We took our pup there once and likes there service but next time we needed him groomed we called a few times and left messages no one ever returned our calls. Stopped in on a Saturday and they were half an hour from closing so they couldn’t fit our pup in. The girl apologized for not returning our calls and told us to come back on Sunday at 9:00 and they would open up for our pup. They are closed on Sunday but said they would make an exception and come in to service our pup. We thought that was really nice of them but we waited for them until 9:30 Sunday morning and they never showed up!! Not returning phone calls and standing customers up is not the way to run a business!!

Our dog was neglected and left by the side of the road by his previous owners. We adopted him and thank goodness we found Pet Island Groomers! They did an amazing job making 'Lucky' feel new again! They were very informative, fast and the price was extremely worth it! Thank you SO much for all you did for our Lucky dog

I took my dog to this place to have hair removed that was stuck in his teeth (due to allergies) and have his hair shaved and not only were they able to remove the hair but they were also able to shave him exactly how I wanted. I showed them a picture from when my dog was shaved by another groomer and I loved how the groomer had shaved him and they were able to do just that. The woman who took care of my dog was so nice and I am so glad I heard about this place. Thank you Pet Island Grooming for taking care of my Baby!

My dog was only suppose to get a hair trim and nail clip but she came back with rashes and hives all over her. They will not answer their phone now. Will have to take pup to the vet. Do NOT go here. They gashed her leg in a few spots. Looks like they ripped the hair off her under eyes, they are completely bare and looked like they were bleeding. With such a sue happy state, I’m surprised they’re not more on top of it. Good luck pet island!

I recommend Pet Island Grooming to everyone looking for a groomer for their pet. I've never met or been to a groomer that cares so much about your pet. She's great with my dog and she's very friendly. She does a great job and quick. Prices are very reasonable. Just give her a try.

I called them a few times to try scheduling an appointment for my dog but they won’t pick up. Says a lot about their business. They’re either thriving or just failing because they don’t seem to want more clients. I’m in the military and don’t always have time so I’m not going to bother with this place again. Pay attention to the low reviews people… they’re not just there for no reason.

We took our dog Tito to Island Grooming, he came back very happy and he smelled so good for at least 2 1/2 weeks, that is great! These girls are the best. The dogs are safe and they cannot run out.

This is ridiculous, my first time trying to take my dog & as an appointment & we couldn't find the place as we are not familiar with Oxnard. We were constantly calling the place to get better direction but no answer. We arived 12 minutes late & they said, the groomer left & that they won't have another opening until Wednesday. Not a good way to run a business, poor communication & no wiggle room for timing/adjustment. Waste of my time & gas coming from Ventura.

This place is great. The service here was perfect and my dog left clean and happy. Most places my dog will run the opposite direction of the business. Here at pet island Laura shows compassion for the dogs and treats my baby the way I treat him.Thank you, Laura

Service is unprofessional i have to leave some other compromise for later be cause the girls set appointment for my dog today and say they will call me for any changes and never call me take my dog in like she say on time then decline to do the service be cause they forgot to call me and they are full for the day so wat the f...... appointment is for is not the right way to do business 👎👎👎👎 i won't recommend this place at alll.......

I took my dog there once and he got a mild gash by his front left leg, we stopped going there fir a while. We took him today and his hair was a bit to long and he was acting wierd. He’s the crazy type of dog but when he came back he was shy, scared, not as energetic, and he was crying a lot.

Great place to take your dogs. I always take my malamute I know he is a difficult one to wash and dry due to all his fur but they did an amazing job on him ♡
