Grove Market is a remnant from the past, in a complementary way.It’s located on Forest Ave, near Lighthouse, and has a nice parking lot, which allows a quick in and out.The grocery selection is carefully curated, you can find specialty and gourmet items (like the French Poodle’s salad dressing), as well as basic household cleaning items. The bakeries that deliver are the highest caliber, and their meat department, produce, and dairy are all high quality.The hot, prepared foods offer the busy person a really nice selection of tasty meals and side dishes. I frequently stop in for a roasted chicken, when I’m on the run. Locals who don’t feel like cooking can really capitalize on this.Wednesdays are chicken-pot-pie days, and they make a certain amount that usually sell out by midday. They are excellent!!! Their grab and go sandwiches are really reasonable, taste super fresh, and are the perfect size.Definitely a place we shop at sometimes.

Lively little neighborhood market like a high level “convenience” store with a robust and well and organized product selection. Fresh meat market, well organized and focused customer interface. Maybe a little pricier, but well suited for the locals who need easy access to groceries for small “ish” households or meals. Need to explore more. It was just a nice shopping experience for me.

A favorite stop when visiting the peninsula. The hot food/deli counter provides quick and tasty meals. They always patiently answer my questions about ingredients, which is important due to my allergies. There's also a fair sized parking lot, which can be a rare find in the Monterey Bay area where land is at such a premium.

Absolutely wonderful communitymarket run by an Amah Mutsun elder and great staff. It is a small place with amazing selections of their own jams & jellies, literally the best fresh-squeezed orange juice i have ever had (get the bigger bottle, trust me), and just a really lovely vibe all around. Prices are reasonable and the place is homey, not touristy. An Indigenous-run business thriving in a real community. Amazing!!!

I tend to only shop here for one or two things when I need to. The items are really overpriced, but the food at the deli counter is good and the staff is usually pretty nice.

This is a great little convenience store. The service is fine, and I stop by to pickup pastries and a few specialty items. A few things that could improve: prices are pretty high and should be lowered for some items, the hot food bar could use additional or healthier options, and implementing sales occasionally would be nice.

This place needs a remodel. They do have a nice selection through the middle of the store. The perimeter is disappointing. The meat looked past prime. Not sure where the prepared foods from photos have gone? Maybe a covid casualty.

Wonderful local grocer! They have a great selection of local produce, products, and a fantastic butcher. This is a great place to pick up a great cut for dinner. The butcher is very thoughtful, and will even recommend pairings and optimal cooking times. They even carry locally prepared side dishes for a simplified meal.

Wonderful family owned local super market in the middle of Pacific Grove. Good selection, fresh produce and a real butcher shop with great meats, fish, poultry as well as freshly baked meals to go. All of everything that you need for a fully prepared picnic by the beach or in the park with a good bottle of wine or two. Very friendly staff that very helpful. Good selection of Gluten Free options if you are interested.

It's a cute, quaint store with a great cooked food section, but the quaintness means also a limited selection. The items seem to be nicer, more expensive brands but that doesn't mean they'll have what you want.Additionally, for as expensive as your bill will be they don't take American Express. Obviously there are other ways to pay, but we all have our brand loyalty. How the fact a small coffee stand pop up with Square can take all cars types and a large, expensive grocery store won't boggles my mind. Hell, charge a bit of a sure charge for Amex, the bill is so big anyway who would notice?

My 'go to' place for quality meats and good, fresh veggies. They even make their own delicious Orange Juice! Their take out deli items are a neighborhood favorite and go fast. Holiday meat orders get the personal touch as do you with any thing you might want to order. This is one neighborhood market where no one is a stranger and they meet their stellar reputation as an exceptional market. For me, they actually surpass it. Enjoy!

Nostalgic quality in the high quality of locally sourced items. Breads, cheese, wines. Sweet little deli with hot items like fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, salads in the case. Butcher shop case full of beautiful cuts. Always excellent vegetables and fruits. Plus employees who care and are helpful.

Great local market with plenty of meats and produce. Prices are the same as supermarkets or slightly more, but altogether a much more positive experience. Friendly staff and customers. You get the feeling this is where the townspeople shop and that it has a role in the community. The customers know the people who work there and vice versa. It’s cool that places like this still exist. I plan on making this my primary grocery store because I hope places like this remain part of American culture. Also, quality of food seems higher across the store.

Wonderful little community grocery store. They carry a great selection of wine though limited. Everything you need for staples. They also have fresh donuts and probably the best meat counter in Pacific Grove. The staff are all very friendly and happy to help.

Great home town market. They carry lots of locally produced veggies and prepared food----including their own. Love the Clover milk, Marianne's ice cream and other local products they carry. Their deli and meats are excellent and are a good way to get a quick and tasty meal. Thanks, Charlie!

I've been coming here for years...they have the very best meat. I don't buy everything here, but it's a landmark as far as I'm concerned. The owner is very nice...maybe too nice. Lol
