First time ever at a Food Max. This one is located on Oro Dam Blvd in Oroville. This shopping center also has Grocery Outlet...Round Table...and much more.I went here because the last time I went to Raleys in Oroville I noticed the cheese and some of their veggies had mold on them!This place is huge and very clean. Good deals throughout the store! I got the rotisserie chicken for 7.99. Looks good! They have a bakery and also have a good selection of beer and wine. Hard alcohol is also available.There was a few homeless out front...but unfortunately this is a problem in Oroville.I will definitely shop here again...tons of selections! Who doesn't like to save money!Big thanks to Martin! Friendly and helpful cashier !

This is the most horrific grocery store I have ever seen.When I reached into the bin of onions and immediately, to my horror, I watched the onions instantly liquefy to my touch, which I thought was pretty bad, but the explosion of small gnats/flies from the bottom of the bin made me retch in place.I didn't find any deals of note either. Didn't buy anything.

Usually I would give a better rating. But I was a little disappointed because there was no whole milk or eggs to speak of. I would think that one of the towns largest food suppliers would be a little more prepared for the holidays is all other than that I love foodmax.

I visited the store to buy a cake for my husband on his birthday. Saw this masterpiece and simply could not leave it. Called the store later and found out that the manager had made the cake on a whim. Wonderful creativity and my husband simply could not stop laughing.

I found great prices here. Only I was to slow at the self checkout and I bagged each item after I scanned it, apparently we scan all items pay then bag ..duh .. Walmart let's u bag after I scan so I got confused...I'd still shop there again tho. 5 ⭐s

I'm giving 4 stars. At the end of the day this is a fine grocery store with good selection and decent prices. Sometimes they have forklifts blocking the aisles and big ladders in the way. I know they have to stock, of course.

The produce is always atrocious and no matter how many complaints are filed they refuse to clean the displays and remove the rotten produce. To make matters worse, the meat department was entirely cross contaminated by old blood and the chicken packages were so bloody that when I picked up a package the blood poured down my wrist like I cut myself. Dirty. Disgusting. Unacceptable. Do NOT waste your time or money here.

Good prices. Today I bought Top Round sliced for only $2.99 a lb. Made a Beef Salad with Spring Mix, Onions, Tomatoes Asian Cucumber. All ingredients from Food max.

As it is one of a couple grocery stores in the city, the items are overpriced. The store is not recovered and is messy. It doesn't seem to carry a lot of the normal items a grocery store would . The parking lot itself is scary and I would be worried about parking there at night. A lot of homeless people outside.

I have to say I was a bit disappointed with my shopping experience today. Most of the things I went in for they did not have. I did get a very good price on a meat package. There meat section is very good. Employees are helpful.

This place is not a great place to work or shop. I hate every time I go to game stop and I see the food maxx crew drinking hard liquor and smoking pot outside and there is a guy in the morning in the morning named Devon selling pot on the job. This place should not exist

Im tired of going shoping here and the so called homeless guy with no legs in the wheelchair that rolls around in the parking lot a nd i see all kinds of people handing him money cause they feel sorry for him DO NOT DO THIS HE GETS A 3 THOUSAND DOLLAR SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK EVERYMONTH I LOOKED INTO IT DONT BE FOOLED. He has thousands in the bank and still begs for money and is on the streets when he doesnt have to be.

I hope someone who works there sees this but Angie makes some amazing cookies, I’ve had some that had a different name on them but they weren’t nearly as good even though it was the same m&m cookie with presumably the same recipe. If the cookies have her name on em I’m buying them every time 😊

I don't shop here often, but like to check it out now and then because prices are usually pretty good. When I arrived at the store all of the carts were in the parking lot. That was a first. I had to walk back out and round one up. The store needs to be emptied and reorganized in my opinion. I always walk more than I should have to looking for the products I want. On this trip I was happier with the produce area than I have been in the past. The organics section had what I needed and there seemed to be more "grown in the USA" items available. I did find various isles blocked by stockers and their equipment. This is probably normal for late Sunday afternoon, but still annoying. On a positive note the FoodMaxx bakery always has the best pumpkin pie you can buy and are well stocked during the Holidays. Get the 11 inch pie, it's the best!

Don't buy your meat from here. The butcher is a sneak. I bought a prime rib and the butcher had cut out the center part of the roast all the way through. I was so upset. My whole dinner was ruined.

Has actually been noticeably getting better pricing, more variety, remaining in stock, the staff can be helpful others flat rude and irritating. The store seems to be being kept more clean in appearance and organized though the parking lot is the same filthy and that's from the people in this town being disrespectful and the homeless living up to people's expectation and not being clean.

Great shop for groceries~ We've found the produce is nice and trustworthy (holds up well if we don't cook it right away). Also a great place to get generic birthday cakes that taste great and work for all occasions (surprisingly difficult to find around this town for some reason).

On this visit. O5-02-2022 at 10:27 am.Very rude female employee at self checkout on this visit. She pretty much scolded me because an item wouldn't scan. Yelled at me as if I should have known I was suppose to manually enter the small numbers printed under the bar code. Never have been told about that requirement or had to do it for any of the other items when using self checkout at this business or any other business with self checkout. When she tried entering the numbers after I told her to input the numbers and still had a problem getting an error four times, she ended up going to a different screen requiring a security code I'm sure not available to customers for security purposes inorder to finally get the item to ring up. When I pointed that fact out, she waved her hand in front if my face in a dismissive manner and said, "it didn't matter because she got it entered now!" Then just walked away. As I was leaving this same employee saw that I was looking at here name tag to note her name (I am not sure if I am allowed to say her name on this app so I will just say it starts with a C), the employee walked past me very fast and with a angry look on her face, yelled have a nice day. When I said you too and stated her name, folliwed by asking if I had stated her name correctly, she refused to answer, ignored me and went to stand with her back to me at the station in front of the self check.

I'm not really a fan of this store. I had a problem with the night supervisor once when I had everything worked out with several employees and the store manager to return some money that they shorted me in my change due. And this guy refused to give it to me. I had to come back the following day. The store manager couldn't understand why his employee did this. But it cost me a 35 mile drive to get my $30 dollars back. Plus, they're meat selection is poor.

If you visit the same place every time you buy food it might surprise you if you haven't been to foodMaxx in a while. It feels like a new store going in there. Food and whatever's all the way to ceiling. Just a good experience. Competitive pricing for sure.

If you want to fill your water, make sure you bring your own jug. The water jugs they provide are not sanitary, due to the fact that they remove all the caps to the new water jugs they have to offer.

Prices are Groovy. Some Shelves are stocked of the things I use. While others are sometimes bare. Which means those must be the hotter items that people buy more of before leaving the store.I enjoy looking at the price tags for Maxx Savings.

The store is clean & well stocked, employees are great. However, this is the only store if been to that is pushing the hardest for NO cash. All self checkout is NO cash. Update; mostly back to normal, cash is ok.

Prices are not bad here. I always buy a big bag of ice as it is a good price. Employees are friendly and helpful. Have pretty good luck at finding decent tasting fruit. Has a nice selection.
