Used to buy bird food from this location for all my life and it was great. Ever since the new owners took over, however, this location has a massive rodent infestation. I have seen countless bags of bird food eaten into by the rodents and have complained to the staff at least three times about it over the past few months. The last bag of bird food I bought had an infestation of fleas that I only discovered once I got home and opened the bag, something that has never happened to me before.Today I went in and could not find a single bag of food suitable for my local birds that wasn't destroyed by rodents. Absolutely disgusting, a total 180 from how the previous owners ran the place. :(

i had stripped a screw on a device that was hard to get to and the screw was really small (2mm). so this real tall guy quickly noticed me looking around the store and offered to help. he looked at all the different screws available and screw removers, and then he tried to unscrew it for me and it worked! he loosened it up enough and it came out. that was a HUGE help to me. thank you for taking the time to help me like that!

Friendly, helpful service. Not a huge nursery, but I have always managed to get most of what I want. My place to go for veggie plants and flowers. There is also a lumber yard that has come in handy.

Fantastic hardware store - has most everything you could possibly need, and it's open on Sundays! 10 out of 10, nice people, good power tool selection (red and yellow) loads of fasteners, good amount of plants and pots

These guys!!! Oh my. Let me tell you: Whenever I go there they are ready to help. Super friendly. Kate and the curly head blond guy went above and beyond to help me today. I am not great at home improvement projects but with my "friends" help at Linda Mar Ace I feel like I could take on any project. I so appreciate them. I hope they stay around as long as I live here.

Helpful staff, plentiful parking, and a great paint department. Also have thousands of items that are easy to order in store, in case they don't have the size or shape in-store that you need.They are set far enough back from the beach that they usually don't have a million beach tourists parking in their lot in summer, unlike the strip malls close to the beach.

I'm not sure I'm qualified to review a hardware store. But in the spirit of the internet, I still do it - so there it is.A couple of weeks ago I came to this store for the second time (I've been in other Ace stores before, so I knew the concept). My objective was to buy material for a project I started a few weeks before: building an activity board for my one year old toddler. (Google what it is :-)).So I've been wandering around in the store to browse for random things to connect to this piece of wood and hope it's safe enough for a toddler to play with it. The variety of "stuff" they have is impressive so it took me a while to get a good overview. The friendly staff kept asking me if I need help, but I declined saying "I'm just browsing". I'm sure they thought I wasn't going to buy anything and might even steal a thing.After being asked for the fifth time I gave in and explained what I was building. The guy helped me find a couple of things and even came to me later with a suggestion (battery powered light with a switch). Great at upwelling ;-)Overall a great place to buy things I didn't know existed and my daughter loves the bright red activity board with a variety of locks, wheels and other things connected to it.Thanks Ace :-)

Ace IS the place where knowledgeable shoppers shop. They always have what I need, when I need it..Except when you can get what you want for curbside pickup. So I am placing an order today, for 9" plastic pots, and the plastic pots that are deep enough to hold vigorously water until you replace that water with more. Morning and evening.That's why am lacing an order TODAY.

The Linda Mar Ace is one of my favorite hardware stores. Terrific staff, easy parking and reasonable selection. If you're after something a touch esoteric, it might pay to call first, but the phone always gets answered and they know what they have on the shelves. Always a great experience.

Ace is a great store. They have almost everything you need for your home and project. Staff here is great. They're actually really really funny if you stand around an aisle and listen to them talk when it's slow it's truly entertaining. I will go back Often.

I was asked for my phone numbers twice at the register, I politely told the guy at the register my home number, looking at his register, he said I can't find your phone number, do you have another phone? I again responded by giving my cell phone number. Then I asked why do you need my phone number anyways? He didn't say anything. Disbelieving I then showed him my CDL and my credit card and left the store. I was furious! I called the manager when I got home and spoke to her of the incident. I was told that the clear intention of asking phone numbers is for me to become a member of that store so you can get discounts. I said that should have been communicated in the beginning. I could have said NO right away. This was my first time to ever come to this store and I will not ever come here to shop again.

I'm always underwhelmed.Quality: What they have is just fine, well within expectations for a hardware store, but nothing extreme in the mix.Appeal: Cobwebs. Empty or lightly stocked shelves. Finding what I want can be a challenge. If you've always shopped here I bet it's just fine, but a newcomer to town can end up wandering about hoping to stumble into what they are looking for - despite the signs.Service: The staff is friendly and polite. When I'm lost in the aisles I have to approach them first, but they do then help.

I go to this store to buy potting soil. Its on sale. And I get the receipt and head back with help to carry it. I look down at the receipt and she over charged me!!! I told the man with me to wait. And I went to the same woman at the check out, and told her the problem. She then LIED and said that I said I had no Ace reward card. Then I could not get my money back. Then she wanted me to pay again. And I already paid!!! I left with no dirt and 15 dollars off my. Bank card...Maybe they will return my money when they want. And the woman said I was rude???? Unbelievable. I like the plants there. But I went to San Bruno to Lowes. I heard Ace is going out of business. I can understand. Thats ridiculous.

This is a great local store. I regularly save 15 minutes of driving to Home Depot or 20 minutes to Lowes, and this place has almost everything I need for a weekend project. Just picked up some bolts, wing nuts and washers -- and it only took 1 minute to find the right size/type (stainless), as the staff here are extraordinarily helpful and respectful. No matter what on Earth I need, they try and locate the items. I also save 15 minutes driving back from the big chains, where it's difficult to find someone who know where everything is and is really available to help. Regularly buy garden supplies, paint, caulking, plumbing supplies, etc. at Ace. Staff is courteous, and willing to lug that heavy Propane Canister for you rather than stand by and just watch. Great place, convenient location, great staff and good value. Check it out (root beer by the counter is also good).

Shop at the Manor Ace it blows away this dump! Its so dark in this store that u can’t even see what your buying. High prices and the staff are not friendly. I think their bitter b/c their so bored w nothing to do.Again worth the drive to Manor Ace. It’s a real hardware store with full shelves and lighting!!

Store is tucked a little out of the way, but a great find. If you need it they have it. May not have the same size selection that you get from a big box store, but they have the supplies to get the job done and friendly staff as well.

I've lived on the Coastside for 25 years and Linda Mar Ace has been my trusted hardware source from day one. Kate, Linda, Karl and all the staff are friendly and always helpful. The coffee is better than Starbucks's. And the prices are competitive and fair. Erlene in the Garden Center is a jewel. Even COVID didn't stop these wonderful folks from serving Pacifica and the Coastside. And I am one of the grateful ones. Thank you!
