First time here, staff super friendly. I found them attentive. The drink attendant came by many times. It was nice to get a coke not a Pepsi. lol. Guest service made our cards explained free play, which was nice since we drive from Los Angeles to get there it’s an incentive to go disappear for a few hours. We ate at the cafe, server was fun food surprisingly good. We did not stay over but plan to soon. The casino was clean, we played slots of course, we had fun no major wins, we didn’t come to win, but we were happy to have played much longer than we planned because we lost track of time. It’s just nice to be able to go with what you intend on spending, and actually play for a while. Not to busy everyone seemed to be happy just hanging out. Live music playing a variety of music. The only issue I had was not even an issue really, a man at a machine was smoking the most horrible cigarette, my machine was paying off but whatever he lit up smelled just like he rolled around in a pile of manure for a few days once that stench hit me after he lit it I was out!! Cash out and done. One person’s cigarette grossed me out. Otherwise the smoking didn’t bother me yes we will come back.

Relatively clean casino with some decent games, emphasis on slots. The food at the Noodles restaurant is surprisingly good and authentic - although maybe not a suprise because of the amount of Asians here :-)Only thing you might not like is the amount of smoke. Sure they have a smoke free section but if you want to play outside of there, you WILL be smelling like an ashtray.Luck is also relative. I've won hundreds, I've lost hundreds. The most serendipitous thing would be if you hit up one of the many fruit stands on the drive in from the 15. Damn good fruit.

Could not be more disappointed in the service, food. Food was worse then picking up from homeless and reheating it, the waitresses was handling to big of a party to take our order. FISH was the worst ever, could of left it out for a week and it would of taste better. Can't order to go. Have to sit down then ask for a box. LOL. Joke. Food was not very good either. Would recommend eating before you come

A great hotel and casino. Just here to spend one night so didn't have the chandler to discover everything, but in general it's a very nice hotel/casino. Rooms are spacious and clean. Bed is good, maybe a bit hard, but that's to my taste. Coffeemaker in the room - big plus. Another big plus is that the room has several charging outlets for smartphones and more. Minus is the soap (maybe I'm to harsh because I'm a soap maker) the facial soap contain way to many bad stuff, and the shower gel really dries out your skin. But I'm a delicate flower and just have to try all hotel soaps when we are out and about.Over all a great hotel.

The customer service was great. I went for lunch withy new amazing brother... It's a peaceful place to relax but I don't like to gamble but it was free money that was the bonus to just going to be there to knowing everywhere I go it's a God's reasonable way to show me that I am called to be there for anyone to give words of advice, to listen, to learn, grow in all ways.Food & drinks: Spaghetti with meatballs and salad... Recommended and the service was great there as well...

Pala Casino and Spa USED to be a wonderful place before covid. I am not a big gambler but used to visit to enjoy the spa and pool. The spa has been closed for 4+ years now and all they can tell me during those 4 years is they are going to open eventually. The steak house was my favorite restaurant to visit but now it is by invitation only based on your gambling. Absolutely ridiculous, have never heard of a restaurant only for gamblers.

The pala cafe inside the casino is definitely my go to place for a great breakfast,,I'm a avid Harley Davidson motorcycle rider and I've eaten at many places,,however as far as breakfast pala cafe is the best,,the food is excellent and very affordable,,the service is great and all the employees strive to make the experience of visiting their casino nothing less than excellent.Nearby activities: Hwy 76 towards julian is an excellent beautiful drive.Safety: I've parked my Harley Davidson motorcycle in the parking for motorcycles and have never had any issues with theft or vandalism,,the security in and around the casino is on itFood & drinks: Pala cafe is the best,,great food excellent service and great value.

My wife and I have gamed here before but we've never stayed. We stayed one night for a quick getaway. We were very pleased with the hotel room. It was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows. The rates were reasonable for the season. The pool closed after a certain date due to the fact that the resort is located near the mountains and the temperature drops considerably. We will return.

I just want to share a really bad experience I had at the Pala Casino.On February 13, 2024 night, I called to make a room reservation for February 17, after booking the room, I asked the person who helped me (Sele) if they had any shows going on that weekend, and she said “yes, we have the Chinese Lunar New year Celebration”, and so I bought two tickets, it was supposed to be a surprise Valentine’s gift for my wife, she did not say what the showing was about, I thought the celebration was about colorful dragons show.Right after I bought the tickets I Googled the show, and to my surprise I could not find anything in English, it is a Vietnamese show. The problem is I do not speak a word of Vietnamese nor I know these singer(s)(No offense to the show), next morning I called about four times to explain my situation and that I had purchased the tickets by mistake. I thought the Casino would help me and understand that I had made a mistake, I wasn’t able to talk to someone until late that afternoon, 20 hours after my first call I was able to talk to Kimberly but did not give me a chance to talk, nor time to explain, she never apologized for the inconvenience or offer a voucher to use in the casino, I totally understand I should of asked what that show was about, they should at least notify the buyer ahead of time that it’s only in Vietnamese. Might be a beautiful show but the language make it less attractive to me. I just hope this doesn’t happen to someone else.It was my valentine’s get away for my wife and myself, totally ruined, I had to cancel my room because I wouldn’t stayed at a place that do not care about customers, even though I’m not a regular customer, I think it would be most reasonable to offer other options, may be not a total refund, but would of come to an agreement.Hopefully some day they can start caring about the unsatisfied customers and offer solutions.The casino has good reviews, but the customer service SUCKS, I WOULD NEVER BUY A TICKET NOR WOULD STAY AT THE CASINO, Greedy place, they DO NOT CARE ABOUT their customers, money first.Sincerely,Unhappy customerWalterMarch 03, 2024I want to thank “THE OWNER” who ever he/she was, for his immediate response, I got an apology and a refund was issued to my account.

First off I don’t gamble. But my wife does, so that pretty much makes me somewhat of an expert on the non-gambling experience in a casino. Lots of casinos hahahaha. Anyhow, I have lots of experience at Pala over the years. And I have watched it go steadily downhill. It’s a shame. Buffet is gone. It was the best casino buffet around including Las Vegas. Street taco stand outside gone. Ok. There’s a bar outside but it’s almost never open. Why? It’s part of Luis Rey’s “Mexican” restaurant which is almost never open. The outstanding sushi bar is gone. In its place is some sort of snack bar which is almost never open. High Limit buffet is gone. Deli is gone. The Cave is gone. The pool is almost never open. The spa is gone. Where is management? Well, not parked in the beautifully painted parking spots in the hotel parking garage. But don’t think you can park there. They will hunt you down and take you away from a revenue producing gambling situation and make you move your car so that management can park there if they ever decide to show up.

Roo.s are beautiful, beds are comfortable and very clean, security at the elevators leading to the rooms made me feel safe and cared for during out staycatio .Rooms: Spacious room with in-room coffee, hangers, safe. The main reason I gave Pala a 4 is smoking is still allowed. Smoking rates a 1 in my opinion but the machines were kind to me so I bumped up my rating.Once again, smokers only account for 25% of the population and smoking causes cancer leaving 75% of us exposed to that danger. More non-smokers would probably come to casinos if smoking wasn't allowed.Overall it's a nice small casino with a nice mixture of old school and new machines. I will probably continue to frequent it, but only with a mask.

I love staying here the rooms are great very spacious and very exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable as always I enjoy having the complementary coffee and tea sitting on the couch by the window enjoying the mountain views or just sitting on the bed watching tv and specially after a long gambling/drinking night it sure does wake me up.Rooms: The rooms are very nice and clean and definitely very comfortableSafety: There's always a security officer or personnel around inside the casino as well as in the outside in the parking area and in the parking garage they're going around in their patrol carFood & drinks: There are several things to eat here, but what we love love love is the Noodle soup and specially the seafood Pho soup, ( I forgot to take a pic of it) they serve a very generous amount of all the food and it's reasonably priced, it is delicious definitely recommend going for a try

Pala casino is similar to Vegas quality casino that you can find in the San Diego area. If you’re looking to have a good time, celebrate a special event, or just unwind, I think Pala offers many attractions, whether you were there to drink, gamble or celebrate. It’s always very clean, staff, extremely friendly and respectful. Drinks are reasonably priced.

This used to be my favorite casino, but its gone downhill. I strictly play table games and the new pit bosses just suck. Example, at the roulette table payouts take forever as the dealer is about to pay and the pit boss comes and says it's the incorrect amount, only to be the correct amount. This has been a trend with the new pit bosses. On top of that the comps have sucked lately and so have the payouts. It's a shame as I would recommend this casino over all in SOCAL to friends and family. Only good thing that have going is there live music, would be the only reason I would visit this casino again.

My Husband and I recently stayed at Pala Pala Spa Resort for our very first time.I will say we were very Impressed with our room. They even had a HBD greeting sign on our wall for my husbands BDAY. Unfortantly I was woken up about 2am in the morning with my arm burning & itching intensively! My arm had big welts on it and my eye was closed shut. I woke my husband up we jumped out the bed & descovered a bed bug ( a nice size one)! He had a field day on me I was bitten on my eye & several times on my arm. It ruined our whole trip. The front office did refund our stay. Still waiting to hear back from someone in management. Not to mention how disrespectful & rude the front desk agent Isabella was upon checking in. Too bad I actually liked this place with it being our first visit.Noteworthy details: Unfortunately these rooms need to be more sanitized. Also front desk agent is very prejudiced.

This casino is on the Pala Indian reservation in a beautiful environment. I don’t win all the time but have better luck here than if I was to go to Yaamava so I drive further. Sometimes when I’m there it feels like the smoke is bad and there is poor air ventilation. Also they should have a better build up point system for the players card. You could gamble so much money and only earn very little points. I love the coffee here too

Visited to see a favorite band play at Center Bar. Had to cross a cigarette smoke infested casino from the parking lot. Sat at the bar ( Cash Only, no debit or credit card) and only saw the cocktail waitress once in an hour and a half. This establishment is loosing so much money due to poor management that they must be compensating it from gambling profits. First and time I will visit regardless.

We’ve stayed here about 10 times or so since 2021, the rooms were almost always spotless. I think maybe one time a couch had a stain on it. Toilets and showers are always clean. I love staying here because the rooms are really nice.Casino has lots of variety, including old school quarter and dollar reels, plus nickels and penny reels. No other socal casino I’ve been to recently has these older games. I also love the non smoking section, hopefully Pala joins the other local casinos and gets rid of smoking. I hate coming home smelling like smoke.Pit dealers are 90 percent friendly and 10 percent just hard to understand or don’t seem friendly. Pit management have always been friendly and constantly strike up conversations at the tables. Even the players that frequent the tables are almost all friendly and inviting.Restaurants are all delicious, coffee shop is great and unless it’s a morning rush is always fast. I do wish there was more food options and especially food that’s open all night. One visit all the restaurants closed like an hour early so we missed our window to eat and were stuck going to the gas station next door to get snacks. That’s not the norm, and we also plan to eat well before closing, but sometimes you’re just up at 3am and need some solid food.We’ve been at the cafe a few times recently and the staff is always super friendly, service is fast, food is delicious.

Make sure to check that the gym pools and other attractions are open. We were extremely disappointed that we couldn't use a hot tub or work out of the gym. You are sort of trapped at the hotel paying their extremely high prices. I recommend a trip to the gas station to save some money to bring it back to your hotel room. They say you're not supposed to do this, but just bring it in an extra back. The only way to save a little money.Noteworthy details: The best place was Lewis ray sports bar which had no gambling opportunities. In the rest of the casino, you can smell cigarette smoke including the elevators and up by our rooms which were non-smoking. Most of the people were extremely rude and would cut in front of you when you were trying to gamble. It's great if you're a smoker. And you like rude people.
