We stopped in for some coffee and a bite and it was so yummy. We got the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwiches with coffee and it all was so good. Jenny was so personable and very sweet.

This is cafe at the Orinda village. It has a surreal vibe, with an old Californian feel, with locals showing up and hanging out starting at 8 am. The service was a little slow as only one person, the owner, I am assuming, was working on Monday morning. The BLT I got was ok, the bacon was overcooked, but the coffee was good. Everything was reasonably priced (in comparison to the prices in this affluent area).

Great place, no matter how busy they are they are always kind, the food is amazing with a homemade flavor. The staff is very patient with kids.

Oh yes, relaxing and fresh lunch spot. Enjoy curry salad sandwich on sunflower wheat bread. Tasty and filling. The corn chowder was a highlight too. Dog friendly place.

Been going here for years, I live a little up the street. A classic "mom an pop" Cafe. They do good coffee, sandwiches, soup, and breakfast bagels/pastries. Not a bad place to take a work call in front to enjoy some sunshine and coffee as well.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.

Didn't get a pic of the sandwich because I was too hungry and started chowing down as soon as it was made. I tried the Curry Chicken Salad Sandwich on Sesame Bread. Delicious!! I will definitely check out some of their other creations. Looks like a serene area to sit outside so hopefully next time, it won't be as windy.

This small bakery has fresh wild blackberry muffins that are perfectly made and very tasty. I also had the coffee frappe made while you wait for your bakery item. Very unique menu from my experience. They have nice tables outside or you can stay inside.I would give it a 5, if not for the problem connecting to the internet. I planned on doing work but unable to connect via their wifi. (Which was free if you can get on it.). I connect just fine at other coffee shops with no problem.

Was at Orinda bart, hungry, looked up sandwich places and found Geppetto's. Called, 5 minutes ahead of time, and when I showed up my Sandwich and salad was ready, grabbed a couple sparkling sodas from the fridge, and left.Clean, organized, and friendly staff, will definitely come back again. Big menu selection, and yes!, very delicious food. Thank you for making my first time at your Cafe a pleasant one.

Great place to meet friends for coffee. Decent scones and a few other traditional coffee counter items. Some local organic food items. They do some actual breakfast items in a kitchen beyond the normal fare.Coffee itself is not great. Not terrible. They do other coffee drinks to boot.Good for larger groups. Can be loud and crowded at times.

Whenever my spouse and I are in or near Orinda and we're ready for lunch, Geppetto's is our go to place. Their cafe food and coffee are excellent and the owners and staff are great, friendly and accommodating folks. They have both indoor and patio seating (way before the pandemic).

Typically I would have given this cafe 5 starsIt used to be owned by an italian woman who did not care for me. The food was wonderful especially their asparagus soup. Now though the joint is owned by another and I dont go there very often. Though I did have the asparagus soup the last time and it is still exceptional.

Informal coffee house across from the golf course. Good for a quick bite for breakfast or lunch. The homemade thick cut sunflower wheat/multi grain bread it to die for! Good salads, especially like the spinach salad. Omnivores love the chicken salad sandwich or ask for a scoop on top of a salad.

Small town neighborhood coffee shop. Outdoor tables across from the big trees & golf course. Gelato, good breakfast & lunch sandwiches, pastries. Calmer and better for a meeting than the chain coffee places. One of the places that gives our town character.

I really want to like this place better but I’ve tried the salad of the day, pastrami and breakfast sandwiches, and all are sub-par in my opinion. Just up the food game and this place would be a better go-to. Hot drinks are good though.

Heard it's really good. I didnt go in but had gotten pulled over by the police for a minor traffic infraction. And let me tell you, the Orinda police are really professional and it was almost a pleasure being pulled over by them. Hey, no one likes to get pulled over. But a great trio of young officers

The homemade sunflower wheat bread alone is worth a visit to Gepetto's. The cafe itself isn't anything too special -- the atmosphere isn't great, but they can make a mean sandwich and have great drink options.My favorite sandwich is the turkey club on sunflower wheat.

Over-rated. Pastries are brought in from ____? And are sub -par. Food is nothing to write home to ANYONE about. Prices are too high for the quality and quantity of the food provided. It's very loud inside and the place reeks of a "more superior than though" attitude that is completely unfounded...

Pretty disappointed as this is a restaurant I frequent for lunch. The person taking the orders had an unwelcoming attitude but the worst part is that I paid about $40 for 4 sandwiches for my coworkers and when we open them, these sandwiches have only 2 thin slices of roast beef. I'm sure that the sandwhich had enough content to fill up some 2nd grader.

Peter and company makes sure the town of Orinda has a nice place to recharge and get breakfast and lunch. I had an iced expresso and a egg scramble sandwich with mushrooms, jack cheese, bacon, and avocado on delicious thick sunflower wheat toast.

This is a nice casual neighborhood sandwich shop. I do like their coffee. I've had their quiche & salad special which is very good. Soups & sandwiches are also very good.
