyond handsome. The products she uses are also quality. I trust Alpha Grooming & Trading Post with my spoiled husky to get love and take care of him like her own. We were new to Palm Desert and just got two Shih Tzu puppies. I found Alpha Dog Grooming and gave them a try, best decision. Veronica was right on time, did a fantastic bath and first haircuts for our boys! I find her prices so much more reasonable than when we were in Orange County. WOW! If you are like me, you research everything, especially reviews. Look no further! I needed to find a place to get my dogs groomed that allowed a “free” space (cage free.) I called this business and booked my appointment (it’s by appt only) for the following week. I decided to book for a few reasons: 1. The customer service was on par. 2. They listened to my reason for switching groomers while keeping tact and grace for the other business. 3. They try to keep it to one dog at a time. 3. They are cage free.Upon arrival for my appointment, I walked into the most inviting room, set up like a living room. Tons of live plants, beautiful artisan goods on her shelves by locals, including 818 coffee.My dogs were greeted by Veronica, who after asking permission, had treats ready for my dogs. She took some time to get on their level and make it known that she was a friend. My dogs were happy and comfortable with the environment in under a minute.Upon arrival back at the store, my dog was laying on the couch (like she does at home) and was very happy to see me! Her grooming looked impeccable, and she was wearing a cute yellow bandana.Veronicas store is not just a grooming place; it’s a trading post with goods. There are several things for sale including vintage items, crystals, coffee, plants and special Dog treats (including CBD) She hosts community events like sound baths and the upcoming “coffee, thrifts and ceramics” event.Whether you have a dog or not, this place is worth checking out. If you do have a pet who needs grooming, stop looking. This is the perfect place!Thank you Veronica for taking such good care of my sweet girl. I am so impressed with the space you created and feel that everyone should know about a good thing!!!

In house grooming was just okay. The owner doesn't have any customer skills whatsoever. Their mobile groomer who we used was great, but he walked out without notice. I wonder why.

I could have done a better job myself for that kind of money. Hair wasn't extracted from ears, uneven all over length, and sanitary areas and rump hair was still long, didn't clean (remove fur) on and in between pads on paws.
