If you can avoid filling here, do it at all costs. My family was on vacation and was told repeatedly "sure, we can fill this medicine" for antibiotics for my medically fragile son... Then they had to call the Dr. Because it was sent over as pills. The other antibiotic was sent as an oral suspension and they didn't have enough. Another call to the Dr. Then they told me an emergency supply for one of my son's seizures meds they'd fill up on arrival. When I arrived, they had 5 tablets, not the promised 11. Everything they say is a lie. This was while we were on vacation and due to my husband and son's illness we were already dealing with changing flights, accomodations and car rental. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. They will fail you.

If I could give a negative review I would.I have now twice had to call and check up on my refill. It's been almost 2 weeks.Upon calling I believe I spoke with the same terribly rude female associate in the pharmacy.I was cut off several times while trying to express to her theimportance of a person with my level of suicidal ideation running out of psych meds. I wasn't even able to speak half the sentence.I was then informed its my responsibility to follow up with the doctor as they will only initiate my order.I know this Is NOT true. Walgreens has been my pharmacy for years in Millbrae and never once have i had to wait or follow up.I don't mind if this Walgreens runs different and subpar but there is ZERO excuse for how rude this lady was yo me.Just received word that Walgreens couldn't figure out how to order my milligrams correctly for my medications?!?!? That's all it was?!?!?I was treated rudely because of severe incompetence?!?!?!? This was a awful experience!!!! And I was advised to switch to rite aid asap by my doctor's office because they have such a hard time there as well

Spend 30 mins on hold about the status of a prescription.Attendant picks up to say my prescription is not stocked. I try to ask additional question about filling a different RX, she just hangs up. Doesn’t let me finish my sentence. Unbelievably bad service

Location is inconsistent with availability of the drive-thru pharmacy, most of the time it’s unavailable with a sign instructing people to go inside. I just wish they would place a construction cone blocking the drive-thru lane if it’s closed, you only find out the window is closed when you’re in front of it.

This Walgreens has consistently disappointing service across the store for many years. Here's my typical experience: I come in to pick up a prescription my doctor sent them over a week before. At first the pharmacy can't find me in their records, even though I use them regularly. They look a little more, find me, but can't find my prescription. Then they look a little more and find it in their computer, but say the prescription wasn't filled yet so could I come back later? It doesn't matter if there is no line and they aren't busy. The convenient location is the only reason I come back, but I am so tempted to drive further for a pharmacy that can do its job. Also the FedEx service is very slow and it is difficult to get help anywhere in the store, for instance accessing products that are locked up.

I hate to post this but do not come here for any pharmacy or vaccine needs unless you’re prepared to constantly wait and / or come to a closed pharmacy. Even with a vaccine appointment, you need to wait 40 minutes! It feels like they don’t hire enough people to help with the lines. Doesn’t seem the fault of any of the employees, but the way management runs this place

I received an email from Walgreens telling me my order was ready for pickup. They also sent several text messages telling me to prepay my order for quicker service. I decided to try the prepay option and added a couple of things to my prescription. When I prepaid the order, I received an email stating I could go through the drive thru to pick up. This morning I received an email and a text stating my order was ready for pickup.I went to Walgreens this evening and the drive thru was closed. I parked and went inside. I went to the pharmacy and the lady working said my order wasn't paid for. If it were paid for I would have received a 5-digit code. I told her I never received a code. I showed her the email that said it was paid for. She again said it wasn't and brought another lady. The other lady said the same thing and then they helped someone else. I asked if they were done helping me and then the pharmacist came around. He told me it wasn't paid for and if it was, I would have a 5-digit code. The pharmacist told me to call customer support tomorrow (Monday). There was a line, so I paid the prescriptions again. They embarrassed me and humiliated me.I went to find a manager so she could explain this to me. I told her about the situation at the pharmacy. She brought me up to the photo dept and found my order. The shift lead in photo said it was paid for. I asked her to explain that to the pharmacy dept. She walked back there with me. I asked to speak to the pharmacist and the 2 female employees. They said they were never trained about the prepay system. The pharmacist said he told me to call customer support on Monday. He could have easily found a manager and asked about my order rather than turning me away without my order. The shift lead said she would take care of my order. The shift lead was very kind and wanted to fix the situation.I transferred my prescriptions from CVS to Walgreens but after this horrible customer service, I will go back to CVS.

Please rehire this stores Staff rude/lazy employees. Shut it down or rehire! Worst family ran Walgreens ever. Now it is clear why the turn over at this location is so high. Everytime there is a new face at the pharmacy.

Clearly, this store is more interested in selling cigarettes, candy and junk instead of being a good resource for medications.Just look at the tiny percentage of space dedicated to medications vs all the other items. In fact, the much of the cold meds are nearly unreachable due to their location behind a support pillar.The baby vapor rub is not with the baby items, nor is it anywhere near the other vapor rub. Yeah, that's what a worried parent wants to do at the drug store, waste time looking for stupidly hard to find items.I'm hoping to see a CVS open in town soon. They seem to take the core mission of supplying medicine far more seriously than Walgreens.Note the placement of the cold meds in the picture. It's an F you to sick people. All their junk food and tobacco is easy to find though. That's their priority.Please don't support this business.

maybe one of the slowest and most pathetic pharmacies on this planet. took them over 45 minutes to issue me my covid booster & flu shot. I showed up on time, no one in front of me, had scheduled my appointment online, filled out the forms online. And yet some reason I had to sit around and wait? Pathetic

Staff is always friendly and helpful. waiting time depends on the customers ahead of you as the staff wont be rude to those customers that cant read the shelf prices or the ads. Many complain or cant decide whether to buy an item. it's like those that are at a family restaurant and get impatient waiting for their order It's simple that wait time is longer as people change,add,or ask for things on the side when they order. stop blaming employees it's not fair. those who work at this Walgreens arent lazy or slow customers hold things up

Horrendous customer service. They’ve got $6 deodorant locked up. I hit the help button and it announces to the store that someone in that aisle needs help. Watched 3 people at the front doing nothing chit chat and stare into space for 5 mins. Left the store in frustration but realized I couldn’t turn around where I was parked and go to Safeway. Came back in and just got it done eventually but never coming back. These stores need to understand that in protecting pennies they are losing dollars. And costumer service is everything in stores like this.

Had a prescription called in by my doctor 3 hours earlier. Went to pick it up and waited in line for 30 min @ 1:30 pm on a Wednesday and once I got to the front of the line the staff had not even filled the script (a simple bottle of pills). I then waited another 10 min. This is not my first negative encounter with this particular Walgreens branch. 2 years ago I was overcharged $45 on a script and was not issued a refund after multiple complaints. I've used Walgreens as my primary pharmacy for years and the typical procedure when a prescription is called in the staff fills it quickly then calls the customer to notify them it is ready for pick up. I'm not sure where the break down is at this branch but it is obvious staff is not competent at following corporate procedural standards. I will NOT use this branch again and I would not recomend it to anyone.

Updating to include: After 3 separate calls regarding some "confusion" about our Rx savings card expiration, we were charged FOUR times for our prescription today.Think your Rx is ready for pick up? Better double check.Expecting less than 15 minutes for your already "ready" Rx? Lol. Might as well bring a book and take a seat.My dog has a xanax Rx we pick up every month. Better double count your pills in front of them! They only gave us 30 when the bottle indicated the usual count of 60.I loathe coming here.

This Walgreens runs a dysfunctional pharmacy... Be warned. Do not send your loved ones here when they need their medications because chances are their orders will not be filled correctly or in time. Absolutely unacceptable when so many other Walgreens can run a flawless pharmacy, yet this one continues to disappoint.

I love the employees because the ALWAYS say hello and welcome to Walgreens! The f t into cashier named Belinda ALWAYS says hello, and when you leave she ALWAYS says "Thank you, be well"!!! The reason I couldn't do 5 stars because of one of the Pharmacist decided to take control of my medications. I drop off my scripts and then I wait for the txt msg saying my medication is ready for pick up. The pharmacists refused to give me my medication because it was too early (within the recommended time). If it was too early my insurance will deny the refill request. Well, my prescription was ready, I went to pick it up. The pharmacists had my meds in her hand and proceeded to yell at me and proceeded to tell me that I have to wait until the next day. It just so happens to be my anxiety medication. The following month when I went to see my doctor, I had explained to her what had happened and my doctor was very upset at what the pharmacist did to me and intends to file a proper complaint!!!! If the employees weren't as nice as the are I would go somewhere else. Per my doctor, she no longer wants ne to have my meds filled at the Palmetto location......or Walgreens for that matter. Same medication for well over 8 years and tbey STILL don't know how to bill for tbe same medications. So I send the request early so I DON'T RUN OUTTA MEDS DUE TO THE LACK KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING. Ive even been told it was MY responsibility to call my insurance company!!!! UGH.....

Pacifica doesn't many options where to go for medication. Lately, this store lake on supplies. Customers service is friendly sometimes. Now that some articles are locked take a while to some associates to come around and help. I know pandemic has impacted all of us in some way. However, service shouldn't be.

Buyer beware even if your doctor writes a refill on your pain meds they will not honor it. Also if you do not have insurance they will continually raise the prices of meds on you.The rest of the store is pretty decent and well stocked. The staff is usually very friendly and willing to answer questions or show you where something is located ., just be mindful of the pharmacy.

This review is for the pharmacy.Such terrible service!! They don't even check if they can fulfill an order. I waited a full day for a prescription that they don't even carry. I found out 10 Mins before closing just to hear some lame excuse.No consideration for the drive through, people wait at the window until they fill the order. Terrible wait time.

I've been here many times, and the staff are great. Super nice (almost all Filipino-americans), and helpful. They are very nice and patient with the elderly, and everyone else. They should win an award for customer service. Nice people, nice store. I've pretty much always found what I was looking for there.

Called 8:10am Friday. Emergency prescription refill. Their automated system says "We're having system problems" Hung up. If you get a real person, they're a normal DMV employee. EDIT: had MD call in the prescription at 8:30am since I couldn't get through. Arrived at 10:45 - "still working on it". Had to wait 15 mins. Let's face it, this place isn't reliable. It's a drive away for me, but go to Millbrae or San Mateo (best). As other posters have said, the lady cashier greets and goodbyes you effusively, but Go Somewhere Else.

Scheduled covid booster, receive 2 email confirmations, go to my appt, no more booster, claimed they tried to phone us, no phone. Why would you phone when you emailed for the confirmations? Lousy place, disorganized, people inside seem lost and kind of stupid.

They cannot keep track of prescription refills. I had one refill left, had the doctor send in an update refill, filled my rx and now somehow i have zero refills left even though he sent in an update for 6 months. 1+6-1=6 not 0.

Awful pharmacy, possibly the worst experience I've had. The lady who answered the phone literally asked me which medicine to refill, the ones with refills or the ones without. Her whole demeanor was just awful, from the moment she answered the phone to the part where I still ended up getting the wrong medicine refilled. I think the DMV is missing one of their employees.

I moved to the 500 block of Palmetto Ave. Sept. 2015. And I go to Walgreens almost everyday. Cashiers are friendly and management helpful. I haven't been disappointed yet. Thanks

They me several times that I did not have insurance when I gave them my correct insurance card. I had to have my insurance call them. They told other people they also didn’t have insurance and they were older. Hopefully people aren’t becoming more infected or sick because the Walgreens staff is incompetent 🙁
