Such a rude lady at cashier counter. She didn’t respond to my hello. That’s fine. Then while billing, she carelessly tossed my egg tray over. I checked and saw she broke one egg. I pointed it and then she couldn’t see it. Of course I checked the eggs before picking them. I pointed hard and then she saw the cracked egg and asked her helper to get a fresh one. Helper was dropping most of the stuff while packing. So glad o don’t happen to live in this neighborhood. Pity to those who have to tolerate this. Not sure whether she is rude to everyone or just being racist with me. Tons of 2 star reviews speak volumes about the place. However, another south Asian cashier was really sweet and helped me with the restroom directions.

My wife warned me about Safeway produce! And now I know! Bought 32oz. Organics Red Seedless Grapes for $7.00 and the display said $5.00. Also, 1/3 of the grapes had MoLd! Didn't see the mold 'cuz it was inside the bunch & not visible from the outside. Won't be shopping Safeway!

My 5 star review is not for the store itself, but for one of the amazing employees.I went in looking for a very specific salad dressing and asked one employee where it might be located.He told me which isle, but it wasn't there.While walking out, I passed an employee named Tina.She was busy working, but seemed approachable so I asked her if she knew where it might be located.She told me which isle to look, but then walked me over to show me.No luck again, but I thanked her none the less and proceeded to leave the store.I was almost to my car when I hear a woman's voice YELLING something, but I'm not paying attention to what she's saying.That's when another customer in the parking lot yells to me that I left my salad dressing in the store.I then realize it's Tina that's doing the yelling looking for ME!She's not only has a bottle of the dressing in her hand, but the LAST bottle of the dressing!She explained to me that she'd thought of one other location it may have been and it was in fact there.She then proceeded to run out the door to find me before I'd left!I was so impressed with her and thanked her for the effort.What a nice person to go above and beyond to help me for what I was looking for.The safeway store itself is not the best safeway around locally.It's smaller than all the other safeway stores, and to be honest most of the employees there give me the impression they don't really want to be there.Not Tina.She takes pride in her work and it really does show.Thank you, Tina.I hope you had a great Halloween with your grand children.I look forward to coming back and saying hi.

Went there on Sunday 6/6/21 at 11:30AM and they only had one cash register open with a line going all the way to the end of the aisle with at least 10 people waiting in line. Only after I started taking pictures did they start opening more registers. Took us 15 minutes in line to get checked out. Only go there if you have lots of time on your hands to wait in line.

I love Safeway, period! It’s just another Safeway. I stopped by this location for some quick shopping, and everything seems perfect. The store is absolutely clean and well stocked. I love it and absolutely recommend.

One of the smallest Safeway's I've ever visited, but it still provided a nice selection of baked goods, non-perishables, produce, wine 🍷, and frozen items. I was disappointed they did not carry/ or have on hand any skinless boneless chicken thighs. It was very clean, organized, and not very busy @ 08:20 a.m. Bonus was that my phone # I entered, for the members saving discount, came up because I had already had one with Alberson's grocery stores.

I needed some black beans there is no la costeña beans! Or any good Mexican brands in that store, I've seen so many Latinos around this area I don't get why there is no good Mexican products at their Hispanic section the ones they have are really bad quality.The smallest Safeway I've been to, so far the times that I stopped by have not waited on line too long, it is small but only one time I was not able to fine was I was looking for every other visit I got what I needed..

The worst safeway I have ever visited, I left an entire review on Yelp yet this location is not worth my breath to repeat it all.Long story short: Employees are rude, incompetent, and entitled. Employees argue with you straight to your face and if you stand your ground, they laugh at you. Do your best not to shop here unless you are good with incompetent employees and have an ironclad patience.

Cashiers always seem to hate their jobs, not very friendly, always talking to the bagger and ignoring the customer. Also, very poor selection as far as a grocery store goes, even given the smaller size.

Nice small Safeway store. It has everything you need but the selection is limited slightly by the small space. Bakery, Hot food counter, and sandwich counter. There is a Starbucks inside and a small outdoor seating area to have lunch at. Conveniently located and easy entrance and exit.

It's small compared to the one back home in Hawaii but it should have mostly everything you need. The workers remind me of the workers back home. Small town and relaxed. Not hustling and bustling to "work" but they get things done. It's never really busy whenever I go there. It's a nice place.

I had no issues tonight although I only went in to get formula for my newborn. The cashier seemed tired and didn’t make any kinda small talk(totally understandable since I used to be a cashier).Other then that it’s a smaller store but convenient!

It's a mini Safeway with limited items. Watch out for Brent with attitude. He didnt want to open his check out even if his light was on. Told me to be patient while I waited to be checked out.

They live up to their name. The store itself is set up in a bit of a disorganized fashion, items should be grouped a little better. The employees are friendly, work hard, and the parking lot is easily navigated. Feels like a breath if fresh air walking in and out of here thanks to a pleasant experience.

Enjoyed our shopping experience. Super nice staff. Clean and well stocked. Starbucks is here as well which is super awesome. This Safeway is beautifully situated around some lovely views so after grocery shopping we sat outside with our coffees and enjoyed the mountains and fresh air.

Everything nicely displayed. Our cart locked inside the store. Someone from the bakery quickly assisted us by removing the lock. Cashier, Santos was helpful answering my questions about Just 4 You prices and scanning with use of the app. He brought to my attention coupons made available. His smile and positive comments made our shopping experience a pleasure in Pacific Grove, CA.

Love the convenience and prices at this store! It is extremely clean and the staff will always go above and beyond to take care of your needs! The management is fantastic and the staff is crazy nice! We appreciate the selection you have over a couple other places... however you lost a star (and us as customers.. we go to Lucky now) because your lines guys!!... I mean seriously 😒 it’s super disheartening to “run to the store” for 2 things and get stuck standing behind 12 people... OR WE COULD GO TO THE ONE OTHER AVAILABLE CHECKOUT AND STAND BEHIND 14 people... SELF-CHECKOUT LINES PLEASE!!! The last THREE times my husband has went into your store.. he has turned right back around and went to lucky instead!

Derek at this location deserves 10 stars out of 5 - he is wonderful! As the only bagger on a Friday evening, he had a long line of customers and was managing a bagging attendant - he was so collected, professional, and displayed so much ability that he deserves GIANT kudos. Thanks for being awesome!!

Ok store, but only 2 registers open and no express check-out line open. The 2 check-out counters had lines going almost to the end of the aisle. At least 30-min wait to check out with a few items. I get there is staff shortages, but this seemed a bit extreme...? Would also add that went to Trader Joe's right after and there were at least 6 check-out counters open.

I have been to this store twice. The first time I did an online grocery pick up. I arrived and checked in on the app. 10 minutes went by no one came to drop off my online grocery order. Tried calling the phone number twice no one answered by this time 20 minutes had gone by. Went into the store and could not find anyone to help me. Finally got a cashiers attention to find they dont have anyone in that department at that time! I came back to the store today to do in person shopping after my online pick up order experience and the person bagging my groceries did not look well at all and was coughing and trying not to cough repeatedly while bagging my groceries. I WILL NOT be back a third time to this store and will NOT recommend this store to anyone!

My husband and I went to the Pacific Grove Safeway to find the little box of food coloring. We had gone to other Safeway’s with no luck as we were looking where the gel icing was located. So we tried the PG store. We couldn’t find any and walked out. Megan, a Safeway associate, was outside and asked if we were having a problem finding something as we were empty handed. We told her what we were looking for and we went back inside. She walked farther down the aisle to where the spices were, and there were all the boxes of food coloring!She was so helpful and kind! We were very impressed and thankful. The food coloring was needed by 12:30 fora district summer school science experiment presentation at the district office. We arrived at Safeway at 10:30. Thanks to Magen we were able to get the food coloring and make it in time.Marsha KennedyCarmel, CA

This store used to be the best small Safeway. Management needs to train the cashier's the only good one there is Frankie. The store isn't opened at 5 am like the website says its always about 5:10.

So rude!! The guy at the deli was annoyed by my one simple question and hung up on me before I could ask the second one because he “had to go”. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the nice lady who answered when I called back answered my questions perfectly and she didn’t sound irritated with her entire existence.
